I was in need of a birthday cake and cupcakes for my grandsons 6th birthday party so I found this bakery as I wanted a "custom" cake ...WELL...the cake designer spoke with me in detail and along with pictures that I provided agreed that she would deliver what I was wanting !!? NOT!!! It turned out to be a complete nightmare, I had my husband pick up the cake/cupcakes for me as I was busy setting up decorations. First off it was a two tier cake and upon moving the cake to put in car the top tier started sliding off!! I came to find out that there were no anchors from top tier to bottom layer to give it support ( not to mention the extreme amount of icing between layers causing the sliding )!? I had given her a pic of the cake design to be put on top tier which was the face of "Pikachu" on it (refer to pic) but what I got was "Pikachu" the horror flick! ( also refer to pic) and lets talk about the frosting, it was so thick that the cake was all frosting and an oily looking frosting not at all buttercream with very little cake hidden in the mass of frosting and tsame with cupcakes, piles and piles of icing and we had ordered half chocolate and half white cake but all were white cake and half of them were burnt !! I took one cupcake and showed the owner the difference in the burnt cupcake and he refused to admit it? I took the complete lowered tier of the cake along with the cupcakes back because my guests that did taste the cake were disgusted by the enormous amount of icing and they said the cake was very dry and so the cake/cupcakes were not eaten? Since I had immediately called the bakery right after my husband brought the cake/cupcakes and I saw the "monstrosity" that they made for my party and the owner said if I return he cake/cupcakes immediately he would give me my money back??? He knew good and well that hosting a party that was not an option for us to leave again? So first thing Monday I returned to the bakery with cake/cupcakes in hand ( except for the cake/cupcakes that I had thrown in he trash) but no matter how visual my complaint was, by pointing out all the issues with their order delivery, and even with all the issues presented the owner would not admit to any and refused to return my money, even though he could see what all my complaints were about and why!! So needless to say that was $215.00 wasted and not to mention the embarrassment I felt having to present my guests AND grandson with such a poorly disgusting looking cake that looked like it was made at home by a novice homemaker not an authentic viable bakery....please review attached pics and visualize why this bakery has received this review on YELP, if I can prevent anyone else from going thru the kind of disappointment and embarrassment that this bakery put on me then Ive done my just duty? My Go to panaderia bread went a little up in price but it's still good always fresh. The service is good, quick and easy. If you go early there's not as many moscas flying around just fyi but over all good place for pan Dulce cravings. read more

My mom really likes the bakery so I decided to buy some a dozen from them. I bought pork, chicken & cheese with jalapenos. The masa was a little dry, 10% was meat & 90% was masa. My family and I used to really love this place we used to come here all the time for all our family events, birthday parties, funerals weddings, you name it. I really wanted to have some of my culture at my engagement party so we ordered a whole bunch of mini breads to have at the party. I sent a friend to go pick it up for me. Everything was already paid for but when she arrived, they told her that it was going to be five dollars extra, which is crazy because I had paid two days in advance and they said that they quoted me wrong on top of that. Whole building has a roach infestation! Maria's bakery fumigated often ( use to work at this building ). I didn't. Last working at one of the buildings location because of the roaches. So I did see this place fumigate. At the time the other shops didn't fumigate. Roaches in between walls. It was just disgusting . Tried getting bread here a couple times but just walked out. This bakery has the best "bolillo" (like a steak sandwich roll) and sweet Mexican bread in the Inland Empire. The bread stays soft for days vs. others that it's hard like rock the next day. This place is great!!! I would give it 4.5 rating because they close early I go late because evening hours expect a line. Parking is a struggle and line can sometimes be confusing. If they know this to be a problem maybe suggesting extra staff during busy hours I could assume many customers are aware of that and end up leaving and avoid frustration. This place has THE BEST Mexican bolillo and pan dulce in the area!!!!! I drive 30 minutes just to come here because it is the best! The flavor is delicious, the bread is not too sweet, and the bread stays soft and delicious for many many days, perhaps even longer than a week!! It does not get hard the next day which is always a big concern when buying pan dulce. Seriously, you have to come here. It's incredible and delicious. Just beware of the line that can form. It can get long quickly but the lady at the counter attends you quickly. She is the only one to touch the pan dulce so you are sure the bread is clean and not full of germs of random people touching it and leaving it. They only accept cash so come prepared.
