Picked up my vehicle from the yard and noticed my ladder was not strapped right so I went to change ir only to notice, long story short ,they ran into the bay at their shop, and WERENT GOING TO TELL US. So all damage was our tailgate is bend outv5 inches and won't close, our bumper is ripped off,all our hookup for a trailer were damaged and ripped out, the ladder , which is a must for our job, is screwed and can not be used now, so out or pocket $600 foe a new ladder until an ICBC claim is finished. These jerseys weren't even going ro tell us. The one guy says Oh we had to take your ladder off cause we parked it in a bay..... No, you didn't have to take it off. Cause you parked it into a Bay. You had to remove it cause you ran into the f****** roof of the Bay.! Come one and no one qas gonna say shit if we didn't catch it. Ignorant And I'm told there's no one here to talk to you. You have to wait till Monday to call the manager. Just call ICBC and make a claim. That's it no other help or an apology or anything, just hoping we walked away and didn't see I took a million pics at the shop and again for ICBC so time for them to pay for what they did to my truck! After Mario's towed my vehicle from an accident (the driver was great) I needed to get a few things out of my van. when I called I had to deal with the worst customer service I've ever experienced, how that woman has a job just blows my mind! she claimed they did not have my vehicle and even implied I was dumb and it must have gone somewhere else. Insulted I just hung up and called the rcmp to report my vehicle stolen and knowing it was at Mario's the officer called and verified it was in fact there. thinking that would be the end of the issues was wishful as icbc put in a request for my vehicle 4 weeks ago! Marios has great drivers but outside of them the company is an absolute joke! The lady that answers the phone needs a ton of training and possibly a redo on up bringing. DO NOT use Mario's! go for Brian's towing if you enjoy being treated like a human being. read more

Friday evening I ran into my friends apartment building for 20 minutes, when I came out my car had been towed by Mario's towing. My friend and i immediately went down to the yard that had closed @5 we were there at 5:15, there were dispatchers as well as a lady and no one would help. I had all of my belonging in my car since I only ran in and was not able to even get my bag out of my car. The next day I was at the yard at 9:50am ( they opened at 10) to pick up my car, I was charged for two days and the tow resulting in a $250 bill, for not registering my car, when my car was there for 17 hours and would have been there for less than an hour is someone would have helped. The lady at the front was extremely disrespectful and not helpful in any way. I am a university student, this was not an expense that I was prepared for. There was no signage stating that my car will be towed at my own expense. This whole situation is unfair, has been happening to a lot of people specifically by Marios towing. read more

I was towing a trailer on the highway and blew a trailer tire. KalTire in Hope brought me a new one but that blew too because the axle bent and the tire is wedged against the wheel well. I called Jamie's Towing but he couldn't do it and referred me to Mario's. I thought I was talking to someone in Hope and was told that I had to wait at least 7 days for them to send a tractor with bus hauling trailer from Kelowna and pay return travel from and to Kelowna so I said no. I left my 7' wide on a 14' wide shoulder overnight and returned the next day with tools and a truck to fix and tow it but it was gone with evidence that it had been stolen. The police at first said that it wasn't them but then left me a message 3 hours later after I was returning to Penticton that it had had been located and towed to Mario's in Hope. The same Mario's that told me I had to wait a week for a truck from Kelowna which is apparently where the idiot who told me that on the phone works in their dispatch office and not in Hope. They cost me $830 in a wasted truck rental and tools when I had returned the next day to get it. I wouldn't have left it overnight if I knew I only had to wait overnight, not a week. It wouldn't have been stolen. They refuse any responsibility. They won't tell me who the moron was. I talked to 2 lawyers who say that I have a lawsuit claim but they both have waiting lists. Companies who operate like this should lose their licences and not be surprised when disgruntled customers who have exhausted all other efforts to resolve things diplomatically resort to violence including burning them down. read more

