I bought my Sirrus in 2010 and I'm guilty of not doing any proper maintenance since then (grimace)…read more There are a handful of bike shops in the city but traffic and parking have prevented me from doing so. I am so GLAD to have found this location by the powers of Google as it's very close to where I live and traffic/parking will never be an issue. Paige & Kevin are awesome guys, and I received great tips for keeping my bike in tip-top shape. I hopped on the bike the moment I got home and took it for a mini test ride around my driveway and I could instantly feel the difference from before. It's a brand-new bike all around!!! Super thanks to you all!

As a SSF resident and an owner of several Specialized bikes, I was stoked to find they have opened…read morean authorized service and sales shop so close by. Recently, I've had 2 separate experiences within a week a week of each other. The first one, I was selling a bike on CL. A buyer living in Colorado asked if I could ship the bike and I was reluctant to do it. I suggested he call Specialized Bay Area to see if they can handle the packing and shipping of the bike, basically taking liability to get it shipped there. The transaction worked out perfectly where the buyer dealt directly with SBA on the shipping. Buyer Venmo'd me payment and received his bike in 3 days! Kudos to SBA for offering this service! The second experience. I was gonna go for a ride on the Levo this morning. Found a broken spoke. I texted the SBA and explained my problem, gave them a copy of my registration of the Roval wheels, and they said to drop it off any time. I stopped in @ 4pm on a Friday thinking to pick it up next week. One of the managers, Yoav replaced it on the spot, trued the wheel, lubed all the nipples, installed factory tubeless tape, all within 10 minutes! Best of all, the spoke repair was covered under warranty! Actually, the best of all was the staff were friendly and personable. :-) My bike was down for only a few hours! By far, the best experience I have had with a bike shop. I hope they stick around because I want I work here when I retire. Specialized for life!

MCBC March 12 Gala alienates auction winner due to non transparency from Tour coordinator…read more, unscrupulous , aggressive action of Director I was the winner/ Recepient of an Italian bicycle tour valued at -$3500.00 USD that my final bid cost $2,400.00 I was told by " a tour guide Lynn Lusio that I didn't have to pay for it at the auction and that she would be more than happy to answer all my questions that I would pose? 4 days later I received an email from Lis Bernstein ( a director of MCBC) congratulating me and requesting payment- she asked me in her text " if I was really interested in going" as if inferring there were others if I declined at this point which I felt was strange because it made me feel like she didn't want me to go! I told her I was a business person and wished to be 100% sure before paying and posed questions to Lynn Lusio who got back to me with vague answers and non prompt responses seemed " like pulling teeth. I got the impression in working with her that " too many questions weren't ok and that due to the reduced fee I was to pay that I should suck it up and accept my prize as is. Since when has it ever been a burden to get all the info n facts thru complete transparency of informed consent before committing. I get almost all my info and had a few more essentials waiting from Lynn and was asked again for pymt on the 26 th from LB. I told her I was still waiting for final details from Lynn and would pay by the 28 th for sure! LB got back to me stating this was unacceptable and that " the witch" gave it away to another couple. There was never any written guideline / agreement between MCMB n auction winners pertaining to " the absolute final day when payment was due and I feel the underhanded way she handled this was completely inappropriate n unacceptable .it appeared to me in dealing with her that it was all about $$$$ My review here is about the business side of MCMB which would anger anyone n put them off in terms of not doing business in the future. This is not a reflection of the nice people ( members and non members )alike whom I met at the gala ! Calveet Emptor- there was another site I reviewed b4 writing this that gave MCBC 60% due to their lack of business acumen n financial dealings so please watch ur step!
