I was so excited to find such a wonderful, clean shop with a nail technician who's number one goal is keeping the health and integrity of my nails. My nails are exceptionally finicky and she has been working with me to find a service that will help me keep them healthy and strong and help them grow. I love that my nail art will be unique to me and not recreated for other customers. With a single technician shop (even prior to Covid-19) she kept her shop and service equipment impeccably clean and sanitized between customers. As another reviewer said, nail shops are a dime a dozen. However, what they didn't know is Mari is not! I have never in my life had someone care for my nails a much as I do. I went in for the first time today. I made an appointment and Mari contacted me shortly after to talk about what I needed. I found that customer service amazing! Taking the time to consult with a new client before the appointment A++. Mari's private suite is perfect. Clean. Mari herself was so sweet and easy to talk to. With what I brought her to fix, I am surprised she didn't just send me on my way. I had ugly chunky globs of acrylic topped with endless amounts of dip powder. All encased in a gel top coat. It was horrific. It took her 45 minutes to just file off what bordered on a war crime that had been committed against my nails. Mari took her time and did the job the right way. Filed it all down enough to soak off in a reasonable amount of time. Mari took care in selecting new (correctly sized) tips. She expertly trimmed, shaped and applied my choice of dip powder. Strange way to run a business. Myself and two others were looking for a new nail salon. We agreed to contact this one. Although response was prompt ... by text (?), she stated she does not do Hard Gel, which I currently wear and she would not fill them as she does not go over others previous work. I would have to pay $20 to have them taken off and redone (?) ... yep, another head scratcher on that response. This was confusing since she stated she didn't do Hard Gel but never bothered to suggest something different or better ...? And never asked about the other two individuals who would also be new clients. I have a successful consulting firm and I cannot confirm if she is of the 'millennial' generation, but responding by text, seemingly not interested in grabbing three new clients when nail salons are a dime a dozen, and operating by appt only leaves me to wonder ... Mari was very friendly and did an OK job on my dip. However I booked my appointment late on a Friday night and when I arrived to my appointment Saturday she said she normally sends a text to new clients but didn't because it was late, she usually asks what is on nails and lets clients know of her very high removal fee. Since she didn't call me I assumed she wouldn't be charging me this fee...or she would have at least told me it was going to be $20 to remove the dip that was on my nails. when my nails were done I went to pay and was shocked at the price ....$20 removal fee is crazy.....I know a lot of places charge removal fees but in my opinion $20 is insane when I booked my appointment online the price for solid dip color was 40$, she offered 10% off to new clients, so I was definitely not expecting for my dip powder to cost me 65$!!!
