It is opposite the public toilets inside the arcade on the Eastern side in the walkway that takes you out to Gawler Place. The Watch Doctor has recently featured on one of those television current affairs programs that burst in on people demanding they start talking about something they have done that is evidently untoward. I don't need to name the program, you can go to the Watch Doctors website for a full explanation of that situation. The website more or less tells what seems to be the truth, someone dropped a watch off to be fixed, the watch went missing and that is pretty much the whole story. Sad situation for the Watch Doctor, sadder for his client, because they lost their watch on the Watch Doctors watch, as it were. It is mainly for this reason that I'm saying I've seen better. I have seen watches go into repair shops and get repaired and return to their rightful owner. So yes on that score the Watch Doctor is a bit slack. That doesn't mean they don't sell a few things at reasonable prices, and that you can't check them out yourself. Make up your own mind. Unfortunately negative publicity can kill a business even if it isn't completely accurate. If you were hoping to have your watch fixed, maybe try somewhere else and get a quote and find out if it will be replaced if under any circumstances it goes missing. You can get a quote on a watch repair here, or a jewellery repair, you can browse the watches they have for sale and you can buy batteries for watches. Their position in the city is convenient for people working in the city - otherwise you'd find a local jeweller most likely who has never featured on a current affairs program that is a little dubious itself.

Well he did find it difficult and he bashed the backing plate off to replace the battery. It was only when I sat down for lunch that I noticed that the backing plate was dented and that upset me very much. He has no respect for other people's property and I would class his workmanship as very very poor. He is rough around the edges and he has no skill whatsoever. NEVER GOING BACK THERE !

Can I get a WIN-WIN! The Red Cross 'Two 8 Four' store is situated in the heart of Adelaide's Rundle fashion strip, amongst high-end fashion labels and cafes. Taking a unique approach to charity and fashion, this store has scouted a prime location to boost sales and interest. New on the scene, this shop is filled with vintage treasures scouted from thrift stores for charity. They have dresses, skirts, pants, shorts, jackets, men's clothing, shoes, hats, gloves, books, glasses, jewelry, and knick-knacks to please a vintage treasure hunter. Even if you aren't a general op-shopping fan, this place is worth a look. They scout stylish vintage that is very much in fashion right now and even a dress that goes to the floor can easily be turned into a craft project with a bit of hemming tape.

Their offices are located on Henley Beach Rd, and for the general public they also offer a small safe sex product store. Their range is well-selected and if you're on a budget, exceptionally cheap. They stock condoms, lube, and a few other useful bits and pieces. Once when working on an art project involving inflating hundreds of pink condoms, SIN helped us out with cheap gear. What really impresses me about SIN though is their advocacy and outreach work. Whatever your moral stance on sex work, it happens, whether you like it or not. And it would be much better if it could happen safely and legally. As part of their program they run workshops, social events, a drop in space, advice for new workers, safe sex advice, and speciality services for migrant and trans workers. I have heard representatives speak at SIN at workshops and forums, advocating for change in laws and decriminalisation of sex work. They do an excellent job of talking about their experiences as sex workers, sharing and educating the general public. SIN is an essential safe and supportive space for people who are just trying to earn a living like anyone!

SIN put out a regular magazine for workers, their family and peers to inform them of new issues, such as treatments for STI's and reminders of safe sex, new developments in PEP - post exposure prophylaxis concerning HIV and all the social issues that come up when you are working in the oldest industry known to mankind. There are always people willing to ride their moral high horse around the issue of sex work, prostitution, however it is not about to go away, so it may as well be as organised and as transparent as possible. The office is a place of respect and learning for many. Information, referrals and insight is available here. It is not a place to come looking for trouble that's for sure. I have been on many community organisations boards for many reasons over the years and have advocated in workshops and public forums for many issues alongside of members of SIN and various other groups who helped Australia respond to the HIV/AIDS crisis so I have nothing but respect for SIN and organisations such as the Scarlett Alliance and ACSA.

I believe you, because you nailed every single one of my questions. Your store is kind of like meeting one of your long-lost relatives. Where have you been all of my life?! Both Peter and every employee that walked past me definitely scored high for their friendliness. I was raised by my folks to be nice to everyone, and say hi when you walk past someone (only if they acknowledge you also)...EVERY single employee said hello to me! Yay! Also, you were the first owner to tell me that price was not the most important thing to him. He emphasised that the reason he's lasted 18 years, when the rest disappeared from Adelaide, was he put best service to his customers as his number one priority. I'm really HAPPY to hear this! This sounds like my kinda store! When several other printing businesses around Gawler Place have disappeared, service prevailed. So cool. Like the rest of my family, we are all perfectionists, and want our productions to look perfect. This printing business will get your stuff done, and browsing through their catalogue, they do it really well. Something that is definitely impressive about your business is how knowledgeable you were about your own offerings. I mean, he answered every single one of my questions very well, and he was pleasant enough to clarify, and even add a few jokes here and there! He told me that I can email him anytime, no matter where I am in Australia (or even if I'm overseas, like in Africa!!!) and he'll get it all done and sent to me through the post, whatever I needed! Now that's a business owner who's inspiring me to do something new with y life, as I write this review! Your business has left a great impression on me, so let's leave it at that....and I'm glad you can service me if I am working out of Adelaide! He didn't reveal any of his prices, because he said it varies according to what each customer wants (colour vs black and white, big banner vs small training manual), but I certainly love his offerings, service and conversation skills! But the real reason anyone should go? To add colour and high quality to your work and presentations! Once you step in for the first time, he welcomes you to the world of digital printing - they have solutions to create a high quality, professional image. From a short run full colour presentation document to high volume training manuals or product literature, Colour Tech has the solution for you! It's what they do! No wonder high-paid Corporate people, Government employees and nearby Departments use your business for over 18 years and still running. I wonder if any other printing business in Adelaide can compete with this guy? If so, I'd like to know.

Okay, I may be a bit dramatic about this but I am just sick and tired of whoever I ask, no-one knows how to fix my cracked mobile screen. This is simply what happened: 1. While running, I dropped my phone and upon impact with the ground, cracked the screen. 2. Luckily, I had a friend that knew you so I took it in for repair. 3. You said it Android mobiles were too complicated and you weren't able to do anything for me. 4. You said you don't know which screen to pick to replace this screen. 5. I was told to try my original phone shop, as they would know how to repair it better than you. Better to be honest, than to promote your own business, right? 6. Vodafone was more than happy to repair my phone screen for AUS $250 upfront. Are you joking?! Gimme my phone back. I'll live with the cracked screen for the next 12 months. Thumbs down.

I was pretty disappointed, annoyed and worried that I'd have to deal with a dodgy phone repairer. The kind who would take weeks to get my phone back to me citing excuses like 'the parts haven't come in yet' when I know the truth is 'I've been watching cat videos on youtube for the past two weeks and haven't got around to fixing your pathetic phone'. Luckily a friend put me on to the folks at this fast and effective repairer, Psytech. They're based out of a second storey suite on Hindley Street, and the place looks a little odd. There's a waiting room with MC Escher paintings on the wall and a bloke who is presumably a massive fan of Doctor Who behind the desk. However, they're kind and patient about explaining what needs to be done to fix your phone. They gave me a free quote, my phone came back within a week, and even though electronic repairs can be notoriously expensive, I didn't feel like they were pulling my fillings to line their pockets. All in all, a great little business better than the big boys.
