Rude employee
Paloma D.

My mom and I were trying out this bakery for the first time rude woman whom name didn't want to give out. Pick what customers she would attend and who would wait. Like common sense you get in line and wait for your turn.. No this woman didn't care and would pick who she would help out. If you are getting pay for a job just simply do it don't make it very complicated if not get a different one.

Squished bread
Wendy M.

There is this very rude lady. She couldn't give me one more bag instead she squished my sweet bread all in one. Love the bread it's nice and fluffy. And very tasty. If it wasn't for that grumpy old lady with the drawn eyebrows.

This is a MUST TRY no matter what if you are in the area. I love their peach cobbler so much I…read morecould eat the crust by itself if I could. They sell slices, all the way to large trays. You can always call ahead and place an order too. Def recommend that during the holidays because lines get long! What blew me away was the sweet potato cheesecake. It was heavenly in so many way. Extremely creamy yet not too sweet. I tried a couple of their banana pudding and it was so light. This is def a grab and go spot, no seating but spacious inside to gawk at the display in the front with all their sweet treats. They work fast when it comes to getting your order ready so come with your list! I was told they are at a farmers markets on Thursdays in Stanton but never got the name of the farmers market so will have to inquire again next time.

Really wanted to try something different for Thanksgiving weekend besides the typical pumpkin pie…read moreeveryone grabs. I've had store bought sweet potato pie and loved those. Wanted to give this place a try.. Unfortunately my entire family including myself didn't enjoy the sweet potato pie which is what this bakery is known for. Not sure what it is, maybe it has too many spices in it? It was a little too sweet and a bit too dense. Crust was perfect, flaky and buttery. We also grabbed the Sweet Potato Cheesecake. That was devoured. Not too dense and creamy. Sweet potato was swirled into the cheesecake which helped it from being too tangy. Underneath the crust had a layer of granulated sugar mixed in with some crumbly crust. That part was a bit sweet but I just scooped it away and it was fine.

The tamales and conchas are by far one of the best around in my opinion. They offer a nice variety…read moreof tamales and an even larger selection of Mexican bread. You can also buy other items but these are the only products I have tried. First I'll start off with the tamales-- the photos are from my purchase because I completely forgot to take pictures while I was there. I ordered 6 of each kind, they have 4 kind to choose from jalapeño with cheese, red pork, green chicken, and corn (sweeter side). They were all so good, freshly made and packed with deliciousness inside each tamale. My favorite one is the jalapeño with cheese they were spicy but not an overwhelming heat. Honestly it had just enough heat to enjoy and taste it. They all were great and not dry at all. The service was amazing, they always have long lines and at times it can be wrapped around the building. The staff has a great system in place allowing the wait time to be about 6-8 minutes long from start to finish (10 minutes on a busy day). If you are wise don't go alone and have someone tag along. One person to get in line while the other parks-- then one person to get Mexican bread while the other waits in line for the tamales. The inside has a small feel to it only because of the amount of customers they have at any given time. I walked in with what seemed like a short line, only for it to feel smaller in a matter of minutes with many more customers arriving. Overall I would recommend to try them out and see how great they are. Lastly, all of the staff were very friendly and helpful !
