Highly recommend bringing towels, bug spray, water proof phone case, snacks and if you choose the Cenotes bring a flash light if you arent a fan of the dark. My friends and I really enjoyed our experience. Everything was organized. We had plenty of time to ourselves to explore and overall we felt really safe. We booked on Trip Advisor to get the price of $170. I'd recommend going through maybe your resort or hotel to see if you can get an additional discount.

It was a little on the pricey side, but overall it was an enjoyable time. We had to reschedule the first date we chose because it was windy and pouring down rain. The second date was perfect weather. We were picked up at the resort and driven quite far to a smaller marina in north Cancun. The boat was older and pretty basic. We did like the fact that it was a smaller group - maybe 20 total people. We stopped half way to Isla Mujeres and snorkeled for 15-20 minutes. We saw quite a few fish and a manta ray. When we got back on the boat, we were handed a paper bag with an apple and either a chicken burrito or a ham and cheese sandwich. No chips or anything. Drinks were included and while they were pretty tasty, there could not have been much alcohol in them. We decided to walk and shop on Isla Mujeres, checked out the beautiful beach with clear water, then sat at a restaurant on the beach to wait for the return trip. Three hours was too long for us on the island, but I guess if you rented a golf cart or taxi, it might have been fine. Overall, we felt it was priced a little high for the overall experience. But we did enjoy ourselves, nonetheless.

It was strange that they didn't have black iced coffee at this Starbucks. The check in office was spacious, process was fast and easy. Hubby booked our tour from a third party so he just paid fees for dock tax and snorkeling on site. Our private transportation got us here a bit early so we walked around and took some photos of this beautiful marina and ocean. They even had a massage parlor on the little beach. We were there in the afternoon so most people were already out at sea. There was barely any other people at the marina and it was so nice & quiet which is always what I prefer. I recommend book a tour here whenever you visit Cancun. Caribbean Sea is so beautiful and snorkeling gets you to tour the reefs and tropical fish even underground museum. Or just some sailing at sea is relaxing enough to have a very good time for a couple hours or even a day!

They served us drinks And helped us get some good photos in. Cons: Only one real con. My only suggestion is to make sure you make your final payment through PayPal or with cash the day of your excursion. There is no WiFi at the dock and I ended up having to pay via credit card which was an additional $50+ dollar fee, even though I was going using his iPad. Had I known in advance I would've just logged into my paypal account, but didn't realize until it was too late. He didn't communicate that part well. Keep in mind these are only here in season…read more (Starting around June 1st - September 15th) The downside to coming to Mexico to swim with the Whale Sharks is you have to wear those ridiculous life vests, but in Isla Mujeres it's almost a guaranteed sighting. Due to government regulations no free diving . The life vest makes it seem like more of a tourist trap than pelagic adventures in other countries. Still a great experience to be in the water with such magical creatures.

Once we returned, we stopped at Playa Norte (some the prettiest water I have ever seen in my life) and they made some fresh ceviche for everyone on board. What a great day and I would recommend their services to anyone.

He was extremely responsive and answered all of my questions in a timely manner. We rented a private catamaran and it was absolutely gorgeous. The boat was sparkling clean and spacious. There was more than enough room for our party of six to spread out and be comfortable. There is a seated area at the front of the boat with tables and chairs, and then the back of the boat has a large netted area where you can lounge. The four hours are mainly spent cruising around. We were able to jump out once and snorkel with one of the crew members as our guide. We also docked once near a beach area and got to swim out and enjoy the beach for a little while. The crew members on the boat were all friendly and attentive. Open bar is included in the package and they were constantly refilling our drinks when they got low. I just wish that they had drink trays or lids -- we mainly wanted to enjoy our drinks on the netted area, but you really couldn't lay out and have a drink at the same time. I was also a little bummed to learn that a 5% card fee was added to the final payment. I paid the first third of the payment online as a deposit, and the remaining 2/3 got paid in person that day. I understandably did not want to carry hundreds of dollars in cash, so that was a little frustrating. If you are traveling to Cancun with a group I think the private boat is worth the cost. For 6 of us it ended up coming out to around 150 PP, not much different than the 100 ish PP that you'd pay to go on a public catamaran. It was really nice to have the private experience, and I wouldn't hesitate to rent with this company again if I found myself in Cancun!

Once we got to the island I asked for the mini bus so we can go to the ruins and was told there is no mini bus and we had to pay to rent a golf cart or taxi. So we ended up having to pay $70 for a taxi what we should not have had to pay for it cause it was supposed to be included. We also were never giving the free hour at bar 11 once we got to the island. I did mention that to the lady running a tour and she said she forgot to tell me. I know she was texting somebody about the mini bus and not being given a free bar but I have heard nothing. So we paid $500 and essentially did not get 1 hr. of open bar at IXI Beach* Minibus on Isla Mujeres and definitely were short changed on this snorkeling. I texted them also once I got home and heard nothing back yet. Don't do your excursions here guys, really!

Took an hour to get to the fishing spot and after we had caught nine fish (everyone in our party reeled at least one in) we headed back early because we had some seasick people and it was raining. They filleted the fish we asked for and we ate them for dinner. Even with our choice to cut it short, it was still a great experience and would highly recommend them!

They filleted the fish on the way back to the marina for us but unfortunately none of the restaurants at our resort would cook it for us as some other resorts will. At the Xenotes Tour, you get to enjoy four cenotes plus different activites at each: Ziplining, Snorkeling, Rappeling, Kayaking, Inner Tubes, and Cliff Jumping. There's also a photographer that is with us throughout the whole time capturing pictures of everyone in our group. They also provided two meals, the first one was pastries and beverages (water, soda, hot chocolate, and coffee) and the last one was a full on buffet spread (salad, cheese, meats, bread, water, soda and beer). Our tour guide, Manny was amazing and he made the trip very memorable. He was very helpful with my mother in law and my little son. He guided the group from beginning to end and made the trip to all four cenotes a breeze. We all had a fantastic time and we even purchased the pictures at the end. Aside from the photographer, I recommend bringing a water case for your phone and a GoPro! We got so many amazing videos with my husband's GoPro. I cannot express how fun this excursion was and would definately do it again. Tips: Wear a swimsuit, water shoes and comfortable clothing on the bus and for after. Towels are provided. Bring cash to tip your tour guide for an amazing time. The cenotes are located in the middle of the jungle so cell phone service is not available.
