I was extremely nervous about going to the dentist due to Covid. But, I must say the cleanliness and guidelines put in place in the office put me at ease immediately. They use an advanced infiltration system, use an antiseptic for your mouth, give you goggles and are extremely careful limiting who you are in contact with. They even designed a walk in one direction for entering and exiting throughout the office with limited people in the waiting area. Linda, the hygienist is thorough and knowledgeable and Dr Dave is just amazing. Put you trust in this office. read more

Very knowledgeable. Familiar with my complex dental and medical issues. Very patient oriented.

The doctor and staff and here are outstanding!!! I had an emergency and they went above and beyond in assisting me. I can't say enough good things about this practice! read more

I went to this dentist for a cracked tooth. They got me in fairly quickly, the customer service was good and friendly. The Dentist repaired the cracked tooth by drilling and refilling 2 teeth (Approx $800) . I was told this was only temporary and that I would need a crown and they gave me the estimated cost. Because of the high cost I decided to get a second opinion, when examined I was then told that my temporary filling was actually a permanent filling. And if I needed a crown then doing a perm filling was unnecessary. I was grateful that this Dentist was able to help me but I am also glad I went with my gut for a 2nd opinion. I would not go back to this dentist. read more

A while back a coworker was looking for a new dentist, and when I said, "Oh, I have someone for you, I LOVE my dentist," her reply was "who loves their dentist?" Well, I may not love going to the dentist, but since I must, I can't think of a better group of doctors. The practice is a father (Harry) and his two sons (Mike and Dave). My husband has been going here since before we met, and he finally converted me over to this practice a few years ago. Every single person who works in the office is friendly. I normally only see Dr. Dave, who is nice, professional, and takes the time to explain to me what is going on and what things mean. Their facilities are state-of-the-art and they make you as comfortable as possible while having potentially unpleasant work done. TVs at every dental chair, and I've even sat and listened to my ipod while having work done. I can't say enough about how great this practice is. It's so great that when our dental insurance changed and didn't cover this particular dentist, we just forwent the insurance and pay out of pocket so as not to have to switch dentists. I 100% recommend this dental practice to anyone. read more

I recently switched to Monokian Dental and I couldn't have imagined there was such a difference in dentists. Well now I can assure you there is and this is the best dentist I have been to by far with no one even coming close. My first visit started with an extremely thorough exam and explanation by Dr. Mike. Not only did it make so much sense but I'm not sure I even understand how other dentists can treat patients without this information. After this I was on to the cleaning where Carol gave me more information and tips followed by the most gentle and thorough cleaning of my life. The office was super clean with extra COVID protocols. The staff was thoroughly professional. I am excited to find this amazing dentist and highly recommend them!! read more

Monokian is the best! Not only are they excellent and thorough dentists, but the entire staff is amazing. From the moment you walk in, they treat you with the best customer service. They greet you by name, they know your history, they treat you with the utmost respect and kindness. I am a high-fear patient, but I feel much better each time I visit Monokian. Suzanne is my hygienist, and it is always such a pleasure to get my teeth cleaned. That is not a feeling I have ever been familiar with in my life :) read more

I really like the friendly staff. Dr pappy as I call her, she was great and very compassionate. She checked on me throughout my procedure. I had no problems after the surgery. read more

Ok is it is possible to love going to the dentist......well I am here to tell you that it may not be love.....but this is pretty dang close! I have been going to Dr. Mike for about a year and this is the best dentist office I have ever been to. I have had everything from fillings, checkups, and now I am doing invisalign with them. I moved to Philly and still come back! Dr. Mike is really nice and all of the ladies who work there are so nice and fun to talk to! They do cool stuff like neck wraps and they have t.v.'s which is a nice distraction as well! The office is nice and clean as well. I definitely recommend him and his office if you need any dental work done! read more

