Everyone was always so kind and understanding, always kept very good communication and respond fairly quick to any questions or concerns we would have. Truly made our whole planning and the day of experience as easy as one can have planning a wedding they were very welcoming and understanding with everything we had brought to them and was more than willing to work with us with our culture, vendors, family, and everything else that came along with the day. We especially really appreciated Jaime she had helped us most being our coordinator she was a rockstar and made all our dreams and visions come true, one of the sweetest most understanding women we had ever met. The venue also itself is beautiful and not too expensive at all compared to other venues we had looked at. Definitely would do any form of special event there and amazing for photos! First I want…read moreto say that they are incredible at their job, emails were promptly responded to, changes were made immediately, and their expert advice made our wedding go beyond expectations. I think most people would have a lot of anxiety during not only the wedding planning stages but also the day of but I can tell you that with these guys and their team, we had zero stress, zero anxiety and of course ZERO problems. They planned everything down to the minute, and even though we were the reasons that things didn't go on time, they were excellent at handling any last minute changes. When we were behind, they never pushed us to get back to our original routine, but rather asked us what we wanted and how we wanted it. Best yet, most of this was done behind the scenes, they allowed us to have all the fun we wanted while maintaining the structure that all weddings have. If I had the chance to redo it all over again, we would book the same venue and hire the same coordinators. I can't thank them enough for making sure that our special day was the most special day we've ever had! And they achieved it, beyond our wildest dreams. Now a bit about the venue, it is freaking GORGEOUS. The ceremonial lawn was huge and scenic. The minimalist lawn area added a degree of elegance that we hadn't expected. The actual hall was gorgeous, and HUGE we had about 120 people and we easily could have had double that. The entire grounds were amazing, so much room for everyone to roam around in. I didn't even get a chance to explore the entire place as it was way too big for how fast everything went. If you guys want a place that's already beautiful and requires very little decorations, this is it. Some uplights and flowers are all you need (maybe not even flowers?). The staff is incredibly polite, professional and extremely well trained. Everyone at our wedding loved the venue, and they loved how kind each and every member of the staff was. I honestly cannot recommend this place enough, I can't recommend our coordinators enough. I would say, take your chances with them (but honestly you're not gambling at all, these guys are the real deal!). Do yourselves a favor, book Club Los Meganos and don't look back. At first, it was a…read morebit hard to get a hold of someone, I sent an online inquiry/email, and then I called to leave a voicemail. Once we got in touch with them, the communication was smooth. This is a members-only club for most of their area, so they'd have specific doors for the wedding guests to enter in from (it won't be from the main entrance). The door would lead straight to the wedding area though, and the layout was great. Overall, I'd say the venue was great and the tour was very informational/professional. It was easy to envision how the wedding would be like there. Price-wise, it was actually very reasonable for the quote, especially with how spacious the area is. We loved the space, the scenery, they also provide a coordinator so you don't need to worry about finding one outside. However, we decided to pass since there wasn't an option for us to try out the food prior to signing the contract. We'd also have to pre-select the food for tasting, and if we didn't like it, we'd have to pay extra to come back for it. Since the drive is 1.5hr long, we didn't want to risk having to do the back and forth just to settle on the food (and what if we just didn't like the food? That was the risk too). This venue was definitely top 3 on our final list though.

When I called I was informed it was now The Happy Hive. The gal who answered was wonderful, she told me about open play, bring grippy socks, and offered directions. This location was not Waze friendly, Waze took me a roundabout route but it's essentially in the same parking lot as Sylvia's Country Kitchen, an Antioch staple. Across the way from Sylvia's you will see a yellow banner for The Happy Hive. When I arrived I was greeted immediately and welcomed. Since it was our first time I had to sign a waiver. Unfortunately my son lives in crocs, which means I had no grippy socks. Luckily they had them for purchase under $5. Shoes and personal items were stowed into a cubby. My son excitedly yelled "I'm so excited!" When he saw the place. We entered and my son just ran around from exciting area to the next. There's a large play floor. But another rooms to the sides set up with different themes. There also an imaginative play set up in another area as well as a craft section. What impressed me the most was how nice the staff was. They let go our PGA pro because she was a female and the interim GM was extremely misogynistic. To make up for this and not be sued, they hired another female head pro... she's really nice. The Interim Gm is now back to being the Course Superintendent..... not very good at that either... dead spots in every fairway, tee boxes are round mounds of incline or decline, hard pack in bunkers, weeds in the fairways where grass should be, people even have signs on their back fences begging them to fix the grass, our driving range is supposed to be grass most of the time... better to call it "on weeds" than "on grass". We haven't had club wide tournaments in a long time - only men's, or women's club events... nothing club wide for everyone. The food was AMAZING... 5 years ago... We used to be able to get some great food after a round but now we get half a$$ed dishes. Ordered a burger in the bar and the patty was a frozen thin puck of leather... sent that back. They used to have the best chicken fingers, now their chicken tenders here are worse than wal-mart -- seems they order the same ones that chili's does for the kids meals. They had a special "potato skins" added one day... that photo is below... they were potato wedges with barely any cheese, mushy and sad. Same tired sh1t on the menu every weekend. The F&B Manager is lacking and doesn't seem to know how to run a bar. She removed all the member's favorite beers and wines from the club. She treats her employees that have been here longer than her like they don't know anything about what the membership wants. Events at the club have declined as well - no more new years events, member events start at 5pm on Wednesdays... if you commute, don't expect to make it, no more concerts, haven't had a prime-rib & lobster night in years. The response when we ask about anything -- "thanks for your feedback". Really the only thing keeping our membership here is the staff in the bar. We love the bartenders and the wait staff. The Management are running the course and club into the ground.

They have marshals now and the fairways have improved. Get the membership, it's worth it for the course AND range. It'll pay itself off really quick.

I went there first to use their driving range. I was informed that they have a membership fee and offer discounts for the tee time, range balls, and 2 weeks advance for tee times. I finally tried playing there and I was amazed by the condition of the golf course. It's well-maintained and the fairways and greens are spectacular. The layout of the course is also amazing. It's a challenging course and as a high handicapper, I was challenged on course management as well as selection of clubs. There's several holes with water hazards next to the greens. So selecting the right club and the right approach to the green is a must. I have unfortunately lost several balls on several holes. If you want this to be your home course, I suggest you get their membership and save on the tee rate, range balls, and twilight rate.
