We did encounter some technical obstacles as my emails were not reaching her server; but Lashunda did made herself available through phone. Overall I believe everything turned out well!

Nancy, a member in charge, was rude, disrespectful to our guests and very confrontational...to the point of stepping in the personal space of my son and 8-mos pregnant daughter yelling in thier faces! Of course these are grounds for reaction. However to avoid BS, we cleaned up, removed our decor, gifts, guests and vacated. Although I have submitted a formal complaint, I have yet to receive a simple apology or return of deposit. There were other members of PYC present who witnessed the interaction in it's entirety and found it to be unprofessional and rude. It doesn't matter how nice the venue when the people in charge have NO CLUE how to conduct business with respect and professionalism!! She made up shady rules according to her emotions, none which were stated in the initial agreement. Don't waste your time, money or energy....

Book this place for your next small-medium sized party!…read more My husband & I are expecting & originally had planned our baby shower outdoors in January. Foolish, I know! Once the weather forecast changed to a chance of rain, we found this place & could not be happier that we did! We contacted the owner Ty, who was extremely easy to communicate with & we were able to come in & check out the space almost immediately & decided it was perfect! We officially booked approximately 4 days before our party when a lot of places need 30+ day notice. It was very reasonably priced & we basically had the location for the entire day. Plenty of time to set up & clean up. We were allowed to come & go all day from 10a-7p as Ty also owns the bakery just next door! She & her staff locked up & unlocked for my family all day so we could drop things off, leave & come back! We had approximately 50 guests, about 40 adults & some children & everyone fit more than comfortably. We were allowed to bring in any food & alcohol that we wanted with only a $75 service fee for the alcohol. A Bluetooth speaker & tables & chairs were also included & were comfortable & all in good condition. There is bathroom inside & heating & AC as well as trash cans & trash bags. The owner, Ty was on scene next door all day til we were all done & ready to leave & locked up for us. We absolutely loved our having our party here & will absolutely be back in the future!

Cool cigar patio to the left of the entrance ( could use some outdoor electric fans in summer & heat lamps in winter. Very clean bathrooms & 2 bartenders! Each party we hosted here was 200+ attendees. The Rec Center was the perfect place with ample parking space, great amenities, and a safe and easy location to drive to. Our guests loved the modern, clean look with high ceilings and open floor plan. The stage was great for our live band and dj. Most of all, our parties carried through smoothly and efficiently with the help of the courteous staff that was available throughout the entire event! Thank you Oakley for this center and thank you Oakley Rec staff for all your help in ensuring we had a great event that day!

Our wedding brought together Pakistani and American families and friends, and the menu was the perfect blend of both cultures. There was truly something for everyone, including vegetarian and gluten-free options, and we received so many compliments on the food from both our Pakistani and American guests! Ryan was incredibly responsive, helpful, and easy to work with throughout the planning process and right up to the day of the event. On the wedding day, Mehran's service staff was professional and attentive and helped everything run so smoothly. They also provided bartending service using the drinks we supplied and took care of cutting and serving our wedding cake, which made things that much easier for us. Everything came together beautifully, and Mehran played a big part in making our wedding celebration such a special and memorable day. The food was outstanding, the service was excellent, and the entire experience was seamless. We would absolutely recommend Mehran for wedding or event catering!
