HAD potential....Wow, we didn't have amazing food, and we didn't have amazing service. This place was way overpriced and very generic food, calamari was beaten and cooked, had no life left. We just was too busy chatting with employees. I had to ask her a few times for water and the check, not impressed. They don't take cash, credit card, only and on top of it all they had on a 20% tip! Warning, over priced, over cooked, over tipped. WON'T waist my time!

I would definitely come back here ! If your visiting cancun this place is so beautiful and peaceful! The food and service are amazing. Mario treated us very nicely ! The beach club is stunning it's definitely a fun place to go with family for a good meal and views !

All the food we ordered was so fresh and delicious! You could order your seafood by weight but we didn't do that since we wanted to keep it simple. We had a party of 4 and shared the ceviche mixto, tacos gobernado, grilled and fresh seafood, and fresh guacamole. The staff were all friendly, attentive and accommodating. They gave us complimentary shrimp soup which was tangy and spicy, my fav!! Overall, I had a really great experience (except for being eaten alive by mosquitos/ants so make sure you spray tons of bug spray near your feet and legs if you plan on eating dinner outside by the beach). P.S. There's indoor seating if you prefer to eat in peace. I'd definitely come back and try the other menu items

I'm giving them 4 stars just because it was our first visit (this evening) and haven't tried a lot of items on the menu. What we had was a surf and turf combo with a side order of veggies and rice and plantain. It was all good. We didn't have room for dessert. I'd like to mention Mario, one of the restaurant managers and our server Isabel Dias for being so attentive. The restaurant was recommended by our fellow Garza Blanca member and was close enough to the resort so it was all worth it. For sure we will be coming back on our future visits. Good job, Flamingo Restaurant! We appreciate you!

Was hesitant coming here because of other reviews saying it was overpriced, well those people obviously don't know what their talking about because my husband and I got complimentary chips and a trio of salsas, complimentary soup, 4 margaritas, shrimp empanadas, and a whole fish, which they were kind enough to split onto two plates since we shared, and it was only $50 USD!! Service was outstanding and we were right on the beach with spectacular views. Nothing like delicious Mexican food on the beach at sunset. Highly recommend eating here!

We came here for lunch and let me tell you, I did not eat dinner after. I was so full!!! Our waiter, Daniel, was a young and very vibrant person. Extremely helpful and informative. We ordered so much food, calamari, clams, guacamole and chips, whole fish, chicharrones, melted provolone cheese, salmon, black rice, roasted potatoes, and french fries. Did I mention enough? Anyway, today is the next day and I am still full! I highly recommend, it's right on the beach, there's an amazing breeze so it does not need to be air conditioned. Everything is fresh, they show you the fish or lobster before hand. I will be returning on my next visit to Mexico. oh, there's valet parking for those driving themselves with a small parking fee.

Beautiful view with our mojito and piña colada!

We decided to stop in to have a quick drink and we're greeted with gracious staff. The chips were brought with 3 types of salsa - all were good - not very spicy though (we love the spicy). The menu has a lot to choose from but we had dinner plans - so we ate the crab cakes and grilled octopus. The mojitos and piña coladas were perfect! The view was spectacular and we got a view of Isla Mujeres too. The staff was attentive and helpful in every way. Definitely recommend!

Delicious and great service, if you are trying to save some money though watch out for those up sales.

This is a beautiful restaurant located on the beach in Cancun, but not in the Hotel Zone. It's definitely worth visiting. The place is large and airy, painted in white and bright yellow; the architecture reminds me of something you might find in Key West. They specialize in seafood and it's very fresh. They have tanks with live clams, oysters and lobsters. The oysters were HUGE! They also have a refrigerated room with seafood displayed on ice that you can choose from. We came in for lunch and had some raw oysters and drinks, but it was such a beautiful place and the oysters were so good that we came back for dinner. For dinner, we had oysters Rockefeller, chocolate clams au gratin, New England clam chowder and fish cakes. They were all great except the clam chowder, which had too much cream. We finished with a crème brûlée which was creamy and delicious. We washed it down with some margaritas and finished with espressos. The bill only came to $81 US (cheap, huh?). Service was also excellent and the margaritas were good too. Valet parking is available. Menus are available in English as well as Spanish. Check in on Yelp and get a free cocktail.

Great location, ocean front beach restaurant with great quality vs price, they have a kids area for them to enjoy, only advise make sure you go for lunch, won't recommend dinner here, after 5 pm mosquitos are everywhere

This restaurant was next to my hotel, which is 5min drive from Puerto Juarez. The restaurant is nice with a beautiful view. The staff is extremely friendly and made me feel very welcome. The manager Mauricio came to my table to check if every was good and Jorge was very nice as well. The food was amazing! I had the grilled octopus on Saturday and the shrimp/ Octupus with garlic on Monday . Yep, I went there twice . I got a free drink with yelp and they also give you chips w Salsa, the were amazing as well. The desserts were also good . I can't wait to come back to this Cancun and bring my whole family!

You choose the lobster and then they weigh it and they give you the price.

At a locals recommendation we came here instead of a seafood restaurant near the hotel zone. We are happy we listed to their advice. Flamingos was a wonderful restaurant with a beautiful view. We ordered a grilled lobster with cane with mashed potatoes and vegetables. I believe our lobster was about 22 oz and came out to about $65. That is a very good price since the other restaurant we were planning to go to was 10oz for $45. It was huge and we had no problem sharing. The meat was cooked perfectly and the meat was sweet.

This would never fly in a normal business setting: - NO PRICES, not even incorrectly written or changed - YOU SIMPLY DO NOT KNOW how much anything you are ordering costs! And let me tell you - $40 for guac and chips; $40 for ceviche; $25 for a very small serving of cheesecake. - the fish is sold by weight (even though they prepare it), so you don't actually know how much you will pay for your order in terms of money per unit of food. Now, we had a great server, very attentive and kind. His name was Vlad. I couldn't be happier with his attitude towards us. We also truly enjoyed everything we ordered (chocolate clams were SUPER FRIESH and large; blue fin and hamachi sashimi were outstanding, and even guacamole and chips were above average. I must say - the cheesecake, too, was fantastic. The view and the atmosphere were lovely as well. And had we known the prices, and not were surprised by a $300 USD tab (yes, the server requests for you to add a tip on top of the bill), I would still eat there, but knowingly. And I must say - I'd enjoy my food even more, most likely. P.S. we didn't have any drinks, not even water (we weren't offered any). We didn't have alcohol. Our order was: 12 chocolate clams; 6 pieces of blue fin; 3 pieces of hamachi; 6 prawns; 1 guacamole with shrimp; 1 ceviche; 1 order of cheesecake. Total: $5987 pesos
