The outdoor dining area is pleasant, and shared by several vendors.

I wanted to love this food, but it was hard to find the sausage amidst too much bread. I had their most popular item (one of the staff spoke fluent English), a smoked sausage in a bun topped with candied bacon. It came with a small piece of corn on the cob. My husband had the same sausage with the "Greek" toppings, and the flavor was spot-on Greek, but it was a ton of saucy tzatziki and basically turned the whole thing into a saucy wet mess. The sausage itself wasn't the star of either dish, and when I did get a bite of just sausage it didn't seem to have enough flavor to punch past the toppings. But the biggest problem was that the bun/bread was way too big for the sausage. Kudos to these guys for doing something different and truly creative, it just needs refining.

Second time eating here. Had the bacon sandwich the first time; absolutely slayed. This time I went for the pork, which was a Mexican play on BBQ: pork brat, topped with pulled pork, corn, cotija, and sauce. The small corn on the cob slathered in cheese, sauce, and cilantro (?) is the perfect side dish. This is my "go-to" at Telefónica. Couldn't recommend more. Also, this food hall, in general, looks like it could be somewhere in Brooklyn--complete with tap room in the middle of it. If you visit TJ and don't eat lunch at Telefónica, you're missing out.

Humo is one of those places that makes Gastro Telefonica so great. After entering Telefonica from the front it is the second place on the left. This review relates to my first visit to Humo in July 2017. On this visit to Telefonica I was really interested in trying a different place. After enjoying a tuna tostada and shrimp taco at one truck I was still slightly hungry. The sandwiches at Humo were looking so delicious on menu and the prices were reasonable to I thought why not try 'em out. I settled on the Griego sandwich which has beef sausage, a ciabatta or sourdough roll, cream sauce and parmesan. While it seems simplistic it was so yummy. All sandwiches seem to be paired with a piece of corn on the cob which has some sauce drizzled on it. On this visit this meal was $5, and I can imagine it being closer to $10 in San Diego. I highly recommend trying Humo if you dine at Gastro Telefonica. As many other places in Tijuana, I am already wanting to return.

If you're looking for amazing pork options COME HERE! The hot dog was hands down the best! We choose the each get a bacon wrapped hot dog and boy was I a happy camper! $5 USA each and you can't beat that price! Staff was friendly spoke English which is helpful and very willing to suggest some food options. I can't wait to try the pulled pork next time!

Oh my gosh, why has this place only got 28 reviews? Their bacon topped dog is hands down the best dog I have ever eaten. Ever. Easily the coolest food truck in Telefonica (and they're all cool), their bread is light and crunchy and soft and floury, their creamy mustard, amazing. They have photos of their dogs for those of us who sadly no hablo Espanol. If you're in TJ, eat here, eat here now!! I would cross the border again for these.

Humo charcuteria is the food truck my husband tried out. It's known for sausage's and he decided to go for the one that was bacon everything and sprinkled with more bacon on top on a ciabatta bread.. He even got corn on the cob on the side, It was so sweet with a nice drizzle sauce on top made it even better! Paired with an imperial stout was just perfect.

Super good sausages, I was super impressed with the bacon sausage, it comes on ciabatta bread, or at least I think it was ciabatta but it's crazy fire , give it a try

Bad: * Very, very hard to find a table. * The food prices are very expensive for the quality of mediocre food and drinks. * We only ordered six pieces of oysters and two shrimp tostadas. It took over 30 minutes to get our food. It took too long. * The Customer service while ordering food was so bad it seemed like they didn't even care about our order. * I feel bad for the waiters and waitresses delivering food because they were running around looking for the numbers on the table. I know that it can be very frustrating and chaotic. * Not a good place for large parties due to the very limited seating. * Not very children friendly, more for an adult environment. * But the worst of it was the parking, it was very bad and hard to find, you might have to park more than two blocks away to find any parking. Conclusions: we were very disappointed and not a good experience. Most likely we will not be coming back.

I had basically given up on finding a bomb fish taco spot until a friend recommended this place, and now I'm hooked. You definitely gotta try it! The portions are a good size, and honestly, you can't go wrong. Also, the camaron tostadas are straight fire. You can chill and eat at the tables or take it to go. Service is always fast and friendly, making it an easy favorite.

Just a heads up before you go, there is no seating. It's a standing-room-only setup with barrel tables throughout the outdoor space. You order from one of the trucks, find a place to stand, and enjoy your food. The atmosphere felt lively and authentic, making it part of the experience. Service: Service was quick and efficient despite the crowd. There was even someone helping direct parking, which made arriving and finding a spot much easier. Food: The complimentary consommé completely stole the show for me. It was rich, flavorful, and packed with chunks of seafood. Every bite had a deep, savory flavor with just the right amount of spice. It was honestly my favorite thing we tried. We ordered the Gobernador, the Negrita, and fish tacos. The Gobernador was loaded with shrimp and melted cheese, creating the perfect combination of rich, savory seafood flavor. The shrimp tasted incredibly fresh and was cooked perfectly. The Negrita was another standout, piled high with shrimp, sliced avocado, and topped with an oyster that added even more fresh ocean flavor. It was served with tostadas on the side, and every bite was packed with bold seasoning, fresh seafood, and great texture. The fish taco was good and made with fresh ingredients. My bf and I are big foodies and have eaten a lot of fish tacos over the years, so we're probably tougher critics than most. While it wasn't our favorite item of the meal, it was still enjoyable, and the Gobernador and Negrita were the clear standouts for us. While the prices are a little higher, the quality, freshness, and portion sizes help justify it. Overall, this was a great experience from start to finish. Between the flavorful seafood, and generous portions, it's definitely worth coming back again.

When I first tried an aguachiles dish (by Rick Bayless, go figure), it consisted of raw yellowtail submerged in an acidic lemon juice and seasoned lightly with salt. NO chili pepper in the juice! A far cry from traditional! The aguachiles here is as traditional as they come. I selected a mild (1 chili pepper) and the TJ Queen of Seafood (apparently) went to work, crushing a chili pepper with a pestle into my giant mortar bowl. She then squeezed in a bunch of limes, cut in some cucumbers and onions, and seasoned lightly before adding the raw shrimp. WOW! My aguachiles was served straight up in mortar! Shrimp was clean, there was a nice touch of heat, and the liquid was pleasantly acidic. If you want more heat, they even have a multitude of bottles (over 10) with different sauces lined up for you to choose from. I am quite ashamed to admit that I have not had enough traditional Mexican food even though I grew up in Chula Vista surrounded by a ton of them. I believe Aquachiles may have become a new favorite. Hopefully my next dish will be as good as the one I had here!
