After 42 years of dealing with military treatment facilities, I changed from Tricare Prime to…read moreTricare Select and found Marcos Medical as a network provider. Everyone is pleasant, efficient, and professional. My wait times have been minimal. Labs and referrals are easy. I haven't seen Dr. Marcos yet, but my NP has been amazing.

HORMONES... Very disappointing experience with Marcos…read moreMedical Group. I initially came in seeking estrogen pellet therapy because my current estrogen treatment is not adequately controlling my symptoms. I waited over an hour at my first visit (as a new patient) and over 30 minutes at my second. I paid $158 for the first visit and $118 for the second (my insurance my problem), which I was told would be a consultation for pellet placement. After discussing my history at length, I was ultimately told that because I am still menstruating, their BioTE program would only allow a testosterone pellet--not the estrogen therapy I came in seeking. My provider even consulted her supervising physician seeking an exception and I was still denied. This practice relies solely on a computer program for dosing and not symptom dosing which is what the most recent evidence based research states to do. I completely understand that a practice can have its own treatment protocols. My issue is that this limitation was not communicated to me before I paid for a second appointment. I would not have incurred the additional expense had I known the treatment I was seeking was not an option. Overall, I left feeling that my time and money were not respected. This clinic is for menopausal women or women who have had a hysterectomy. Biote (the computer program) does not treat perimenopausal women who are menstrating with estrogen deprivation symptoms and neither does Marcos Medical group.

Dr. Robert Bass is an excellent physician. He is a scientist and a researcher, as well. Whoever…read morewrote the first, negative review must have had a one-time experience which went awry. This is not the norm for this practice. The reason I have chosen to write this essay is that as of December 1, 2018, Dr. Bass is no longer with Transition Care Medical Group. Further, there are approximately five additional physicians who do practice with the Group, and the newest took Dr. Bass's place also on December 1, 2018. I, as a rule, do not place reviews via the Internet. However, when I happened to see the one truly ugly review of Dr. Bass AND that the other five physicians are not listed at all, I want to clarify to whoever compiles this information on "yelp"? to bring Transition Care's physicians up to speed. I was Dr. Bass's patient for near 20 years. He was kind, soft-spoken, and brilliant in relieving some painful symptoms I suffered. The information on yelp's website is virtually non-existent. Please wipe what is here now, off your site. Begin again with new, correct information or simply terminate this site, period. It is not helpful. MFD, PE

Carlos came in scolding my mom about her diet and how she does not exercise enough and then looks at me and asks if I work out. (Which I do 5-6 days a week. He continued to rant about Americans and how they have normalized obesity. All while my poor mom is there just laid up! He says anymore questions? I said you haven't answered any questions what about her nose and shoulder? He said I will schedule an MRI on her shoulder and left! Needed 2 referrals for specialist, doctor said his staff member Amanda would take care of them. Never happened. Called several times, spoke with Amanda. She did nothing. My uncle is completely out of meds and is very ill. Called today spoke to a very rude and unprofessional girl named Ashley, she hardly listened until I got upset with her. She said doctor will call in meds. My uncle received a late threatening phone call from doctor and said he's going to call in meds but he will need to find another doctor. Wow! No problem! U are a complete loser and don't deserve to be called a doctor because u nor your staff can do your job! Fair warning to anyone considering going to this so called doctor!
