Family owned and run, a tiny shop nestled between two slihtly bigger shops, easily missed if your not careful. They dont just repair shoes, they will do belts purses, anything leather that need a repair they will look at and tell you if it is possible. They cut keys and engrave, dog tags, trophys, anything you take they will look at. The guys are great and really do try to help you with anything, and there is a distinct smell inside of leater and glue that is somehow reassuring.

Fair play to Mark Rogers, it's a good old local business competing with the more chain-style equivalent Timpson down the road, and local businesses are always worth supporting.

The staff are pleasant and you often don't have to wait very long for your shoes back. Sometimes they will do them while you wait - they are always very obliging. The quality of their repairs is very good - they can make a tatty old pair of shoes look like new. They also sell leather goods - purses, bags, wallets, belts etc. and sometimes these are on sale price and work out very cheap. They also cut keys while you wait. They are not too pricey - average I would say. The keys have always fitted - I've never had trouble with any. They also sell things for you to do your own shoe repairs - my husband buys the little metal heel tips frpm there.

Same as any other Timpsons you go there if you either a) need keys cutting or b) need shoes mending I've never personally taken any shoes to be mendeed there, but if you're partial to wearing high heels, and are in the habit of snapping them off when sozzled, the little man in this shop will be a lifesaver. Never heard a bad thing about the cobbler, he's good at what he does. If you need keys cutting it's the only place to go in town I believe. They do a fine job on various door keys, but I've never tried cutting spare car keys there, might be worth calling ahead if you have a spangly key with an immobiliser chip built in as I'm unsure whether or not they can code the keys. Whenever I've needed keys cutting the service has been very quick, either cut while you wait, or pop back when you're ready - whichever suits. The keys have always opened the door, so, err, they're fit for purpose, and the price is always reasonable.
