We ordered a side of rice, bean and cheese burrito and an asada burrito. The asada burrito, the meat flavor was tasty, but not amazing. The "bean and cheese burrito" .... We cut it open and well, where the hell was the beans? It looks like maybe a tablespoon of beans and a quarter cup or cheese. If I wanted just cheese I would have ordered a quesadilla. Mariscos in Oakhurst use to have the best Chile Relleno and enchiladas. Use to be delicious, like homemade with the greatest sauces. Today the Chile Relleno poblano was not cooked enough. It was actually crunchy. I was told that's how they are. The tortilla in the enchilada was not cooked properly. It was just bland chicken stuffed in an unprepared tortilla with canned tasting sauce over it. Unfortunately, workers weren't interested in our opinions. It's sad, this place used to be my " go to" place for Chile Rellenos. My husband and I will not return here again. read more

Decided to try it on our way out of Yosemite. Had the supreme carne asada burrito and it did not disappoint! It's huge! Could be shared if you're not too hungry. The flour tortilla is soft, and it tastes and looks handmade. I'm guessing some of the best Mexican food in this small tourist town Our table ordered nachos, carne asada tacos, a fried fish burrito and a "la Vida" seafood ceviche. The tacos good, the fried fish burritto will hit the spot. The nachos are your standby nachos. The La Vida turned out to be a mixture of fish and squid but in a sweet tomato-based broth. No doubt, the only people reading this review are those traveling up the 41 towards Bass Lake or Yosemite. To get an idea of what Marisco's Colima is, think about that Mexican restaurant back home where the food is quick and cheap, and probably all over town. That in a nutshell, I'd Marisco's Colima. Decent food, decent price. While ordinarily I'd give it a 4 star rating, I have to knock it down 1 because of the menudo, which you can only have on Sunday. We actually made 2 stops here, once for lunch, and again for menudo. It was while we were waiting for our lunch that my wife was dismayed to find menudo was available. It's just not posted. She said it tasted like it had sat all day though. Which, it probably had since it was after 5 when we came back for it. I think it needed lemon for sure, but I didn't have any since I ate it an hour later when we got home. She loved the chile relleno though. I opted for the fish tacos, but probably should have got the shrimp. One major surprise, had to be the french fries that you can have with the kids meal. They were seriously better than some burger joints. But, it's like they say, "location, location, location!" In Fresno, every Marisco's Colima is probably rated no higher than 3 stars. I don't know if I just came on an off day or what, but I got a bunch of tacos with all different kinds of meat and everything is so bland. there's no way salt was used while cooking any of the meat. I tried the cabeza, lengua, adobada, carnitas, and pescado. The cabeza was the best, but even that had to be doctored up. I also got a chile relleno which was probably the worst I've ever had. Same thing, no seasoning. But it also had no cheese inside, the pepper wasn't cleaned and full of seeds, and the batter tasted old. The pico de gallo was flavorless, the tomatoes were hardly even pink they were so underripe. I'm giving it two stars because the girl who took my order was nice and it's clean. Why are there only 10 reviews for this place!? We decided to come here on a whim after hearing the local brewery was a 45 min wait. The food is prepared fresh, no frills and authentic. I told my husband, while we were in Cali, I wanted carnitas that were juicy AND crispy with onion and cilantro on warm mini corn tortillas with lime on the side. This meet all criterias! He has carne asada tacos and enjoyed thoroughly. We might ordered a second round.... Service was awesome, food was great and inexpensive. Over the moon to have stumbled across this gem.
