This is a proper workman's café in Hackney Central. There is not a great deal that separates it from other workman's cafes, and anyone who has been to one will know what I'm talking about.
Saying that, one thing that sets it apart is its eccentric use of the colour orange. Apart from the orange outdoor tables, the inside of the café has an overwhelmingly bright orange paint job. I really like it, as often cafes like this can be a bit dreary.
The breakfast is pretty good. In true workman's café style, the portions are big and it is cheap. It is this kind of unpretentious place that it refreshing to visit every now and then. read more
