1. I just moved to the area and I went to this new doctor. I have been to 2 appointments thus far and I have not once seen this doctor. I have only seen 2 other physician assistants. Not once did they explain why the doctor didn't come in nor ever even talk to me. I have not once even seen the doctor here. 2. I called over 10 times within a 2 month period trying to get a few thing accomplished. One, was getting their office to get records transferred from my old spine doctor to their office. Two, was to get my current lab results mailed to me from their office. Three, was to set up a new appointment for myself. They answered my first call about the records and said they would do that. After a few weeks, I heard nothing and received nothing, so I called to see what was going on. No answer and no call back. I called again. No answer and no call back. I called again and again, over 10 times, no call back ever. I have left several nice and polite messages for them and they don't ever call me back. Finally, about my 10th call was more assertive. Still, no call back. I have never in my life (in 30+ years) ever dealt with a doctors office that was so bad about getting things done and calling back their patients. I also have never been to a doctor where I never even saw the doctor. It is so weird here! They clearly aren't organized and clearly they do not value their patients. It's complicated. Dr. Ramirez was our family doctor for over 10 years and was always caring and compassionate for my son. The last year or so, it's been more difficult to get help when my son experiences issues. My last experience, I practically had a yelling match because I wasn't being heard about my concerns for my son's health. Which turned out to be legitimate concerns that the doctor has since acknowledged. They are doing what's necessary to help my son now, which I appreciate, I am still frustrated that at times I feel like I have to go to battle to be heard. It's a crazy time right now, so I'm giving everyone the benefit of the doubt and praying everything works out and life can get back to normal soon. read more

For me, Dr. Mark Ramirez is someone that cares for his patients, but not only is patient; he also treats his staff with respect. I can trust in his treatment plan, his advice. You won't have to worry about waiting around, my appointments have always been on time, I'm sure there are days when patients may need longer time, and he will also give you that time. If zero stars were an option, this doctor would receive the award. My appointment was scheduled for 10:30. I was called back at 10:44, which isn't bad at all and I became hopeful that my new doctor would be a good fit for me. Oh how wrong I was. The front office staff is as unprofessional as it gets. The two women are a mother-daughter team who speak their personal business for the whole world to hear. The daughter had her boyfriend in the front office, like she was sitting on her front porch! If that doesn't make you and your personal health information feel secure, I don't know what will (sarcasm in its simplest form, folks). Fast forward an hour and 20 minutes later. The great Doc enters. He not apologize for the incredible wait, but instead demanded that I take a seat (I got a little tired of that chair after over an hour). He had such a pompous air about himself. Without words it said, "I'm worth waiting for and you've got no better options " I proceeded with the visit. I came for antibiotics for an abscess I had on my skin. Instead of a prescription, this man insisted on draining it himself and told me to "keep coming back" whenever it resurfaced. I had to find another Dr., cause my Dr. that I've had for years is on medical leave, Dr. Ramirez suggested a different treatment plan than my old Dr. and at first I was hesitant but after being on this new treatment plan I very happy with the results and would recommend him to anyone I know. read more

My experience with Dr. Ramirez was that he is a friendly, warm, caring doctor. He took a genuine interest in me personally, not just my medical records. He made sure to address in detail any issues or questions that I had and ensured I understood everything. I left his office feeling relaxed, cheerful, motivated and clear-minded on moving forward and taking better care of myself physically and mentally. I haven't even had the wonderful chance at meeting "the great doctor", but I think I'll pass after reading the other reviews on here, as well as my own experience (short lived as it may have been). What I will say, though, is that I got the chance to speak to about 3(?) different women on the phone while attempting to make my first appointment with them. Each one wanted to "put me on hold for a moment" and before I could say anything, they were already gone. When another one came back, they re-asked me the same questions over and over (Name? Healthcare provider? New patient or returning?). FINALLY, one decided to do their job, and decided to say "Wellllll...for a new patient....at 8 new patients a dayyyyy....our first open appointment is late Decemberrrrrrr." I laughed at her, "Seriously?" It's October, for crying out loud! "When we get 8 new patients a day, yes." Her attitude was seeping through the phone. Apparently, being a new patient is a BURDEN for this office, and they'd rather not deal with you. So, if you're like me, and get automatically assigned to this place, don't even bother. Dr. Ramirez is the biggest joke of medical doctors. I went with my mom to an appointment she has been having so much pain so I wanted to make sure I could speak to him and have him send my mom for Xrays or in MRI if possible! He responded with and I quote " u need to be in pain for 3 months then we may have something to worry about. Seriously do not go there. He did not send my mom for any test snd told her to stretch, except she can at all! I will be having her test done soon and so help me god if there is something there I will be sending my lawyer to him! I'd been going to Dr. Ramirez for an open wound on my left calf. He told me it didn't need anything on it or any special ointment, just wash it with water and soap. The wound got bigger until it covered from the left side of my left calf to the right side of my left calf. I was then concerned about infection. I went to the Dr. and what he did to me I will never forget. I wish I could. He scrubbed my open wound which resulted in pain like my leg was on fire, literally. I screamed STOP, he didn't, I begged him to stop but he didn't. I have since learned from three other doctors that you never scrub an open wound and when a patient says stop, he is supposed to stop. One doctor said he should be reported and the other two doctors called him a barbarian. read more

My first encounter with this doctor and staff were wonderful. He has so many patients waiting for him to be seen. I asked some of them if they have been with this Doctor for a long time and to my surprised they said that they came all the way from Los angeles and followed him here, because she trusted in his clinical acumen. and so was my experience with Dr. Ramirez. He has excellent bedside manner, clinical acumen and detailed in his explanation of my treatment and medication. He was honest enough to tell me that since I preferred Brand name medication, the insurance might not approve of it but would give me a generic option to which I objected nonetheless. Our first appointment and experience with Dr. Ramirez, and his staff was a great one. He was very attentive, asked all the right questions regarding our past or present illnesses and conditions. Dr. Ramirez is an excellent doctor. He is very professional and has exceptional bedside manner. As a senior citizen and with my health deteriorating, he has been very informative and helpful when it comes to my health. The woman at the front desk is extremely condescending and belittling. The staff often claims to not receive faxes from my referring doctors, pharmacy and insurance company - all of who have fax confirmations saying the fax went through. When I ask to have an explanation as to why they don't receive any faxes, she said "They don't work here, they wouldn't know if I received the fax." And today I when I expressed how frustrated I am with their fax machine "never" receiving faxes, her response was "Maybe you should find another doctor." I explained to her that I don't have a problem with the doctor, I have a problem with the staff not receiving ANY faxes from ANYONE who sends them for my referrals. I have been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and it is extremely painful. They have dropped the ball reauthorizing my prescriptions numerous times. I have been hung up on and lied to by the office staff of this facility. I recommend this doctor to anyone - but the office staff is horrendous. read more
