Had an amazing meal here today! I had the Texas Fajita with Steak chicken and shrimp -was soooo good! My husband had the fiesta burrito which was also great!! Salsa and chips before the meal was tasty and just a bit spicy but very good flavour - we were travelling between ball games in Brookings an Minneapolis and stopped part way - so glad we did. The food was good as always today. Never a complaint there. Todays service and cost on the other hand were not. Our drinks were not refreshed until we were about ready to leave. Plus, our waiter did not come back to check on us until the other waitress told him we wanted more to drink. Also when we went to get our check, I was surprised to find out the extra (1)"picadillo" I ordered cost $10, when the dinner I ordered which had (2) picadillo burritos (same size as the extra one) refried beans cost $11.95. I've been going there for over 20 years and never received that type of service or cost for an additional item before. must be under different ownership now. I am very disappointed and doubt if I will go there again. read more

If I could give this a negative star I would as I hardly ever post anything like this but our experience was terrible.We had ordered two different flavors of margaritas, one was raspberry the other peach. When they arrived at our table you could hardly tell the difference between the drinks besides what we thought was a drop of food coloring on top of the weird foamy substance, they were also a weird dirty dish water color. We ordered blended but it was straight liquid. After we take a few sips I noticed what seemed to be black string in our drinks. We notified the server and she just folded the napkin up and went to get the what seemed to be manager. He made us new drinks and when he brought them to our table he told us that when they clean the blender they use a wash clothe and it got blended in the blender. Not sure how that's even possible to serve drinks that look so undrinkable to your customers and how she thought serving the drinks to us looking like the complete opposite of what we were seeing at other tables. We still had to pay $4 not sure what it was for as it wasn't on the receipt and we assumed that it would have gotten covered for the inconvenience. WILL NOT BE GOING BACK! read more

Authentic Mexican food. Small, cafe style Restraunt, 22yrs in this location. And the margaritas are spot on. With Ten flavors to pick from. And $2.00 off the Grande Margaritas all day Friday and Saturday. That's a deal! The staff is happy and very helpful. I am not from here, when I return I will come here to eat and drink for sure. Love the salsa! Just the right heat but not too much. Chips are a little too much on the thick side. Wish they had vegetarian options other than "Bean and cheese burritos". Lack of vegetarian options is what keeps me from returning to restaurants. I'm sure the mole would great with potatoes or veggies or even tofu, if one could ever find a mexican restaurant willing to think outside the box like that. All told, it's a friendly place. Get a vegetarian section on the menu and I would have to trouble returning. read more

This restaurant was recommended to us and I would not go back. The building is run down and kind of creepy, we went in the back way and right away we were not impressed because of the condition. The waitstaff called us "friends" but it was very fake. The chips were stiff and had poor flavor, but the kids ate them and then the basket was never refilled. The salsa is good but there is no mild option for those that aren't into hot salsa. I ordered a combination plate of enchilada, tamale, and taco with rice and beans. Everything was so flavorless!! The rice and beans were nothing to write home about, the tamale had too much masa and it was bland, bland, bland! Honestly the taco was the best part, the shell had good crunch and the ground beef was flavored well. My husband didn't even finish half of his combination plate of two tamales, rice and beans. My kids got the chips with melted cheese on top for an appetizer and the chips were brown and the cheese over cooked. If you are looking for Mexican, keep going! It's not even worthy of an "eat it because you're desperate for Mexican" stop. read more

Great GREAT place to eat! I always come down to Marshall just to get a taste of good Mexican! This restaurant has been in service for over ten years and so far they are doing excellent! Lola and Rosa give great service always making us laugh we come in. The food is exceptional and fantastic. For a small restaurant it sure does impress. I am giving them only 2 stars because I couldn't find a menu online and then the guy told me that it doesn't matter how much you spend, they will only deliver if you buy 2 "BIG" meals. I don't that qualifies as delivery. That's more like event (or office meetings) catering. Not delivery. Before today I would have said: Their food is hot and made to order. Food is pretty filling. Chips and salsa are free and very good. The chips and salsa are both handmade. Margaritas are excellent, but aren't they always? Lol. food comes out fast. Atmosphere is great for a date, friends, family, and kids. The restaurant itself is clean. This is a great place to go when you want a sit-down good meal without breaking the bank!
