On a Sunday, a lot of restaurants are closed in Lisbon. Our hotel recommended this place to us. It was just around the corner and open on a Sunday .which was perfect as we did not feel like wandering too far out that evening.
We got there around 730 pm and by 830 it was bustling with people. No better way to start our evening than with a pitcher of sangria right? We then moved on to a side salad, linguica, and shellfish soup. Our waiter was quite amusing. After we finished these courses, he came by with the entrees and said Shall we continue? The linguica was delightful but the shellfish soup was just okay. It had one shrimp cut up into three pieces.
For entrees we tried the Portuguese steak with jamon and also some clams. Both dishes were good but after looking around I think I should have tried their fish. The table next to us ordered 3 types of fish and the tiger prawn for each person along with a side of veggies.
Overall, a good spot for a Sunday evening. read more
