True Authentic Italian Pizza my fav is the Anchovy Pizza with Olives and the light tomato sauce base . It's a must try and Mario's Garlic Pizza it's Incredible so very deliciously yummy. Quite nice pizzas, large seating area inside, plus some outdoor seating as well (but the street is quite busy). Pizzas had nice crispy base, good toppings, however the seafood pizza had seafood extender as one of the ingredients! Use only real seafood please! Also the pizza tray size they show you to give indication of the size of the pizza is much bigger than the pizza itself. I'm not exactly sure why the young chap below me says Mario's has "amazing scenery" - it's right next to a train line and it faces a dilapidated Pavlova shop. It's also on the corner of a narrow road so if you dine al fresco in the evening expect to be blinded by high beams every so often. The pizza's not groundbreaking, a bit dry but pleasant enough. Service is a little aloof but efficient. Mario's real strength is in it's yummy desserts - gelato, sweet calzone and Nutella pizza. Mmmmm, delicious. read more

The staff are very friendly but the food is very below par for what you can get in the inner west - comparing Italian meals specifically. We had a pasta and a risotto - which isn't cooked rice and stock water. Pasta didn't taste fresh and the sauce was not something to get excited about. Good food, reasonable price, service ok but when it came time to pay they only take cash. However there is an ATM in the restaurant but that will cost you an extra $2.50! Not impressed! There are better places to eat where you can pay in whatever way you like. read more

Celebrated my sister's birthday here with family. There was approx. 30 people altogether. We managed to fit in three separate rows all close to each other. The food was pretty good, a set menu with calamari fritti, prawns, pastas and pizzas plus to top it all off gelato and coffee. My personal favourites are the marinara pasta and the King prawn pesto pizza. It is great that the set menus include coffee because most places do not do this and you have to figure out who ordered what and pay separately for it. The place was pretty steady for a Tuesday night and not that busy. We managed to have the back room for ourselves which was pretty intimate when we sang Happy Birthday! read more

Terrible service. Loud train if outside seating. My wife and I went for dinner on a Saturday without booking. They sat us on table 9 outside next to a very loud train track and waited for 10 minutes until we decided to get up and leave because no one offered us the menu or ask us for the order. I advised the owner of the poor service and went to la margarita which were very warm and great service. read more

This used to be such a great place for pizza but it seems so average now. Took some overseas friends there the other night and the service was lacklustre. Plonked us at a table near the door then moved us to another. The table was sticky and wobbly. Ambience? No. Lights way up and staff hardly bothered, no smile. Tap water tasted like rusty pipe. Food was average. Cream on son's ice choc was on verge of going off. Pizza bread was dry old pizza with garlic thrown on. Pizzas werent as good as they used to be, Food came out bit by bit. What's with all the crazy rules?? Large groups can only order from set menus. Your not allowed to take doggy bags (uneaten food gets thrown out). You can't order a kids meal if your not a child. You can't use a keycard or credit card (but they have a ATM stuck In the middle of the small restaurant). No parking, the food and service was B grade. I highly recommend not to go!! read more
