I very nearly put them in the bin, as I thought the very sight of them would be a reminder to me of my stupidity in leaving them in the line of fire! On the offchance , I asked Mr Constantine whether all was lost, and he was able to refashion the shoe, wrapping a piece of soft leather over the damaged area , and expertly stitching it all into place. You would never notice anything, and , if anything , the repaired shoe is the more confortable of the pair. The bill was a small fraction of what, in all fairness, it should have been. The lessons probably are twofold. First, we all are probably too quick to dispose of things which could be repaired. Second, this shop is a gem which should be valued and supported .

The staff are pleasant and you often don't have to wait very long for your shoes back. Sometimes they will do them while you wait - they are always very obliging. The quality of their repairs is very good - they can make a tatty old pair of shoes look like new. They also sell leather goods - purses, bags, wallets, belts etc. and sometimes these are on sale price and work out very cheap. They also cut keys while you wait. They are not too pricey - average I would say. The keys have always fitted - I've never had trouble with any. They also sell things for you to do your own shoe repairs - my husband buys the little metal heel tips frpm there.

According to Forrest Gump, you can tell a lot about a person from their shoes (got to get your wear out of a good bit of footwear!) , I thought I'd rather get my faves repaired than have to go through the effort of breaking in a whole new pair. What you need is a good old cobblers. And so, finding myself infront of Keys N Heels, I ventured inward. With starting prices of £4.75 for flats depending on the scale of the repair, it's darn cheap! And between £4.95 and £6.95 for stilettos depending on the type of heel, rubber or metal repairs available. (Great for salvaging those post-night out accidents!) Much better for your bank balance than a whole new pair of shoes and the guy at the counter was exceptionally helpful. All done while you wait.
