Chorizo con huevo and Jamon con huevo hand made tortillas

Scrambled eggs a la mexicana

Great Hot Cakes (ate them so fast I forgot to take a pic) If you like spicy but not the lingering heat, the scrambled eggs a la mexicana were fantastic! They serve tortillas on the side. It was also SUPER CLEAN and sterile! Very Covid safe!

Look for this sign as it's a small hidden place!

I was looking for a nice traditional breakfast that was close by my hotel and preferably near the water. I found this place on good ol Yelp and figured I'd give it a go! It's pretty hidden so be sure to look for the Marina Sunrise sign ( see in my pictures). You walk upstairs and through a Starbucks pop up store/convenience store and then back down to the patio. Very small area but all tables have a gorgeous view of the water and if you get there at opening time (8am) like I did, you get to see the guys getting the rental boats ready for a fun day out on the water. This place is sooo inexpensive and really tasty! If you're looking for a break from the overpriced hotel breakfasts, this is your place. For 90 pesos ( roughly $4 USD) you get your choice of eggs, meat, OJ, coffee. That's a serious bargain. I mixed it up and got scrambled eggs with chorizo and got Grapefruit instead of OJ and opted out of coffee since it was already so hot outside. They also provide delicious tortillas. Totally worth every penny and more! Back home a basic breakfast like this would have run me close to $17, so it was nice to get a break for breakfast not costing you as much as other meals. Worth coming by and enjoying a peaceful traditional breakfast.

Eggs a la mexicana

Came here for breakfast while on vacation in Cancun. If you are from SF or NY and are used to brunch ending at 3 PM, you will only be able to get lunch if you come for breakfast after noon. Breakfast came with orange juice, and I ordered eggs a la mexicana, which tasted like huevos rancheros. It was fairly bland. It wasn't bad, it was just not very flavorful. The food didn't blow me away, though the view was fantastic and the prices were low.

Egg with ham and bacon (Mexican style)

Excellent spot hidden behind the crab house. We couldn't pick a better place. The waiter Mr Amigo recommended fish taco (Red Snapple) which was the best fish taco I have ever had, it was so crispy and delicious. After which we ordered Chicken quesadillas after see it being brought to the table next to us. The mozzarella was so good we end up ordering seconds and we loved it. We also ordered Mexican style eggs with bacon and ham which was not too bad but not the best. Over all this place is well priced and has a great view and ambiance.

First and foremost, this place is now called Taco Drillo. You'll get confused because the front still shows Marina Sunrise. I wasn't able to tell if I was at the right place until I compare the pics. Now my review. This place would have gotten 4 stars based off the food alone. But the service is what dragged it down significantly. It took them 30 mins to make a scramble egg which I was not hungry anymore by the time it was ready. The view is decent, if you're looking to take a break from ocean view to Laguna, this is not a bad spot to visit. I was hoping to see crocodiles but didn't come across any.

!!!!!!!!BEWARE!!!!!!! My bf and I booked this tour online, and it was only a few mins down the road from our hotel. We were able to easily pay $1 USD for the Cancun bus to get there. Easy enough. Upon arrival, we were "taken care of" by a nice enough guy, and they also charge you another $10 per person for some dock fee or whatever. Rip off. We were assigned Aldo, as a tour guide. No one else was on the tour with us. He was not very friendly at first, seemed annoyed that he had to take us out. He briefly explained the boats, and we were off. Not sure why this is called a jungle tour, as there is no jungle. You pass by some wooded areas, hardly enough to be called a jungle. And there are some properties on the water so you may pass locals swimming like we did. We snorkeled for about 10-15 minutes. It was very quick. We had our own snorkel masks, but no further instruction was provided. After our snorkeling session, I was vomiting in the water and was anxious to leave. Aldo pulled me into the boat, and my phone case was released from around my neck, into the water. I didn't feel it because of my life jacket, and didn't see it because I was nauseas and vomiting still while in the boat. 5 mins down the canal, I notice and alert Aldo. He agrees to take us back to find it. When we get by his coworker who takes the overpriced pics, he tells us to wait with him while he goes back. We do. He returns 10 mins later and says his friend found it and we can get it later. By later, he meant 5 hours later. Cool. Upon arrival, again, he tells us that his "friend" who found the phone wants over $1000 pesos or he will keep it and sell it. I had not backed up my phone and didn't want to lose all of my pictures, so we ended up paying. His erratic actions after receiving the cash were very clear that he and this "friend" (whom we never saw, never heard a name of and didn't know which marina he was at) were in cahoots. He already told us that they find go-pros, cell phones, money, jewelry on a daily basis. So they either keep them, sell them or sell them back to customers if they notice in time. So I beg you all - take your time and check EVERYTHING before you leave anyplace. Don't let anyone rush you. Make sure you have all of your belongings!! These people have a whole set up going on. They are not honest. There are other marinas who operate way more professionally and have better prices. Shop around. You've been warned.

