We came here day 2 of our trip, and disappointment was not on our agenda. It's a little tricky to find as it's behind everything by the dock. Also it was empty, there were only 2 other people eating at the bar. We were seated right away, and we had a very nice table right near the dock. I started with a lime margarita, and we ordered all our food at once. There was too much we wanted to try so we ordered extra to have leftovers. My wife got the Ensalada oriental salad, she said it was excellent. The tempura tacos were very good, the fish tasted fresh and was cooked perfectly. The only complaint and I'm nitpicking was there was not much added flavor. Unless you added the tar tar sauce, you tasted the fish and fillings added. Which by themselves were very good. Next we tried the octopus, I prefer squid to octopus but the wife loves octopus. This was very good, it was chargrilled which made it less chewy the usual, so I really enjoyed it. It came with a yellow sauce that the waitress said was spicy. But I didn't find it spicy, in fact it really had little to no flavor. So I could take it or leave it. Finally we had the shrimp pizza, seemed like a crazy combo, however it was very good. It is a thinner pizza so it was crispy, the flavors all worked well. I'm glad we had the rest to take back to the air b n b for lunch the next day. While we were eating someone started shooting fireworks off of the water. So that was an added bonus. The weather was perfect, the food was great. I finished the dinner with a passion fruit margarita. It was very tasty, the only part I didn't like was the end where alot of seeds would get sucked up. Overall we really enjoyed ourselves, if time permits and there is nowhere else we don't want to try before leaving. I would definitely come back. If I could I'd go 4.5 stars, but as that is not an option I went 4. read more

I am so glad we asked our waitress what her favorite item on the menu was - the coconut shrimp. It. was. delicious. The shrimps were seated on curry-like paste surrounded by a bright and refreshing sea of sauce. I was very impressed by the flavor combination. I left Cancun a week ago and I am still thinking about that dish. Otherwise, the oysters were fresh and not salty. The ahi from the poke bowl was tender and melted in my mouth. However, they paled in comparison to the coconut shrimp dish. Our waitress was nice, but mostly left us alone after taking our order. The view was nice, the atmosphere was relaxed, good vibes. We loved our meal. We went to there for lunch and dinner last day before we leave. The seafood was fresh and the cooking technique was good. The price for dishes are reasonable. The drink is a little pricey. The taste was authentic. I liked the grilled octopus with Mano/spicy sauce, crab meat with wonton pasta and the count shrimp with sweet mango sauce. The view is nice and the place has a good atmosphere. The server is nice. The ceviche and poke bowl are too sour in my taste. But that is the local taste I believe . While honeymooning in Cancun, my husband and I stumbled across Sirenas since it is very close to the hotel we stayed at. We are so happy we did! To start, the service was great. Rogelio was very welcoming and treated us well. The food was outstanding- flavorful and the portions exceeded our expectations. We were so happy to find somewhere delicious to eat after being disappointed in the food at our hotel. We ate here 2 out of the 4 days we were there. The drinks are great as well- we got strawberry margaritas and the tajin on the rim was the perfect touch. The view from the restaurant is fun, it is situated right near the port for the Jolly Roger and ferry to Isla Mujeres so the boat traffic is entertaining to watch. If you're looking for Mexican cuisine that won't disappoint, accompanied by great service and a great location, give Sirenas a try. We loved our meal here. Reasonably priced and the views are lovely. Plenty to sit around and watch/observe. We had the ceviche, guac, tuna and oysters. I wouldn't get the oysters again but the rest was delicious. Our waiter was very attentive. The tip was included in the bill but we would've added 15% anyway so this didn't bother us. In general the place it is okay, but for last night Yelp event at the bar they were charging for each beer 15% of service without asking even when you were going to get your own drinks the first time they charger my friend for two beers and didn't give her back the complete money, then I went to get one beer ($45 pesos for each beer) and I pay with a $50 pesos bill and the bartender took my money and he never came back to give my $5 pesos change he just keep my money without asking, the problem here is the attitude of this guy's at the bar is not the five pesos I felt like he stole my money and my friends money... it is employees like this bartenders the ones that ruin a hole business and clients experience... First let me start with the positives. 1) Unlike many restaurants on Yelp in cancun, Sirenna's raw bar is actually located where the map says it is. 2) though Mexican restaurants are generally not renowned for there service, this was the first time on my trip I was actually glad that they forgot half our order. We had the mixed ceviche, which was a mix of shrimp, octopus, and brown mushy fish, although did not contain any bivalves, still managed to have mussel shells in it. After the ceviche we had the smoked tuna tostadas, though we had ordered three, fortunately we were only brought one of these odd, dry creations. After that the guacamole and stale chips arrived, the most palatable portion of the meal. At this point we hoped they had forgotten the shrimp tacos and asked for the check. However to or dismay, three soggy, bland fish tacos arrived before we could tell them to cancel the order. I thought I had tasted the nadir of Mexican dining when I was in England and had 'guacamole' made with mashed peas, but after tasting the food at Sirenna's raw bar, I have a new found appreciation for the true range of Mexican cuisine. read more