My car was impounded "initially" for 7 days, however, was upgraded on day 6 for a longer time period. Once this time had lapsed, I followed procedures and had my car released by ICBC! Now we get to the impound yard on the day of pick up! Wow!! That's all I have to say and NOT in the "fantastic they did a great job way!" No!! Quite the opposite. Wow, as in, I was shocked that the guy behind the counter, felt he had more "control" over my vehicle than myself, the owner, or ICBC, my insurance company that actually DOES have the authority to say whether my car is released or not! Gary the man releasing my vehicle to me, was rude and highly inappropriate!! Trying to tell me that my car was impounded for an impaired so he has to see my license. Then he proceeds to tell me I am suspended. It is at this point I looked at him and said, "NO! I am NOT! Where the hell are you getting that from?" To which he tells me well I have a 90 day suspension!!!! WOW!!! No!!!! That is NOT why my vehicle was there or upgraded to a 30 day! Regardless his entire approach was highly inappropriate. Not only that I have NEVER in my life had ANY drug or alcohol related incidents. It is NONE of his business why my vehicle was there and when I told him so he tried to tell me and I quote! "Yea, it is my business actually!" NO! His business is following the release papers that ICBC sent in, checking my ID, taking payment and checking my ID. THAT IS ALL!!! He had no business at all asking anyone about the "reason" behind the vehicles stay, nor does he have the right to make assumptions regarding the status of someone's license or ANYTHING else outside of what is REQUIRED! He clearly had some kind of power trip issue and all I can say is I am thankful I had my child's father with me. Stay away from this place if you can and unfortunately I didn't have a choice in this matter lol, but having experienced "tows" from Mario's in the past and now. Not much has changed. Still thinking they have more authority than they actually do (staff seem to think they are entitled to personal information that no one else can legally ask but they think it's ok) and ZERO people skills. On Feb 13 I was driving from Prince George to Vancouver in a commercial truck, I had radiator problems at 100 Mile house and was subsequently stopped from going any further, I called road side assistance and they advised me that the soonest they could get a replacement vehicle was in 24 hours, so I stayed with the vehicle for that length of time and the vehicle was changed out by a lower mainland towing company, unfortunately the replacement vehicle had problems and I was shut down at yale due to coolant leaking, I again called customer support who then contacted Marios towing hope who said that the VERY EARLIEST that they could get someone out was 9am, so I again spent another night in a broken vehicle, I awoke at 7am after a cold nights sleep and after using the rest stop facilities noticed that his rest stop had running water, being cold and hungry and with lots of time before the tow truck came I filled the rad enough to be able to make it to the restaurant 10kms away, while enroute I called the customer support to say that the truck was being moved to the restaurant location and to call the tow truck company, I arrived at the restaurant and it was closed, this would have been at 745am so I decided to continue to the Haig scale as this would be a better spot to be able to tow the truck, At 8:10 I got a call from the tow truck driver to say he was in yale and where was I, I said that being Hungry and cold I was I moved the truck to the restaurant It was closed so I would be at the Haig scale, and meet him there, Upon arrival at the Haig scale the driver started to berate me about wasting his fuel and time, I answered back that he wasted no fuel because his billing was starting from Yale and the only time he wasted was the 30 second phone call ( curious that he had my number and never called me to say he was leaving early) He continued on to say that in his "30 years of towing experience that there are 2 kinds of people 95% normal and the other 5% that make stories up and if I wanted to continue to argue I could catch a cab to where he is taking the truck, With that I said dont touch my truck that I go where that truck goes and if you dont like it EFF off He replied that are you telling me to leave? I said the choice is yours I have already spent two days in a broke down truck one more day wont make a difference to me, In Silence he hooked up the truck then said get in, WE were well into the trip to the shop and I decided to calll the customer support and asked them what time was I told that the tow truck would be there, they replied that according to their notes on a recorded line a person by the name of Norm had said the very soonest I would have a tow was 9am and that he had reiterated this twice, I then asked if they had told the tow company about me moving the truck to the restaurant and the said Yes they had called the company and talked to a Cindy about the truck move. all the time the truck driver could hear this conversations but said nothing, At that point I looked at my cell phone time and said " Oh Look at that *:50 in the morning" The rest of the journey was quiet and upon arrival to the shop I exited the tow truck realizing I had just met the most sorriest pathetic excuse for a person to walk the planet and if I ever breakdown again and the customer support says that Marios towing from Hope is coming I will gnaw off my arm before that happens This company has a communications problem and a choice of competent employee customer driven problem read more

I phoned DelOro towing, now Mario's towing. early the day before I needed my truck towed to the mechanic shop. I had an.8am appointment to bring the truck right into the shop. the tow truck never showed up so I could meet my appointmen. I called and talked to the same woman that I had made the appointment with the previous day, she said she had just got in and hadn't dispatched a driver. the truck showed up at 8:20. the mechanic shop had to fill my appointment time with another vehicle. My truck doesn't run so it will have to be towed into the shop incurring another charge. I would not recommend calling Del Oro towing or Mario's towing if you need reliable service. read more

We were booking long distance transport of a tiny home on wheels. Mario's was recommended by a CVS person in BC. They came up with a competitive price , compared to the other 8 estimates we got. There was a bit of challenge on the booking, communication, and information side, and ultimately they made it all right and completed a great ,safe, responsible tow of a difficult building. Driver Erwin Schepp went above and beyond with great updates, pictures, and helping resolve little problems without asking for extra payment. Car was full of mud from driver inside of car when I went to yard to look at it, no mud was ever around crash site the time. Would not let us take photos of the vehicle in yard even though auto body shop asked for them. they would not budge on "their" policy. Shop in Vernon was like what? Makes sense now as when auto body shop received the tow in of my vehicle, it had NO gas in it, at time of accident it had half a tank. It appears they may or may not have syphoned the gas out of my car during the 6 weeks it sat there waiting for ICBC'S direction. Such garbage doing stuff like this, I was left with less than a km worth of gas to drive with when I got my car back. Didn't even know if I'd make it to gas station! Auto-body provided photos at time of tow in showing no gas was in it, which they found it suspicious as well. People laughed and said don't you know to never use Marios alway use Brians. Apparently the RCMP didn't get that message when they called for a tow truck. Always ask for Brian's I've since been told. read more

Staff onsite was rude and abrupt. Spoke at us rather then to us. Did nothing but add to the misery of having to deal with a theft and damage to our property but treating us as those we were the cause of it. I would NEVER recommend them..poorest customer service. read more

They damaged the bottom end of my splitter when my car was in their possession. When I brought it up with them I was told ICBC is my only recourse. This place stinks, they don't take any responsibility and have a horrible reputation for damaging cars or stealing from them while in their lot (based on many reviews out there). I would also be hard pressed to call it a lot as it looks more like a junk yard. If you're thinking about using this company then think again, go do more research. I'm convinced that if law enforcement didn't feed them impounds on a regular basis they would have been out of business long ago. read more

Call anybody else. Booked a tow at 9:30 am for 11 am. Had to call three times at 11:30, 12:00 and finally again at 12:30 to cancel. They did not care that they were ridiculously late and made nothing but empty excuses. Mario's Towing wasted my day waiting for them. Don't let them treat you like they did me.
