Graciously, the office I go to let us pay (more money) and return for touch ups as they bought the machine. But it kept breaking and cost way to much to fix so it is no longer in use.

I have been a patient at Dr. O Medical since August 2014. I am not a fan of big pharma and Dr. O's practice is largely based on more holistic approaches to medicine than just "prescription writing". Recently I received a letter from Dr. O regarding the decision to require a subscription payment from each client. While at first I was upset about this added cost, I was quick to realize that healthcare reform has not been kind to doctors, especially those who care deeply about their patients and want to have the time to listen carefully to them. I have been a patient at practices where insurance companies dictate the amount of time the physician can spend with me, the types of brands of drugs they can prescribe, and the treatments I can and cannot have. Because I have enjoyed such a high quality of care at Dr. O medical, I decided to stay a patient. I can always get a same day appointment (within reason), Mr. Martinez has almost always been on time, and my appointments are never rushed. I am very happy with the services I have received, very happy with the treatments and supplements, even those that my insurance would not cover. I know people who pay substantial subscription costs to be a member of certain medical offices, and some of these doctors do not even take insurance any more - they just give you a bill that you can turn it for reimbursement. I am thankful for Dr. O's and her staff, especially Mr. Martinez who gives me excellent care. On a final note, I have been a citizen of a country that enjoys socialized medicine, which is not in fact free, it is very expensive when you take in to consideration the taxation rate. The socialized medicine I was familiar with was not quick, adaptable, easy to access, or timely. I much prefer the system we enjoy here and I am willing to pay for extras that I can afford. It's nice to have the choice. I have had many interactions with the office staff and assistants and have never had a single issue. I have always been treated by name and with utmost respect. If you want to be a real person to your provider, and not just a case number, you want to consider Dr. O Medical.

We have both appreciated the time she takes with us, her thoughtful questions to better understand our concerns, and her professionalism. Although she is young, she demonstrated the knowledge and experience that we look for in a doctor. I recommend her highly if anyone has moved to the San Antonio area and is looking for a very good doctor.

She was refused service for arriving TWO minutes past "cut-off" time, despite having attempted to call and notify the office multiple times that she would be late due to unexpected construction/traffic (she was only able to leave a message, which they ignored). The receptionist and head nurse were rude and even laughed at my mother's situation. The other two receptionists were blithely talking on what appeared to be personal calls. There was only one family in the waiting room. DO NOT see this practice if you are looking for a professional, caring medical staff. My mother has lived in San Antonio for 31 years and has never experienced this kind of a horrific experience. I am praying that she gets the medical help she needs, since now she can't find anybody who will see her before the New Year. What a travesty and a disgrace. Beware.