Beautiful and calm breakfast experience! We came about 9:30am as it was just a short 5 min walk from our Air BnB and we were not disappointed. The $5 breakfast is perfectly portioned. The juice taste heavenly and the view cannot be beat.

Great find, and at nice timing as I've been spending like a beast. This hotel district will bend you. Three eggs and ham, beans, coffee, orange juice and tortillas for $4.50. Perfect for a quick breakfast or lunch. Same owners as the Crab House right next door. Very nice service too. During some cash... the bill doesn't have a tip area.

Amazing view and great place for some huevos con jamón cafecito. Great customer service and great price only $90 pesos for breakfast

Breakfast with a view! Simple yet yum Mexican Omlet. Fresh juice is included with the Omlet order which is great and value for money. The views of the lagoon is refreshing with the breakfast. I totally recommend this place. It is lil tricky to find this place. You can get to level 2 and then down to the deck so ask someone to guide you if you do not find it easily.

Mandy B.

Great simple breakfast packed full of flavor. Scrambled eggs with your choice of meat, served with tortillas, pico de Gallo and some sort of spicy sauce. It sits on the marina (you have to go through the coffee shop and then downstairs to get to it) so you get a great view of the water and boats. We ate here twice while on vacation and prefer this over the hotel breakfast.

There was free parking before arriving but the small fee at Cancun Bay resort was WELL worth the hassle of parking further and walking. Juanito met us out front and escorted us to the check in desk. We showed out prepaid receipt but still had to pay the $15 per person marina fee (which was advised prior to arrival). We all received a sealed snorkeling snorkel and Jose passed out the Mask to all that needed. Jose and Juanito were super! While on the Jungle Tour one of our boats lost power after we arrived at our diving spot. Jose called for a replacement boat and they switched boats before we had finished snorkeling. It was a bummer at first but Jose handled very quickly. I would recommend this tour for families and first time snorkelers. You get about 45 minutes of snorkeling and about 45 minutes of a great boat Tour. Back at the Marina all employees had on mask, social distanced, hand sanitizer and the bathrooms (banos) were clean and in great shape!!! There was a bar and restaurant but we didn't patronize. They also have locked lockers to rent for a very small fee and there is a free area storage on each boat that will hold a standard tote bag.

They provided us with refreshments and made us fresh fish ceviche. We spent the day cruising, and sightseeing then swimming in clear waters and snorkeling. It was an amazing time that we will never forget!

The snorkeling part is very average and the reef area they show has pretty much all died unfortunately. If you've never ever snorkeled before I guess it's okayish. There's also a fun water slide and diving board. The total tour is about 7 hours from start to finish. I originally found this activity on TripAdvisor and it had great reviews. Here's the weird part - on TA it says "a tour of the ruins is included". It never happened. I'm not sure if they advertised wrong on there or what but we were kinda bummed about missing that. Overall great activity and I will definitely be back next time we're in the area. TIP: there's an additional $14 USD "port fee" that has to be paid CASH ONLY when you check in. Absolutely horrible experience…read more I had booked a private transfer from Cancun to Playa Mujeres. I arrived and there was nobody waiting for me. I therefore had to use my phone in Mexico (something I was not planning on doing) to contact the Tour Operator. I was told there was an issue with the reservation getting into their system and to hold on. After about 20 minutes they told me that it would be at least an hour before they could get anyone to me. That they would cancel this trip and issue me a refund and that I could find a Taxi. Obviously I would not use this company to return to the airport and booked with a different company. Now, had this company wanted to even attempt to make things right, they should have informed me to book a taxi, and they would pay for that taxi. The trip I booked via Viator was $118. The Taxi Cost me about $147 for one way and the return trip with a different company was $75. So, essentially this company could have offered to pay for the taxi (they would not have had to pay for the cost of their driver or their transportation). So, for maybe an out of pocket expense to them of under $100 they could have maybe had a little better review. But, I did request and get a refund. The company responded to me, "We apologize, there was indeed an error in the automated system entry; however, we have approved 100% of the refund.
