Outstanding service! My Yamaha engine was stuck down in the water, and despite being extremely…read morebusy, he came out to my boat after 8 PM to help. He quickly diagnosed the problem, got the engine raised, and even assisted me in ordering the necessary parts. He's a one-man operation, so response times can vary, but what he lacks in size he makes up for in honesty, knowledge, and dedication to his customers. It's hard to find someone this trustworthy in the marine repair business. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for reliable and honest boat repair service.

I recommend Ricardo to work on anything on one's boat as his knowledge of boats, engines,…read moreelectrical and plumbing systems is vast! I am not aware of anything he can't repair. Ricardo is an unassuming, modest but highly intelligent person who quietly listens to one's issues with the boat, engine or systems and then just goes to work confirming what one intuits he already knows is the problem and how to fix it? I wish I had called him to work on my boat sooner as instead, I called some else (I previously posted a review about that "mechanic"), who not only clearly is not as astute when it comes to outboard engines but boats' systems and unlike Ricardo, charges abusively for his sloppy services. Ricardo shows up on time but if he expects to be detained by some other job, has the courtesy to call the customer to alert him/her he's delayed. Unlike the other guy, he does not dress with a monogram uniform as he allows his work speak for him, not a uniform. I have owned sail and motor boats from 23' to 46' for 50 years (yes, I am 75 years old as the other guy for some reason, saw fit to point out in response to my review) and have taken multiple boating courses, inclusive of outboard engine repair. Over the years I have used the services of multiple boat yards, electricians and mechanics. Ricardo stands out way above any one else who has worked on my boats! I enthusiastically recommend him to boating friends and family without reservation!

Tonny did a quick preliminary check and advised he could not tell me what the issue was without taking the motor apart. It could be as simple as a loose connection or as expensive as replacing the board. A couple of days later, I received a call from Tonny. He advised the issue was caused by a loose connection and my motor was ready. He replaced a few cosmetic parts and charged me for one hour labor. I was amazed by Tonny 's honesty and professionalism. Elite Marine Service also specializes in Yamaha and Mercury outboard motors service and repairs. If you are looking for good service and honesty, this is the place. I highly recommended them.

Avoid Voodoo Marine at all costs! My experience with Angel, the owner, was a complete nightmare…read more After dropping off my boat for service, I was promised updates on costs, but communication quickly fell off. I went two weeks without any word, and when I finally heard from him four weeks later, it was an excuse about back surgery, something which he could of let me know in advanced but instead choose to ghost me. By week six, the bill was an outrageous $5,500 with no prior estimate. I paid it, hoping the repairs were done, but upon testing the boat, the motors wouldn't start. After bringing it back, I faced overheating issues and was promised a follow-up trip to ensure everything was fixed. Despite this, Angel had the audacity to send me another invoice for accompanying me to the marina. After I had gone 3x to test the boat after his "service". The prices he charged were ridiculous, and every other shop I've consulted agrees. This was my first boat, and unfortunately, I learned the hard way. I hope my experience saves someone else from making the same mistake.
