We happened onto this cheeky little spot after a day of walking through all of the city - they had avails and we sat down to enjoy a wonderful meal of good espresso martinis and My Place Burgers - this is a good place to start the evening before a nice of dancing or continued galavanting! In search of a cafe we stumbled across this nice one and sat down at a table in the back. The variety of cakes and pastry looked quite appealing and so we order. I take a slice of carrot cake, my company takes two natas, another small pastry of which I do not know the name and a slice of tiramisu. With this we have big cappuccinos and a double espresso. The atmosphere in this place is very cozy and comfy, you can lean back and chillax. Nice lamps, decorative objects on the wall and many framed photos are attached to the walls. The service is very friendly and attentive. Overall a very nice place - but the prices are really a bit too high. Cute little place with lots of small 2 person tables. I ordered the English breakfast and cappuccino. They have a beautiful selection of pastries at the counter as well. The English breakfast was a full fry up, and everything was cooked perfectly. The bread was a thick buttered fried sourdough. The cappuccino was perfectly foamy, creamy, and delicious. We also ordered the berry tart, poached pear and ginger cake, and lemon almond tart. All three were delicious and must order for very different reasons, but if I had to rank them, I'd get the berry tart first, poached pear cake, and then the lemon tart. read more

Went there yesterday night with my bestie. I wanted to "check in" but My Place wasn't on Yelp. They have been opened for 6 months. We ordered a cocktail which was nice and they moved a table outside with chairs so we could enjoy the British summer. As they were very grateful that we were putting them on Yelp, we got some Jaegermeister shots with the manager. Cocktail was nice, toilets were clean, staff were kind and the price was not too expensive, the same kind of price you get in the area. I'll definitively will check in again as they were so nice and I should try a few more cocktails on their menu :) read more

A truly lovely cocktail/coffee bar. Hidden amongst the hustle and bustling streets of soho, it is laid back and luxurious long, thin bar with plenty of seating. The drinks are a little pricey but typical of the area. They also reserve areas for drinks if needed. The food too looks fantastic, sadly I didn't give it a try this time round but I'll definitely be back for a cheese board! I also have to give a mention to the very very friendly waiters. The most amazing breakfast! The poached eggs are almost too damn good to eat! And the coffee is great!

So freaking good. I got the roasted veggie sandwich and added avocado and it was one of the best things I have ever eaten. My friends got pancakes, eggs royal, and the avocado omelette. They all enjoyed their food a lot as well! The atmosphere is so cute with super cozy decor and seating. Great place for breakfast, brunch, or lunch! Other meals may be good as well (we saw another table get pasta that looked AMAZING), but I have not had the chance to try it from here yet. read more

Visited here on a late Sunday afternoon ,the staff were very welcoming and happy to answer the various questions about the different cakes. The cafe has a warm eclectic cosy feel, we had filter coffee ,chocolate cake and fruit slice. The coffee was good but alas the fruit slice didn't taste as good as it looked but the chocolate cake was ok. Hands down, this joint has the best tasting, most beautifully presented mocha ever, and I am not a big fan of mochas, but when I return here, it is all I get. If you're reading this, seriously get up and go get one right now. There is the perfect amount of espresso:milk:cocoa ratio as to avoid extremes of being too bitter and chalky or so-sweet-it-tastes-like-a-hot-milkshake. In the heart of Soho and on Berwick Street, one might think a place like this would operate with a ton of ego, but it's actually very modest and the staff are very kind and attentive to customers as well as keeping the space neat and tidy. They are so quick to tend to the espresso bar or the table-service. There are nooks in the back (on the first floor) where there are outlets to plug in and work. A little cavernous, but intentionally, there are mud blocks on the ceiling, and what appears to be the original brick of the building, which I adore. The atmosphere is very chill as well. Nothing loud or obnoxious, the music is fabulous as well. Think pop tunes (even some rock) in the form of swing covers, like Sting's "I'll Be Watching You" and Radiohead's "Creep." Very interesting. [I would however avoid the breakfast tea, it is quite weak/watery. Stick to the espresso-based stuff] I haven't been here in the evening or late night time frame to partake in their cocktails, but definitely aching to return. read more

I came here on Friday to celebrate a friends birthday. We arrived a bit early for our booking and decided to sit at the bar instead of the table until a few more people arrived. The staff are so friendly here, they make you feel incredibly welcomed, nothing is too much for them. I was only only going to have one wine, however seeing it was cheaper to order a whole bottle instead of 3 glasses, my one wine turned to two hehe. The drinks menu isn't huge, but there is enough variety that you don't notice. The food also looked amazing. The venue itself is rather small, and if you do want drinks/food on a Friday best to reserve a table so as to not be disappointed. Came in for lunch on my own, was shuffled to a desolate table by the entrance to the toilets. The hostess didn't seem welcoming at all, she was very unpleasant to me and to other customers, I felt as if I wasn't wanted. I ordered a lasagna, which had soggy sheets, as if they had been boiled for ages, and it was very dry at the bottom and there was not much sauce. Served with a salad comprised of OLD leaves, and over-seasoned (perhaps to compensate for their lack of freshness). At least the prices were reasonable, but it really ruined my day, I usually enjoy my lone lunches. I would recommend to either come with more people (you will certainly be treated better) or avoid it entirely. read more

I found my new perfect cafe this morning at My Place. The espresso machine is from 1961, making it among the oldest being used in the neighborhood. The result is an amazingly robust Americano, which I took black. The hospitable baristas (2 men and 1 woman when I was there) were kind, inviting, and knowledgable about good espresso. The pastries looked and smelled amazing - one recommended the pistachio croissant, which I will enjoy tomorrow morning when this becomes my new morning oasis. Jazz music added to the aural ambience. I hope more people enjoy this new treasure in Soho - but not too many! read more