One of the reviews stated they go here in spite of their insurance coverage - that's either ridiculously stupid or completely untrue. They were such crooks to me about my treatment and my children's. My son had 2 or more cavities every visit for 2 years(every 6 months). When I finally got the nerve to ask if there was anything else that could be done - like a lesson from the dentist or hygienist about how to better brush your teeth the cavities magically stopped. My daughter of just 21 years was coerced into agreeing to a root canal and then a cap. She called me at work and asked me to call the dentist to ask to get just a filling instead. 1. 21 is usually too young for a root canal-for someone very particular about their teeth. 2. A patient should not feel so pressured or intimidated to not be able to call their dentist or any health care person to discuss their treatment and feel afraid to call them. She got the filling only and has been just fine since. I asked repeatedly to have my children's molars sealed to prevent cavities and was told they couldn't be sealed because they weren't "fully erupted". Then I was told there was a cavity. I asked how can a cavity be on a tooth that's not fully in and how do you fill a cavity under the gum? They told me they would lift the gum back to fill the cavity. My question was then if you can lift the gum to fill the cavity then why can't you lift the gum to seal the tooth so you don't get a cavity in the first place and why aren't we being more proactive. That was the last straw and got a new dentist. To this day that has been that child's only "cavity". And we got the other molars sealed elsewhere. We go to get cleanings and I'm told one of my children has a cavity. So we make an appoint for a few days later. We go back to that appointment and the clerk tells me there is a balance due -not realizing the insurance hasn't come through yet to cover the cleanings and having very good and comprehensive insurance- I trusting them paid the "balance due". Having the cavity filled and then all these "extraneous fees" the credit of hundreds of dollars was used up and no refund or credit on the account. Then later the insurance paid the balance minus my copay. Pretty slick- read more

I'm really surprised there aren't more reviews on Monokian. I have been going to them for a few years now. They have a beautiful state of the art office. The staff is always so friendly and helpful for anything I have needed. Andrea is my hygienist. She is incredibly sweet, funny and genuinely cares about you as a person and your dental health. We have great chats! Dr. Mike has been my dentist for most of the work I have had done. He is very warm, personable and very good at what he does. It is in a great location in the Marlton area if you live or work there and they are very accommodating with appointments and schedule changes. read more

I had no procedure today but I met with Dr Dave. I have a dental problem and he explained options. Of the options he gave he recommended one over the others that he thought would put an end to my discomfort. I agreed and appointments was scheduled. read more

As always staff and office are excellent . Every detail to being safe in a public environment has been met, I thank you all.

I have finally found a dentist whom I like and trust. My dentist for many years was in Monmouth County, but when I moved to Philadelphia, it was no longer possible for me to travel there for dental care. I saw a few dentists in Philly, but never really liked any of them. So, I did some research and read all the great reviews about Monokian Family Dentistry. I gave them a try, and was not disappointed. The front desk staff is friendly and efficient, giving every patient a nice welcome when they enter. The entire office is spotlessly clean, and the treatment areas are hi-tech and modern. I was assigned Dr Mike Monokian for my first visit, and he did a very thorough exam and showed me my teeth on a monitor, and went over his findings with me in great detail. He explained everything. This is something I never had before. Very nice guy, and very friendly. He chats a lot with you and personalizes your visit. My hygienist is Suzanne, and she is awesome. Like everyone else in the office, she is very friendly and easygoing, and put me at ease. She was very thorough, and explained everything as she went along. Like Dr Mike, she chats a lot during the visit, and tries to get to know you on a personal level. And most importantly, she is gentle. I've been to some hygienists who were very rough, and every time I had my teeth cleaned, I felt like I had my teeth and gums run through a cheese grater. Not Suzanne. She was fantastic. I have great teeth, and am confident the Monokian practice will take great care of my teeth for years to come. I am not someone who is a fan of going to dentists, but everyone at this practice makes it a lot easier. I have finally found a dentist I want to stick with. As I mentioned, I live in Philly, a city with thousands of dentists, and I cross the border to go to NJ for dental care. That should tell you something. Thank you, Monokian Dental! read more

Dr. Mike is amazing!!!! I came to him with horrible TMJ and 2 bad fillings caused by a previous dentist. Dr. Mike is kind, gentle, intelligent and truly cares about his patients. The entire staff is awesome: sweet and helpful front desk, no pressure finance department, the hygienists are highly skilled and thorough and make sure the doctors know exactly what your current dental status is! My 2 bad fillings were removed and replaced with NO PAIN AT ALL, even I was stunned(and I have sensitive teeth)!!!! The office is clean, warm, stylish and comfortable. Monokian Dental is on the cutting edge of their field and dentistry is in their blood and it shows!!!!! I love them and I love my dentist!!!! 1,000 Gold Stars!!!! read more

I wasnt sure if it was the novocane or just the hot assistant but I was drooling all over myself! I would recommend Dr. Mike. He is down to earth and cool to chat with. The only thing that deters me from going is that they are not in-network for me =( Nice friendly staff... attractive assistants. read more

