He gave us the opportunity to do a small tasting of the flavors we were interested in getting for the cake and brought the vision of the cake to life perfectly. In addition to the 5-star service, the cake was equally delicious. We opted for a vanilla cake with fresh strawberries and it exceeded our expectations. It was a hit at the party with many asking for another serving. The price point was more than reasonable and size of the cake was beyond what we imagined. If you are in the Inland Empire and looking for a quality cake at a reasonable price, I would recommend A&C Cake Shop. The service was amazing, they always have long lines and at times it can be wrapped around the building. The staff has a great system in place allowing the wait time to be about 6-8 minutes long from start to finish (10 minutes on a busy day). If you are wise don't go alone and have someone tag along. One person to get in line while the other parks-- then one person to get Mexican bread while the other waits in line for the tamales. The inside has a small feel to it only because of the amount of customers they have at any given time. BROWN BUTTER MISO (syrup) Butter Miso syrup with splash of whole milk. Ordered it as a latte and iced, but later changed it to splash of milk. It was slightly sweet. The coffee was not strong. Thought it would be espresso, but it was regular brewed whatever coffee. The syrup was not as good as they said it was. A light caramel flavor, but it kind of disappears as you drink it. The splash of milk even drowned out the coffee flavor! There's no miso or salted caramel or butterscotch flavor. None whatsoever. I did love this drink one bit! As the ice melts, all the coffee and caramel flavors disappear with it. They said this was their popular flavor too. Really? Now I'm confused. MATCHA COCONUT Coconut water + Matcha cold foam. Clean flavor, not as sweet. Mostly coconut water with light matcha flavor. If you don't want a heavy drink, this may be the drink for you. This was a far better drink than the brown butter miso coffee I had. COFFEE STAMP CARD I was given a stamp card after my order. So ask for one if you did not receive it yet. Freddy's by contrast tells its regular customers who have patronized the franchise for years, & spend at least $60 per visit usually once a week on 3 burger combos & at least 2 custard desserts to GET OUT passive aggressively saying "I'm NOT throwing you out, just asking you to leeeave!" amidst wildly unclear explanations as to why we're essentially being accused of theft. They should rename the franchise to Jack Boot Burger. Why is Freddy's is so allergic to money and good will, they'd throw it all away for fries they were making anyway? Remember friends, "Freddy's fries are always hot, even when they're NOT." The ambiance is cute.

Then he went on saying about them running out of bolillos and how the customers were complaining about it so they close early because of it. Then he said that their employees work all day and they need to get home to their families. Ok, sounds like a considerate employer huh. Wait! But...Hmm, that's how they answer to their loyal customers? Wow!! What an unprofessional demeanor and lack of consideration. Very poor service skills. Definitely not taking notice of the customers at all. Do they not understand that the customers are main reason they exist as a bakery? And if they want their employees to get home to their families, why not close every day at 1:30 pm or 1 pm? Doesn't make any sense. All it takes is to change the hours on the sign. Am I the only one who's been blown off like this? For more than 40 years, I, as well as many members of my family and friend in the Inland Empire, have been regular customers and contributors to this bakery and the other Vallarta's bakeries and they just could care less and give us the cold shoulder. If it was an employee who told me this I'd understand, but an owner! They just lost me as a customer. I'll surely let all family and friends know. To the owner: Closing your bakery early was overlooked over and over, but you belittling and dismissing me as your customer is unacceptable. Please learn communication skills before dealing with your customers or you will lose them. To Employers of Vallartas Bakery - What a disappointment!
