I was really taken aback by their decision to not do what was in the best interest of their patients. I had been a patient there long before medical cannabis became a treatment option in Florida and have spent thousands of $$$ on different treatments for my chronic back issues. It was disturbing to me that my old physician's office would not even consider it on a case by case basis, after all that is what was the intent. To provide a route of administration that would work best for the patient's needs. Once I contacted Dan at Compassionate Alternative Care he immediately understood my perspective and told me that he'd be happy to take over managing my MMJ card. The process was quick and Dan was really helpful and responsive when it came to getting me in to see the doctor quickly and making sure I had exactly what I needed. I like the fact that I can contact Dan directly on his mobile phone if there is something I need in relation to my pain management. That was always a struggle at my previous pain management facility. Contacting the doctor there meant a series of phone calls and voicemails, followed by more of the same until finally they were able to confirm to me any needed changes. All in all I am very happy I contacted Dan @ Compassionate. I have already recommended several others to him and they have had the same experience I did there. Thanks again Dan!!

I am fortunate to have navigated the process successfully, and I have witnessed the difference between other statewide operations and Compassionate Alternative Care. When I first certified with another physician group last year, I had to call and email them multiple times for each step of the process: confirmation of medical records receipt, confirmation of appointment, confirmation of payment, and confirmation of addition to the state registry. In addition, I had to call multiple times for various questions with an average turnaround time of 4 days. Enter Compassionate Alternative Care. The owner, Daniel, is not only the owner but also a patient, so he understands how impersonal and confusing the process can be. Even though more than 70 percent of voters approved the use of cannabis for medicinal purposes, we as a society still perpetuate stigmas. Daniel shines because he adds the human element--with an affable, welcoming touch--to the process. He is accessible through email, voice, and text, and he avails himself to the extent each patient requires him. Daniel is quick to answer questions and assuage fears. He does not rush patients into making decisions; instead, he provides as much information so that patients can make their own informed decisions. You can tell the level of dedication to both his patients and the state for compliance. Once Daniel and the patient reach the conclusion that it is time to be evaluated for a recommendation, the patient then sees a certified doctor. The doctor streamlines the process so that patients are not left to wait unnecessarily. The doctor is attuned to the program's requirements and does the magic doctors do. "Compassionate" is more than the first word of this practice's name. It serves as the foundational value of the owner, the doctors, and, ultimately, the patients.

I have endo and pcos so my period cramps are beyond awful and debilitating. I end up having to take 1600mg of ibuprofen at a time to even make a dent in my pain. Instead of meds (since I messed up my stomach from years of pain killers thanks to my monthly "friend"), I sometimes use a TENS machine to help with the cramps and that helps an okay amount. The best relief is definitely from the topical patches I get here. I get the 1:1, thc, and cbd ones. Since my periods are so painful, instead of one 1:1 patch, I typically apply one thc and one cbd patch at a time and then on day 2 or 3, I add on a 1:1 patch as well. The patches are for up to 72 hours of relief. I've also used them on my back, shoulders, & neck for migraine and tension headache relief. Can't recommend these products enough and this location is great!

But what I do expect--and what any customer deserves--is basic respect, HONESTY, and clear communication. Unfortunately, my LAST/FINAL experience with GREENDRAGON delivered none of the above. From the start, the customer service with "Alice" was a mess. She is rude, a liar(even about the # of times calling me back, c'mon), and also refused to give me contact info for her superior (Eric McCorville?). Simple questions were met with vague answers, empty promises, and, in some cases, flat-out lies. At one point, I was told an issue was resolved--only to find out days later that nothing had been done at all. Either they weren't talking to each other, or they just didn't care. Alice stated (per one of her employees), she was never going to involve her supervisor, regardless of my requests. Worse than the misinformation was the condescending attitude Alice at Cresent City Greendragon expressed. I can deal with mistakes--I get it, things happen. But when a representative(district manager-hmmm)is rude, talks over you, or treats you like an inconvenience? That's where I draw the line. This wasn't just poor service--it was disrespect, plain and simple. What's most frustrating is that this kind of behavior has become normal in some industries. We're told to "be patient" or "wait for a resolution," while we're passed around like a problem no one wants to solve. Well, I'm done being quiet about it. I was overcharged by approximately $60-70 and she offered me $15 off my next purchase. Does not seem to be a equal solution. If it was her money, I bet it would be a different resolution. They immediately made me comfortable and guided me through the process along with the different types of marijuana and their uses. After maybe a half hour I was out and on the phone with a teledoc, listing my symptoms and finalizing the process. I will be telling all of my colleagues and friends to head here for their certification, and would do the whole process over again.
