They also have a small Friends of the library section inside the main library. Outside are a few drive up drop boxes to return books. There are also some nice monument/memorials outside the entrance.

The staff has always been helpful if I need assistance, and the ceiling windows make it look extra clean and open. My favorite feature is the two drop off boxes in the parking lot. I don't have to get out of my car to return materials and I love the convenience of that.

I noticed a small outside area from inside, which would be very nice to sit on a non summer day. Parking is plentiful, and they even have an electric charging station to use during open library hours.

There were plenty of computers, seats, and table seating throughout, which gave it a functional feel. If you want more privacy, you can request a quiet room. After picking up the dvd from the hold section, I walked around and chose a few more movies to watch. I wish I could borrow some cds, but my vehicle is not equipped with a cd player. Oh how I miss those good old days. Venturing to other Broward County libraries are interesting. Despite the world's shift toward digitalization, it is appreciated that the libraries are still offering their resources to the community.

This is the closest library to home and we have come here for nearly two decades. They have made great strides at keeping it clean inside and out. The books (including a Spanish language collection), reading materials and DVD selection is well organized. In addition to the 100-seat room for meetings, they have a computer room for adults with space for a couple dozen people. Years ago, I spent many hours there and it was quiet enough that you could flow in your thoughts to write. Moreover, they've added computers so more children can work on iReady and play educational games. There isn't a time I've walked in here that there aren't a number of tutors helping children and adults alike. The staff is helpful and there is a guard who assists them, which is an added bonus in the afternoons when the students from the nearby Middle/High School start coming in. In addition to the parking spaces in the front (facing Commercial Blvd.), there is parking in the side and rear of the lake that divides the library from the Tamarac Community Center. The center itself allows ample light to flow through and the lobby space plenty of space to socialize pre- and post-show. The auditorium space was extremely comfortable, had plenty of room to move within the rows, and felt connected with the performance I saw (well done to the New Canon Chamber Collective for the Remember the Times show), with the sound and lighting adding to the experience. The staff deserves commendations (and raises), certainly. In summary, if you're attending a performance here, you're in for splendid time!

I have been to the Pompano Cultural Center many times. Everytime was for their monthly jazz show…read morethey put on. I think in many states this would be a premier spot for jazz, but especially in South Florida. We are short on jazz options, but not if you can make it to Pompano. It's every 2nd Thursday of the month. The fella who puts it to gether is a mainstay. He's a increible on guitar. the drums is a regular as well, very good. And they and different line ups dependign on the month and who they have that set. We have heard many different mixes. This last week when we caught the show, there was a new guy that was great on bass. There was also a fella who played sax, and really had some nice solos on clarinet. I should add before and after the show you can check out the galleries and art that's displayed there. Upstairs there are artists in residence that you can watch them at their craft as well. It's a great spot to hear music and art, all in one.

She went back to her work and looked put off by the interruption . This was advertised on the library web site . We went upstairs to the reference and asked again this time it was a kind gentleman who did the search and said that grant finished . Too bad I did not know about this until afterwards or I would haves used it . The library was having an art show of Bad ass women musicians photography by Deise Jefinny . Her work was interesting and we did get to chat with her a while . Come visit your local library for some great books .

Upon entering, you are on the ground floor where you can find the check-out desk, youth services & teens area, a computer center, study rooms, a vast selection of children's books, audio books, CDs, and DVDs. The second floor has a vast selection of adult fiction/non-fiction books, biographies, magazines & newspapers, a small computer center, and numerous seating with charging outlets. The library provides a quiet atmosphere to chill, network, or work on tasks. Staff are friendly.
