I'm a sucker for a good egg, and this spot appreciates eggs in all of its forms. But where it truly…read morestands out is when it's cooked over medium so it's golden, runny, and velvety dripping down your hands and soaking up in your sandwich. So make sure and have napkins handy. My husband had the bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich while I had the cheeseburger for breakfast since the "slut" specialty sandwich wasn't available. My husband said his sandwich reminded him of one his mom used to make at home growing up, which is a lovely sign. Mine was a slightly above an average burger with a touch of dijonnaise and pickles. We also had a side of the truffle hash browns and they were great! Just a classic, crispy hash brown with a hint of truffle flavor. I hope to try another sandwich before my trip ends. But if I don't, I'm pretty happy with my experience!

Love Love Love Love!!…read more I missed my opportunity to visit Egg Slut in Vegas so I was not only shocked but over the moon to try it in the UK! The line is long. Very long. Almost never-ending long and there is barely any seating upstairs or downstairs but never fear because outside directly infant of the store also has no seating lol My husband and I crossed the street after getting our food and sat on the benches outside. We absolutely loved every aspect of the meal. The sandwiches were filling and jammed packed with flavor. The price was average for the area and the hash browns are the best I have ever tasted. I cannot wait until I visit Egg Slut again

Both very sweet and eager to help serve us. There weren't very many customers, so we had the pick of restaurant in terms of tables we choose a really nice one in a zen feeling room. The son upon asking us about drinks told us they make a really good chai. So my daughter and I ordered that. True to word they do and they included a cookie for us to try with it! The sandwiches, paninis and bagels we ordered were good as well with one hiccup...My daughter ordered an egg and avocado sandwich and the avocado was not ripe, so that was disappointing to her. My husband and I enjoyed our food. They had some games at the table so it was fun to play those while we waited. Overall, a good experience, it was relaxing and as we were leaving the son gave my daughter a pastry and said he was sorry about the avocado. We thought that was a really nice gesture and it was appreciated.

We had coffee, cheese and ham croissants, a cinnamon and raisin pastry, and something filled with feta and spinach. Everything was delicious! The restaurant felt so cozy and nice! I tried an iced latte and carrot cake. The Carrot cake different than I have had before and made with maybe a white buttercream frosting? Espresso shots were soapy to me. I do know brew method they use, or water type m. But, I am also realizing England has great tea. I have yet to find great coffee with good extraction. This is some of the best coffee I've had in 6 months or more. Bear in mind, I'm from Portland,…read moreOregon -- one of the coffee capitals of the world. We're quite proud of our coffee scene, and Butter Bakery could beat out most of the options in Portland. I had an oat milk latte and an americano, plus a few food items. Let's start with the americano. Now, I'll admit, I'm not the most skilled barista. I have some sense of how to pull a shot of espresso, but I'm not brilliant at it. With that as context: I do not exaggerate when I say there was more of that delicious creamy head on the americano than I've managed on some straight shots I've pulled. The espresso roast was subtle and sweet -- I waited too long to write this review, so I couldn't cite precise notes, but this is definitely a roast I could enjoy sipping on and slowly analyzing, while still being very approachable. The americano was perhaps a tiny hair more diluted than I would have liked, but it didn't quite reach "watery" either. I choose to see this as a deliberate choice to further open up the profile of the espresso. The oat latte was expertly foamed, with the right amount of oat milk so as not to overwhelm the espresso. It was on the dry side, almost a cappuccino, which is exactly what I prefer in a latte (if I wanted a cortado, I'd ask for a cortado). I don't know which oat milk they use, but it was sweet and creamy and simple and complemented the espresso beautifully. There's also a food menu that, while not hugely extensive, is packed full of gems. I very much enjoyed the pesto mozzarella tomato panini with extremely its fresh ingredients. It's about the size you'd expect for a cafe panini, and thus a bit more expensive than I'm comfortable with, but I'll chalk that up to the location -- compared with other local options, Butter Bakery Bar and Cafe is absolutely a contender for a budget lunch. Lastly, I'll just mention: I did not try the Mediterranean mains options, so I can't speak to their quality, but seeing things like mezze on a cafe menu is a nice change of pace.
