    While everything started out good they have really been dropping the ball lately…read more My car insurance was going up 70 dollars a month and my agent never contacted me or looked for better rates like he promised he would do regularly to ensureI always got the best rate. I found out he is on a week long vacation. I called in and spoke to someone there after having to call in multiple times. These people like just shooting people to voice mail and do not seem to care you have a job and you are trying to do this on your lunch. Finally got someone and they promised they would get back with me the next day with insurance quotes. Kind of important because my insurance policy would be renewing in less than a week at the new 300 dollar a month price. Well they never did. Called when they opened the day after he was suppose to contact me back. I explained my situation to the receptionist and that I had to speak to someone this morning to get it resolved. She transferred me to someones voice mail. I called back and got the same girl who again didn't seem to care I had to get this taken care of, she was very huffy and rude and once again transferred me to someones voice mail. Reasonably upset I called back a third time. Finally I got Ashley who placed me on hold until she got the manager. The manager was mad at me and lectured me for being short with her people when it was not their fault. I explained my situation to her and also explained that the first receptionist I reached twice kept transferring me to peoples voice mails when I needed to speak to someone this morning to get this fix and I also explained it was not my fault. She basically asked me what I expected because they had just opened and she could not help me now but would have to get back with me. She also said there just may not be another insurance rate lower for me. Just excuses when Barker Weber people dropped the ball multiple times through this entire process and then want to act like I am the bad guy for being upset at their continued incompetence. I have already been looking for my own car insurance and found 2 quotes of less than 200 a month where their best quote was only 220 a month last time. It seems they have no sense of customer service or making customers happy. While I may have been short with the people I spoke to I never cussed or yelled at anyone. I was just very forceful and told them exactly what was happening and what had to happen to resolve the situation Something their office manager that morning was to incompetent to handle

I live in Detroit, where insurance doesn't come cheap. They beat the premiums for auto insurance I was being offered by the national chains by 50%, and so I went to them when I insured the first home that I purchased. There was an incident where the policy was originally written for the value of the mortgage, and the underwriter attempted to up the coverage to the replacement value. Now, please understand about my home, is that never, would I ever, attempt to rebuild a 4,000 square foot Colonial with seven bedrooms. We went back and forth for a while until Ric Walton, the firm's chairman, stepped in and made good on the original policy, saving me from paying substantially more than we had initially agreed upon. I'm not sure how they did it, but this is an example of a local firm with whom you can have the utmost confidence in doing business. They stick to their word, and they truly put customers first. I had called requesting my insurance rep. I said hello & asked for who takes care of my insurance. I wasn't sure because they change often. Rather than the girl saying, I'll check and be right back - - -SHE WENT SILENT while she checked. I did not know she was checking.....After a bit of silence, I said ""HELLO, are you their""...... Well GOOD LORD, you would have thought the world ended......Her response was nasty, condescending, rude & totally uncalled for......She barked "" yes I'm here, I can only do things so fast.....OMG- - -Sooooo nasty !!!!! I get people have bad days, we all do but this was 9:00 am.....What a way for her to start her day..... How unfortunate this person is the first person you see when entering this business or hear when calling the Insurance Group.....Hope her issues get better!
