Amazingly fresh. Had the huge clam stuffed with cheese and octopus the grilled on an open fire wood grill. So freaking good. They have tons of different sauces if you want to spice it up. They offer other typical Mexican seafood items but I stuck with the clams. Will definitely come back.

It's like pandora's box, I've open up all this flavor and things will never be the same. This food is beyond delicious. This is how food should be done, with actual taste. I've gone too so many places where service is amazing but the food is just meh. Why waste your time in opening up a restaurant excellent service but no FLAVA in yo food. But yes, the service here is parallel to its appetizing food. But let me give you a guide of what to get, ummmm everything! Jk. Everything is good but I'd go with the agua chile and/or shrimp tacos. Mouthwatering I tell you. Just make sure to specify the spicy level as things can get spicy really fast. The times that I've come here I've had to use my Spanish so not sure if they speak English. But learning Spanish for such amazing food is a small price to pay. Which reminds me about price; I believe it varies on the seafood market price, but it's definitely worth every peso.

Best callo de acha. Expect to pay a heavy bill but quality exceeds price. Their tacos are also awesome !!!

This was my first time trying Sonoran seafood, and I must say the shrimp tacos were fantastic with great salsa options.

Fantastic seafood options here- both raw and cooked. The cheesy clams "a las brasas" are particularly tasty. Very friendly service, too.

I love their tacos, particularly the marlin and the fish traditional tacos come in orders of 3, you can't order individual.

Would grade these gourmet dogs as the best overall that I've ever had and come at excellent value too! Stopped by most recently this past weekend while on vacation in the San Diego area. Humo is probably the most popular of the food trucks at Telefonica Gastro Park, primarily due to the tasty hot dogs! I almost always get the bacon dog but the pulled pork dog is excellent as well. The bacon hot dog comes loaded with bacon and other tasty seasonings. They also give you a complimentary side of corn flavored with cheese and another seasoning. I'm personally not big on corn but even I would have to admit it was super delicious with the seasoning. The entire plate comes out to only 90 pesos (around $4.50) which is obviously an excellent price for a meal. The dog is fairly filling - I was good after just one but many can probably eat two with no problem. The hot dog comes on what I think is a thicker, ciabatta bread. I think the bread is fine, though wouldn't consider it great... it's the meat and seasoning of the dog that stand out for me. They have a couple other hot dog types as well (besides bacon and pulled pork), but not being a Spanish speaker I couldn't interpret - you'd have to check the menu. They seem to always have at least one staff fluent in English who can help you through the selections. IMO, this spot is a must visit for any foodie/meat lover visiting TJ!

BBQ with a Mexican twist!…read more Humo is a stick to your ribs kind of food. Heavy, but filling. It's located inside the Telefónica food hall on the right hand side in the outdoor patio area. I went with a pork bratwurst style sausage with pulled pork on top. Double the oink power! I don't really need to explain this dish. Pork sausage, pickled veggies, cojita cheese, corn, and then pulled pork. All of this heaven inside a pillowy soft bun. Hubba hubba! The food came out fast and it was delish. Telefónica can be overwhelming as far as food options go. So if this is your first time here, Humo is a solid option and won't disappoint! Party on!

I had basically given up on finding a bomb fish taco spot until a friend recommended this place, and now I'm hooked. You definitely gotta try it! The portions are a good size, and honestly, you can't go wrong. Also, the camaron tostadas are straight fire. You can chill and eat at the tables or take it to go. Service is always fast and friendly, making it an easy favorite.

El Prieto (Main St, San Diego) Rating: 2.5 / 5 Stars…read more I really wanted to enjoy my visit to El Prieto, but unfortunately, the experience was a series of "almosts" that didn't quite land. Here is the breakdown of my recent meal: The Food The kitchen missed the mark on a few basics. My bistec ranchero was underwhelming; the sauce was overly "tomatoey," lacking the deep, savory complexity or spice you expect from a solid ranchero. To make matters worse, the rice served on the side was noticeably cold, which is always a disappointment. The Drinks The beverage situation was equally frustrating. I was surprised to find that the bar offers no wine options at all. I decided to pivot to an Arnold Palmer, which ended up being the worst version of the drink I've ever had--the proportions were completely off. Service & Atmosphere The service felt lacking throughout the night, with very little attention paid to the table. Most off-putting, however, is the policy stated on the menu: a 45-minute window to eat. It's hard to relax and enjoy a meal when you feel like you're being timed by the staff. Verdict Between the cold sides, a limited bar, and the rushed atmosphere created by the time limit, I can't say I'd be in a hurry to return. There are too many great spots in San Diego to settle for a 45-minute countdown.