Was a patient for several years. At each visit I had a cavity or a cracked tooth. I couldn't understand why my teeth were in such bad shape. My previous dentist found very few problems. My teeth stopped fitting together properly, my bite is misaligned and I have constant jaw pain. I moved to a different dentist and other than the jaw pain, I have had no cavities in 3 years - same as before I went to these hacks. I wouldn't go to this practice if my teeth were falling out. My daughter had the same problem - no cavities for 23 years. 4 years at this place and 6 cavities. Moved to a new dentist who said her teeth are fine. The only thing these guys know is how to make money off unsuspecting people. Only reason they get a star is because I have to. read more

I would give this place 5 stars if they didn't price gauge me. They are not the only game in town and there are plenty of other dental offices in the area who are more than capable of doing the same work. If you don't have delta dental insurance, expect to pay way more than necessary. Out of network means overcharge the patient! After years of coming there and changing insurance, they won't even work with me. And it's not because of the "laws that they have to charge the difference." I've spoken to other trusted medical professionals who have advised otherwise. Such a joke. read more

First and foremost the Dentist are the best in the area. The staff and hygienist are friendly, pleasant and always willing to help. I recommend anyone looking for exceptional service to Monokian's office. read more

I don't understand how this place has such great reviews. This practice is like going to a car dealer and asking them if you need a new car. They'll smile and try to sell you a car even if you don't need one! Yes, the staff is nice. Yes, the doctor is nice. BUT when you go there be prepared to be told that you need a lot of work done even when you don't need anything done at all! I was with my previous dentist for many years and all my teeth were fine. Literally every singe time I went for a cleaning, I was told everything was fine. Then my insurance changed and I needed to find a new place. I selected this practice because of the positive reviews, so I scheduled a routine cleaning. Be warned you can't just go in for a cleaning. No, you first have to come in for an exam with the doctor. Then you need to come back for a cleaning on a different day. Who has that kind of time?! Well the exam with the doctor took forever. He took photos of each tooth and then tried to convince me that every singe filling needs to come out and be replaced! Come on...either these guys are sharks of my previous dentist was blind! Now they won't stop calling me to get me to schedule all the unnecessary work. So to summarize: the experience is just like going to a car dealer. read more

If you are looking for a caring, compassionate dentist, I would NOT recommend Dave Monokian. The staff & hygienist are extremely friendly. I don't want an assistant who smokes and covers it up with cheap lotion. I had to sit there smelling the nicotine while her hand was in my mouth. GROSS! Dave does NOT take responsibility for the quality of his work. He has the attitude that he never makes a mistake. It's all about the $$$! Save yourself the aggravation and consider going to another dentist. Now, I have to find a dentist who will correct my crooked tooth. read more

I've completely lost the trust needed for my dentist when vulnerably sitting in his chair with my mouth wide open. Regular cleaning and check-up appointments ever since I have been coming (4 years) to the Monokian Dental Practice always seems to lead to more discovered cavities, needed crowns, root canals and further "work". I never felt the suspicion of a dentist looking to sell more services every time they look into my mouth, from my previous dentist. I was diagnosed with another cavity, which they stated required immediate work, over a year ago. Though I have felt no pain nor symptoms ever since that last visit, they are systematically from repeated phone calls and going through my dental insurance for pre-approvals, trying to get me back in to fill the tooth. Frankly I'm scared to go back in again, even for a cleaning, for what they will "find" next. I think I get the business model... read more

I've been seeing Linda since I was a kid- will not go to anyone but her! She is gentle, thorough and pleasant! Thank you, Linda!

The nicest, friendliest staff put my dental anxieties at ease. From the front desk to the technicians to the dentist I was treated kindly and with respect. My appointment was more complex than a routine visit so, everything was explained to my understanding and as each step was taken I was made fully aware of what was happening. I can't express enough how appreciative I am for their professionalism, expertise and understanding. read more

Monokian Dentistry is an excellent dental practice! The Drs. Harry, Mike, and Dave are superb, but Dr. Dave is exceptional. His need for perfection, his talent, and his care for his patients is what keeps me driving 8 hours round trip for a visit. I go there for both routine dental and cosmetics when needed. Dr. Dave is a magician when it comes to cosmetic dentistry! I would stack him against the best in LA(considering what my wife makes me watch on BravoTV). That's not all...the dental assistants and front desk staff are the best! They make your visit more comforting and easy than visiting Disney World! A+ practice all around read more
