Fish tacos and mixed seafood cocktail, yummm!
    Lance T.

Hungry after a Costco run I searched for a nearby place for lunch. So glad I opted for this hidden gem! I had 2 fish tacos and a mix seafood cocktail. Fish inside the tacos are deep fried and garnished with all the right stuff. The Mix seafood cocktail was loaded with tasty shrimp, clams, octopus, etc. and was delicious! While I waited they gave me a complimentary cup of soup and even though we're in a humid and hot weather pattern I still gladly gulped it down my gullet! I'll def. return when I get a craving for legit mex. seafood!

They are always set up around the corner from my home. Been here for over a year and just tried for the first time. I had a fish taco (original style) and a mixed fish grill taco. The fish taco was more than legit. Fresh ingredients. The mixed grilled fish taco took up a whole plate. There was so much fish I had to make a paella out of the half I couldn't finish. Lol Shrimp, octopus, muscles, squid, scallops. So so good!

Double order of the Ceviche Tostada - plenty enough for one person!

Sooooo good and soooo cheap! One thing I noticed was I couldn't tell the difference between the shrimp and fish taco, so for me, I'll just get the fish tacos since they're cheaper and taste the same! The ceviche tostada is to die for!!! They also have the sauces out for you to take and they're so tasty. So glad I just live down the street from here. My mouth is watering just thinking of it!

So, I live smack in the middle of amazing tacos shops in South Park. Theres alot of competition out there. Back in the day there was only Benny's down the street. I have to say, each one of these places around here have something great, BUT, this mariscos truck is spectacular! I ordered a X-Large Pulpo cocktail and 2 fish tacos. 22.50 total. I was there around 1pm, a little lunch crowd and my food took about 15min or so. All I have to say is be patient it's well worth the wait. I will def be back for the oysters on a half shell!! Downside: the prices are not available on the menu. : /

DAYUM. Those fish tacos were no joke. I ordered 3 expecting to smash on them after Padres opening day and I was defeated. Came here around 9 and they were just about to close so we had to eat in the parking lot of the market with our food in the trunk of the prius but maaan thats the best kind of eating. My friend ordered the shrimp taco and it came with carne asada as well?? That thing was packed with carne! It should've been called a carne asada taco with some shrimps. Get the orange creamy sauce it goes so well with the tacos! Theres also a habanero hot sauce in a bottle that left a nice burning sensation on my tongue mmmmm hot. eat here its bomb and its cheap!

This spot is amazing!! Everything seemed to be a hit! The fish tostada was to die for! Can't forget the steak as well! We're cane all the way from New York 5 stars!

Best seafood I've had in San Diego! Must try the aguachile and fish tacos! Everything is fresh and delicious made right on the spot.

Amazing fish & shrimp tacos! Super affordable & delicious!! A must try if you like Mexican & seafood. I'm definitely going back to try more menu items, like the soup & tostadas. (Always in same location in Golden Hill)

I asked her what she wanted and she said, "seafood", so I immediately thought of Blue Water, and we drove right over. We parked at a metered spot nearby & walked in at 5pm. Do note that there is no dedicated parking for Blue Water, so at busy times it may be tricky to find a spot, but we had no trouble today. In the main dining ordering area & on the side patio, there were a few tables that were occupied, but there was no ordering line. All of us wanted shrimp today apparently, so my dad and I both got a shrimp taco with lemon garlic butter & my hungry mom got the shrimp platter also with lemon garlic butter. The platter came with 8 shrimp, jasmine rice, and a lovely, fresh garden salad. The server who took our order and brought it out to us was very helpful & nice. They have a ton of fresh seafood on offer though so if shrimp is not your thing, there will likely be another delightful offering from the sea that will suit your fancy. We sat in the side patio area and it was very pleasant. We enjoyed our experience this evening very much! The tacos were big and had more than 5 shrimp in them, plus cabbage, pico, cheddar cheese & white sauce. One taco was pretty decently sized. If I'd been hungrier, two tacos would've been perfect, but today, I was happy with one taco. Yum! Mom enjoyed her platter. It was beautifully prepared. Blue Water also has a decent soft drink selection and beers and wine, but we all just had their water and it was very refreshing! :) By the time we left at 5:45, a line was forming out the door, so we really came out at a good time. Peace!

The oysters were just amazing! I love how they were each unique in taste and so fresh. Wishes I had ordered more. The clam chowder was good, though I'm unsure how it goes well with biscuit when biscuit doesn't do well in soaking up the chowder like a bread would. So, this was alright to me. The charcoal roasted mussels were tasty! Not only were the mussels cooked well, but the sauce that went with it was delicious. Ate every single drop of the sauce! It was hearty, lightly tangy and acidic, yet had that slightly creamy flavor to it. Hiramasa collar was superb. Tender, flavorful and when eating it fresh out of the kitchen, that warmth makes it totally umami. There was plenty of fish meat on it and yes, requires some work compared to a fillet, but the flavor from the collar is not something you can get from a fillet. Worth the extra effort to eat it! Definitely a restaurant I would return to when I'm in San Diego.

Side dishes like fried rice and corn were excellent.

We substituted one of our coleslaw for potato salad, and one of our fries for onion rings. We definitely will continue doing so because it is nice to try out so many different dishes! As always, order the fries well-done for nice crispy fries. It's still on our to-do list to try the chicken parmesan since we've heard so many good things about it, but I really do like my Must Order dishes (listed below). Our server was very attentive, which was especially nice since we were among the first customers there. We only made it through two rounds, but everything we ordered was delicious. The fries were crispy, and the mussels, shrimp, and clams were all meaty. The sauce was flavorful and complemented the seafood well. We finished the meal with the fried Oreo and ice cream, which was the perfect sweet ending. We'd definitely come back again for the AYCE experience!

It was one of the…read morefirst seafood boil restaurants to set up shop outside of the Convoy District back in the day. The building has the shape of an old school Pizza Hut with light blue paint on the exterior. I believe its predecessor was a Vietnamese eatery. A small dedicated parking lot was available to the right and back of the structure. A large countertop was in the front of the room, however a sign explicitly stated that seating was not allowed there. That was not the case when the business first opened. The rest of the dining room had lots of four top tables that could be pushed together if you had a large party. I would say the seating capacity was around 60. A worker brought me to a table and laid out a large sheet of wax paper to serve as a tablecloth and/or the surface on which a boil bag contents would be placed. The two-sided menu had build your own seafood boils, bucket deals, and combo meals featured on one page. Starters, oysters, special entrees, soup, and dessert were also on this side. The other page listed the fried baskets, weekday specials, and beverages. Unfortunately, the Gumbo was sold out during my visit which was one item that I really wanted to try. I waffled between the Garlic Noodles with Shrimp and the Shrimp & Grits that were each priced at $16. The latter was my choice with mild spiciness. A shallow dish containing a bed of grits with eight pieces of shrimp was brought to my table in about 10 minutes. A fiery looking sauce (tobasco?) was applied on top of the grits, but it looked a lot meaner than it tasted. If anything, the sauce made this entree quite salty. For the price, quality, and quantity of my food, I gave a three star rating for my meal at Shrimp Heads.
