I wish I had read the reviews before contacting this dealership. I was searching for a 2026 Yamaha 222SE, and after finding that Marineland Boating Center, WACO had a 2025 model listed at a very attractive price, I reached out to discuss a trade-in for my pristine 2020 Yamaha 195S SVHO (only 54hrs on the engine). Unfortunately, the experience quickly devolved into a bait-and-switch sales tactic. After providing a low-ball offer on my trade-in, they hit me with a series of aggressive mark-ups that brought the final price higher than a brand-new 2026 model at a different dealership. Most notably, they attempted to charge an additional $700 for items like batteries, a fire extinguisher, and a spare tire--essentials that should be standard on any new boat sale (see attached screenshot). It is absurd to pay thousands in "undisclosed fees" for a previous year's model, and I was especially shocked by the $200 "lake test" fee. Imagine being asked to pay for a test drive at a car dealership! I am incredibly relieved that I rejected this FARCE / SHAM offer and avoided making the two-hour drive to Marineland Waco. I just purchased my second little fishing pontoon from Marineland Boating Center. I ordered this boat from the manufacturer and it took several months to arrive but when it arrived there were several minor items that needed correction. These were resolved to my satisfaction with the great help of their Sales Manager, Steve. He worked with me and was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. All personnel encountered were very friendly and easy to work with. I highly recommend this boat dealer to anyone looking to have a good time on the water. read more

Buyers beware!!! Make sure you complete a very thorough inspection of your boat before you leave as they do not inspect the boat nor are they able to put it together correctly with the appropriate parts. Also be prepared to have to clean the boat yourself as you will receive it dirty. If you have any concerns or issues as it was not put together correctly, do not anticipate any responsiveness on their end and prepare yourself for no one answering phones or returning calls. And if you write negative reviews, they will be even more of a challenge to work with vs being accountable and doing what is right for the customer. Would not recommend this dealership read more

Bought our boat here, so we took it back to have speakers installed on the boat rack. There is wires coming out of the boat with zip ties! Looks HORRiBLE. It cost me $1100 to have wires wrapped in zip ties hanging from my brand new boat. I am so upset! read more

Called a day ahead to check availability for something they had listed for sale and was told it was available, drove almost 2 hours the next morning to find out they actually didn't have it. The couple people I talked to were polite but after wasting 4 hours of my day and an entire tank of fuel, I won't be going back or recommending them to anyone. read more

We worked with Allan and Jerri at Marineland of Waco for the purchase of our 2020 Yamaha 195S Jetboat. Could not have asked for a more pleasant experience. Both were very courteous and responsive to questions. We did find some minor damage to a couple of the rear Seadek mats on delivery that Allan had already noted and photographed. Saleswoman spent a week working on a trade. Drove 3 hours to complete. Her boss backed out and told my wife to leave. Worst experience ever.

Bought a boat from here, sales part was great fast and easy as I live almost 3 hours away, upon picking up my boat I decided to buy a cover for it ($800) asked if it would fit and was told that it should. Got all the way back home and tried to fit the cover on it and of course it did not fit. Sent several emails trying to remedy the situation, I wanted to see if I could fedex it back and they could send me back the correct cover when it came in. Received an email back days later saying that they would get with the woman who worked in the parts dept. I waited a week with no response and sent yet again another email. Waited another 5 days and decided to make the long drive back to return it. Got to the business and they agreed on the return but stated that they had ordered the correct cover and it was set to come in that day if I wanted to wait around for fedex to deliver it to them. I told them that none of this info was communicated to me and I just wanted my money back. They ran my card for the return and I noticed that it's $23 less than what I paid, guy running the register gets the manager to come speak to me. They don't refund the 3% fee that they get charged for running debit cards, even though they sold me the incorrect cover and I have to waste my entire day driving down there. Said screw it and told him to keep the money, I would not be spending any more money with them. Terrible service for a customer who just spent over $50,000 buying a boat from your business. Would not recommend them to anyone. read more

I purchased a Yamaha boat from Marineland Boating Center in Waco Texas, and subsequently brought it back to them for the first service at 10 hours. The purchase process was very efficient, and it was a real pleasure dealing with "Captain Jack". Marineland has competitive pricing on the boats that they sell as well as on their accessories and service. Unfortunately, the service that I received was substandard. 1. When the oil was changed, they did not follow Yamaha protocol because they did not warm up the engines before extracting the oil. I know this because they were not in possession of the boat keys when they changed the oil. One of my engines had the correct amount of oil in it, 3.8 qts, and the other engine had too much oil in it, 5 qts. 2. One of the cup holders on the rear swim deck of the boat was not draining, and to correct this, the technician stuck something down the drain hole to unplug it. I questioned why the water was not draining out of the through-hull drain fitting (where it should have), and I was brushed off. It turns out that when the technician "unplugged" the drain line, he actually disconnected it which caused the water to drain into the bilge instead of onto the swim platform. This is a problem because the cup holder in question constantly gets filled with water due to its location on the swim platform. Long story short, the problem was misdiagnosed and their "fix" made it worse. After being brushed off by the service advisor, I took the cup holder assembly apart and found that the root cause was a pinched drain line. I fixed it myself. 3. I reported to the service advisor that my boat leaked such that the bilge pump would run while the boat was in the water. I was told "they all leak". My service invoice says that they tested my boat in their water tank and that no leaks were found. They did not test my boat in their water tank. They don't have a water tank that holds a 24 foot boat. I later took my boat to another Yamaha dealer who properly diagnosed that my boat had some major leaking thru-hull fittings. 4. Their technician cross-threaded one of the engine cover bolts when he was changing the spark plugs. I had to fix this myself by using a tap to restore the threads. Not only would I not trust Marineland to service my boat, but I will never do business with them again. I understand that mistakes can be made, but it's important that they are corrected. For example, they sold me the wrong anchor and wrong mooring cover, but they corrected that. They also sold me a flare/signaling kit. The kit retails for $100-$150 depending where you buy it from. On the day that I received the flare kit, the flares had already been expired for two years. It was their mistake. When I told Marineland that they sold me a flare kit that was expired, they did nothing to correct this. I even suggested that they did not need to give me a whole new kit, just recognize their mistake and do something to make it right, but they did nothing. This is very disappointing, especially considering that their mistake is safety related, and could have resulted in a coast guard fine. read more
