We made the 2-hour drive down to Burnsville, waited an hour past our appointment time, heard Dr. Kim's entire conversation with his previous patient through the paper-thin walls only to have Dr. Kim tell us that it is illegal to have artificial disk replacement surgery in the United States (which it is not). We made it very clear when we made the appointment that the purpose was to talk with a Dr. about artificial disk replacement as a future option. They charged us a crazy amount of $$ to get my husbands information over the phone for his appointment in Burnsville and they charged us for the appointment in which we were told it's illegal to have artificial disk replacement. If that truly is what Dr. Kim believes, then why did he proceed to see my husband knowing that was what we were looking to talk about??

"Dr." Sunny Kim took that all away for my dad. My dad: a man, father and "Bompa"(grandfather) who is honest, trusting and has gone above and beyond for his family and others his entire life. The fact that he unfortunately fell prey to this doctor is extremely sad and forever life changing. My dad is in his 70's and should have been considered a "high risk" patient and a consult should have taken place with his established primary care doctor before ever seeing him as a candidate for this level of surgery. None of this happened. If this was taken into account, I can guarantee the surgery would not have happened. In fact, the hospital where the surgery took place had "no idea" where his prior health records were. This protocol is part of ANY and EVERY surgery. I looked up the Core Ethical Standards (ABS/AAOS) for surgeons that have strict coding guidelines for procedures ( like any other "specialist") Why weren't they followed? 1) Patient-Centered Care- Surgeons must act in the patient's best interest. Did anyone ever discuss WORST case scenerio? You may never walk again, you will sleep sitting up and have no mobility, your independence will be close to nothing and your quality of life will forever change. Why isn't Dr.Kim held to this standard? 2) Integrity, safety and evidence, and professional care follow this. Everyone who has seen my dad, asks how does he "feel." He is a man of few words and his pain is a 10 out of 10! We are eager to learn what type of follow up care could possibly help my dad. It will be 1 year in Feb. since his surgery. How is this even possible? I highly encourage anyone considering this surgery to reevaluate and his advertising/commercials.They are misleading and false. Please consider a consult with a trusted medical provider. The alternative is permanent damage. Zero stars

Unfortunately, my second visit resulted in a serious and medically documented injury. During that appointment, my lower back was adjusted in a way that immediately led to severe complications. Shortly afterward, I was unable to have bowel movements, and my condition rapidly worsened to the point that I had to go to the ER. I was admitted to the hospital and diagnosed with a perforated colon, requiring a week-long hospitalization. After being discharged, I contacted Dr. Knutson directly. He acknowledged the situation and told me he had informed Dr. Alex Twenge, DC, and that corrective care would be provided. Despite those assurances, no meaningful or appropriate follow-up care occurred. I have text message documentation confirming these communications. This experience raised serious concerns for me about the standard of care and the lack of accountability afterward. The physical, emotional, and personal impact has been significant, including time lost with my family that I cannot get back. Based on my experience, I would strongly encourage others to carefully consider their options and proceed with extreme caution before seeking treatment here.

I received a notification late Friday evening saying my appointment was scheduled for 9 am. I was already confused on the different time, so I showed up at 8:35, i filled out the paperwork, then waited, and waited and waited. At 9:18 I was taken back by a chiropractic assistant to go into this office that I was instructed to watch a 7 minute video. It was a waste of time! Then when the video was done, I waited and waited and waited. I finally went back and the doctor and I talked about pains and he said he wanted me to do xrays, no prob as I know this is normal for chiropractors. But there was SO MUCH time I was just sitting by myself waiting. I thought a new patient appointment would be efficient and make me feel like I am cared about but all the excess time spent waiting I was just glad the appointment was free. I am definitely not going to continue care with them based on the experience I had.
