I have only dealt with gim by phone and post but the customer care is like from a bygone age. He has a very good reputation on the watch forums as being a specialist in old Russian mechanical watches that other watchmakers won't touch. I collect these as they are tough and reliable and he has fixed a couple up for me a treat. I would trust him with any watch and he will be my go to man in future.

Gave examples of what I wanted - staff checked in the store to make sure it matched the specifications. Worked perfectly out of the box. Came with everything needed (didn't need cables, etc, but offered for free if I did). Went back two days later for a new monitor - cables, etc, again offered for free. Set up immediately. The staff were friendly and knowledgeable. If you're in Bangor and need a PC or parts for it, or repairs, I really don't think you could do better.

Mr. Constantine is an exceptional cobbler, and expert key cutter…read more My dog had helpfully gnawed the back off an expensive pair of shoes, before I had even worn them. I very nearly put them in the bin, as I thought the very sight of them would be a reminder to me of my stupidity in leaving them in the line of fire! On the offchance , I asked Mr Constantine whether all was lost, and he was able to refashion the shoe, wrapping a piece of soft leather over the damaged area , and expertly stitching it all into place. You would never notice anything, and , if anything , the repaired shoe is the more confortable of the pair. The bill was a small fraction of what, in all fairness, it should have been. The lessons probably are twofold. First, we all are probably too quick to dispose of things which could be repaired. Second, this shop is a gem which should be valued and supported .

She took time to find out my needs and my budget and suggested phones to suit. Not the most expensive. I was given the opportunity to try the phone out for myself. She also demonstrated features which I was unfamiliar with previously. Although I was given lots of information about tariffs I did not receive the hard sell. I didn't buy a phone on this occasion but will definitely go back there when I am ready to change my phone.

Same as any other Timpsons you go there if you either a) need keys cutting or b) need shoes mending I've never personally taken any shoes to be mendeed there, but if you're partial to wearing high heels, and are in the habit of snapping them off when sozzled, the little man in this shop will be a lifesaver. Never heard a bad thing about the cobbler, he's good at what he does. If you need keys cutting it's the only place to go in town I believe. They do a fine job on various door keys, but I've never tried cutting spare car keys there, might be worth calling ahead if you have a spangly key with an immobiliser chip built in as I'm unsure whether or not they can code the keys. Whenever I've needed keys cutting the service has been very quick, either cut while you wait, or pop back when you're ready - whichever suits. The keys have always opened the door, so, err, they're fit for purpose, and the price is always reasonable.
