Dr. Prousi is top-notch!…read more My husband is one of those people who seems to always have a tooth that's bothering him. He never complains, so when he does, you know it's bad. He's visited Dr. Prousi several times for tooth extractions, grafts, and dental implants. He fully explains the process and ensures all questions are answered ahead of time. He is highly skilled, super gentle, and ensures the post-op plan is clear. An added bonus is having the option of I.V. sedation which is huge for folks who cannot handle the sound of dental drills, etc (my husband is this person)! Dr. Prousi is always upbeat, conversational, and in a good mood. What a breath of fresh air! His staff is excellent also. Upfront pricing and smooth appointment scheduling. They have a comfortable waiting area for your loved ones (I should know...I've been there enough)! Ample parking and spotless office. If you're seeking an oral surgeon, this is the place for you. Well worth the drive if you're not local!

I would highly recommend Dr. Prousi and his team to anyone looking for excellent oral surgery care.

I have always had problems with my teeth and have partial dentures, adding teeth consistently throughout those 20 years. Along the way I had some trouble with illness and the pandemic interfering with progress. When I finally had to get a full denture, I thought I was in good hands. When I had them delivered it was at an oral surgeons office, it was then I noticed the new full dentures were yellow. I could not understand why because I always had dentures and always had white. But they are yellow. When I called the office, they gave me a hard time, they had a very poor attitude like oh well too bad. The office manager Dana did not want to fix them, she complained about writing something off before, which I do not understand because I have always had insurance, and good insurance. They finally agreed to fix them, I dropped them off and they said it would be much longer than they previously said. I had to get them back because of a family event and needed teeth. Unfortunately this only made her angrier and the one lady legit yelled at me on the phone. I was so afraid because they said they wrote off charges (which I have never heard and don't understand) that I feared they would charge me to get them back and I cannot afford to be at the whim of an office manager that does not care about people. No one could ever explain why they made them yellow, but I (and insurance) spent $1700 for a top and $1700 for a bottom and the bottom does not fit and the top is yellow. My mind wonders if it was intentional just to hurt me because of something the office manager was mad about. It is devastating, I can't even smile and don't trust them to fix it. She was horrible to me and you cannot trust them, they are mean and spiteful. It is ludicrous to believe that anyone would want their denture color changed from white to yellow. Don't go there.

RUN AWAY DO NOT APPLY TO WORK HERE…read more I recently attended an interview where, unfortunately, the experience felt very unprofessional. During the interview, the doctor did not make eye contact and was on her phone while I was explaining my background and experience. I was then asked to do a working interview, and I was upfront about not being familiar with the specific software they use. There was no guidance, explanation, or willingness to teach, which made the situation feel more like a waste of time than a fair assessment of my skills. Overall, the experience left me feeling dismissed and undervalued as a candidate.

She's very knowledgeable, asked questions, and recommended different things to try to keep my gums in good health. Her office staff is extremely nice too. I spoke to Natasha on the phone and then met her today. She's very sweet. The young woman who did my x-rays was great too--nice and friendly and was fast so I didn't have to sit long with the plastic things in my mouth. This all made such a difference in my dental experience, which I always dread. The office is cheerful and decorated for the holidays. The parking was right next to the office in a private lot. The office itself is conveniently located right off Route 130 so it's easy to get to. I highly recommend Dr. Maia if you're looking for a dentist. I was so pleasantly surprised!

Disappointing Experience - We Will Not Be Returning…read more I'm writing to let you know that I will not be returning, and neither will my daughter. For me, customer service is everything. The poor experience started on our first visit. While I was in the bathroom, my daughter was taken to the back. When I came out, I wanted to check on her, so I asked a staff member walking by (unfortunately, I didn't get her name). Her response was rude and dismissive--asking if my daughter was over 18. I told her, "I don't care if my daughter is 28 or 38, I'm still going to make sure she's okay." Her attitude was completely uncalled for. Fast forward to my own appointment and who ends up helping me? The same woman. While she was polite this time, her body language made me feel unwelcome. That sets the tone for any experience. Then, during my X-rays, I noticed she pulled gloves out of her shirt pocket. That is not sanitary. She put them on and started touching the computer. I asked her to change her gloves before handling any sterile items. She said she would, but also explained she has to keep touching the mouse between shots. Her solution? She put a glove over the mouse. Honestly, that didn't reassure me. Thankfully, the cleaning went smoothly. Dominic was great, friendly, professional, and made me feel at ease. But then I was brought to the front desk. There were five employees up there, and I stood waiting while two patients were helped. After they left, I was still standing there... being ignored. When I mentioned I had to leave to pick up my daughter, I was told someone was "working on my file." But my chart was visibly sitting there untouched. I said to call me later. When I missed the call and phoned back, I was placed on hold and no one picked up. This kind of service is unacceptable. I refuse to go to a place where the staff act like they don't want to be there, especially when they're supposed to be caring for me as a patient. Because of this, we will not be returning.

We called Jersey Dental from the hosp. to make an appointment. I believe they put a female Dentist or whomever on the phone asking me which tooth. (Can she not read an x-ray?) I told her 2x it was as they had taken xrays of in the office a few of days prior which they noted. However, she responded in such as nasty, condenscending tone. I figured she's not the one for me. No way. Anyway, I went on to make the appt. from the ER, but later on I thought about it and simply canceled the appt. because of her attitude. Like who does she THINK she really is?
