This was a marked contrast from other offices that dismissed my concerns. They have great hygienists who do a thorough job. The dentists are personable and really good at what they do! When I've had to get cavities worked on they make me really comfortable (podcasts & a blanket!) and they're excellent at delivering Novocain so that you barely feel the needle. I'm a wimp, so this is important. They always do cancer screenings and keep my best interest at heart. I appreciate having such a great dentist!

Exceptionally friendly and professional staff that provides service you would expect at a 5 star hotel! The staff is genuinely kind and always tries to accommodate your needs to the best of their ability. Although they DO NOT ACCEPT INSURANCE they will submit all necessary paperwork to your dental insurance so you can receive (some) reimbursement as long as you provide them with your insurance information. The restaurant next door, CinderBar, can get crowded at night (when iSmile is closed) and has limited parking. Yes, I saw the 'towing' sign in the iSmile lot, but didn't think they'd really tow @ 9:00 pm on a Saturday night when the dental office was dark. But, yes...they did tow my car. I understand restricting your lot to your staff & patients during your open hours, but towing when you're closed? That's just not friendly or neighborly at all. I'll look elsewhere for my cleanings and certainly will be sharing my story.

Dr. Gaughan never does any unnecessary dental work and is extremely thorough. There is no dental hygienist at this office, which I also love, as Dr. Gaughan is the only person who ever touches your teeth. I have Celiac Disease, and am extremely limited with what I can ingest, dental products included (gluten hides in everything)! Dr. Gaughan took the time to research all of the products he uses, and he even blends me a special gluten free polish to polish my teeth. I am so happy that Dr. Gaughan is my dentist. I cannot say enough good things about the quality of care I experience at this office. He truly is the best.

The first time I came here as a new patient, I noticed my tooth was discolored. I mentioned this to the dental hygentist taking care of me, and he said he didn't see anything, and pulled another dental hygentist in the room to look at my tooth. He said to me "That discoloration is the color of your tooth", as the other dental hygienist laughed at me. Another time I went, I asked the woman at the check out desk which pain medication to take after I had my root canal done. She said to me condescendingly, "You won't have any pain because the nerve is gone". She's right that I may not have nerve pain anymore, but I would have inflammation to the surrounding tissues due to the nerve being extracted. There was no need for her attitude. I went there for a routine cleaning recently, and at the end, the dental hygienist said to me "Has it been a while since your last cleaning? Because it looks like it's been... you know..." and gives me a look, insinuating that I had a lot of plaque in my teeth, and that it has been a long time since I had my them cleaned. If you have ever worked in healthcare, you're taught to keep your judgments to yourself and to care for the patient. Another time I went into their office, the endodontist assessed my tooth and determined it would be appropriate to do a second root canal. They had to move me to another room for the procedure, and when I walked in, I saw a bib on the chair. I told one of the employees that a patient left their bib on the chair. The girl took the bib, left the room, and said "They said that was there for you", and I told her "No, I already have one". I had doubts the room was properly clean. After the 2nd part of my root canal was finished, and after the numbing medicine wore off, I have no idea what the dentist did to me, but I had a fat lip that lasted for days. I don't know how common this is, but I've never had this happen to me before. Last, I had a crown placed one week ago, and it fell out last night. I called this morning to come in and be seen, and they refused to see me because they had no cancellations. I wanted to be taken today because it may not be possible to come in for the remainder of the week, due to childcare, work, and various appointments. The woman on the phone said "Then I will tell Michele next week then". They are refusing to see me over a crown they put in one week ago because they have no cancellations. As a patient, all of this behavior is egregious and unacceptable. I should not have tolerated all that I did, and should have seen another dentist sooner. The only positive thing I will say, is that Dr. Singh, the endodontist, was exceptional. I felt little to no pain, he was personable, kind, and soothing. I would recommend anyone to go to him if you need a root canal done. I don't expect this office to take this review seriously, and I have no doubts the people in this office will make fun of this review. But I'm putting this out there to warn other patients of how unprofessional this office runs.

She was very calm, thorough, and professional when explaining my procedure and what to expect. She left a lot of room open for questions during my consult, before and after my appointment. During my procedure, Dr. Gilberg and her hygienist that was assisting, made it as worry-free as possible. I was able to wear headphones and they even tapped on my shoulder during the numbing process to distract me-which I thought was a unique and thoughtful gesture. Dr. Gilberg also makes herself available for any questions or concerns post-procedure. The office itself was also fantastic. All of the staff-the hygienists and desk staff were all friendly and welcoming.

I do have a regular dentist for cleanings & checkups, but SJ Periodontics is where I go when I have gum or implants issues. Not a fun time... but it's better than a bad procedure!

I've been going to Dr Wong since I was a kid and lived in the Marlton area, but after a recent tooth emergency struck in center city Philadelphia -- I'm more appreciative/ devoted/ amazed by Dr. Wong than ever before. Out of the blue one night in the summer, there was an intense pain in my mouth that woke me up from sleep. Since it came from nowhere, I tried to live with it for a day or two to see if it would as mysteriously go away. The pain was terrible -- couldn't think, couldn't sleep, couldn't be helped with OTC painkillers. It got to the point that I literally just wanted all suspect teeth to be ripped out of my mouth. Even though Dr. Wong has been my life-long dentist, out of desperation I went to a very reputable, Philadelphia-based dentist. While there, they examined my teeth, did X-rays, and told me the problem was from grinding my teeth at night. The solution? Take Tylenol, and come back for a night-guard. This didn't feel like a plausible explanation, and the pain was only getting worse. This was not the time to try someone new -- this was the time to go to my tried-and-true expert. Dr. Wong was able to squeeze me in as an emergency, and when he looked at my X-rays, there was a tiny shadow that was missed by the other office -- but thanks to Dr. Wong's incredible experience and knowledge, he was able to figure out that what I really needed was a root canal! It was not a fun experience, but I was so thankful for an accurate diagnosis, and the immediate pain relief it brought! Dr. Wong is everything you'd want your dentist to be; gentle, kind, thorough, and EXTREMELY knowledgeable about everything tooth related. (His staff is wonderful too. :) ) After my last foray, I will never stray again: Pavilion Dental for life!
