MLK Monument unveling ceremony on Jan. 15, 2016, a historic day/event in Coral Springs at Broward NW Regional Library.

Rude woman, as per usual, working the Computer Room. With covid, customers have to go through her to get assigned a computer. You have to stand behind a line and TELL HER your library card number. She likes to start out saying the number so she says "D0" to everyone. If you pickup with the numbers after D0, though, she can't keep up so I ended up telling her from the beginning even the D0 part she has memorized. She'll offer wipes from a big dispenser supply but if you grasp more than twice to collect your wipe because an entire wipe does not easily dispense out of there she will catch an attitude and say "that's enough" in a nasty way as if to accuse the customer of stealing the wipes. Computer and printer worked today. I hate the rudeness each and every time here. Much security. I looked up towards the ceiling on way out from library foyer and saw a (security) guard.

This is My first time here and it's not too bad. The library is clean and I was able to find a vacant table easily. I made the mistake of coming after 2:30 pm so there are a lot of kids as they all get out of school around that time so downstairs was pretty noisy but upstairs is where everyone seems to be studying and getting tutoring so it's much calm here. Nice place to get some work done. I'm doing a dissertation so I needed somewhere where I can focus on my work and this is not bad at all. I usually do work at Starbucks but it can get a bit noisy sometimes but I don't mind switching spots now and then. So all I all im satisfied with this library .

We are lucky to have such a public library located in Coral Springs. Parking can be a little trying sometimes, especially if Broward County Schools are in session. Q: How do you rate a Public Library? It is located in a convenient spot, it is a very well maintained building, has somewhat new periodicals and the service is what you expect from an public institution. (Okay) ~ with the dawn of the internet, people really do not use "libraries" as their main research venue. It is a shame, but we must support our community until technology catches up to Broward County Public Library business model. (who knows) At least get yourself an "old fashion" library card just in case technology has a "hiccup". Hours: Monday - Wednesday: 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday - Sunday: 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Cheers!

It was a very large space with many organized shelves displaying a vast genre of books, dvds, cds, and audio books. There were plenty of computers, seats, and table seating throughout, which gave it a functional feel. If you want more privacy, you can request a quiet room. After picking up the dvd from the hold section, I walked around and chose a few more movies to watch. I wish I could borrow some cds, but my vehicle is not equipped with a cd player. Oh how I miss those good old days. Venturing to other Broward County libraries are interesting. Despite the world's shift toward digitalization, it is appreciated that the libraries are still offering their resources to the community.

This is the closest library to home and we have come here for nearly two decades. They have made great strides at keeping it clean inside and out. The books (including a Spanish language collection), reading materials and DVD selection is well organized. In addition to the 100-seat room for meetings, they have a computer room for adults with space for a couple dozen people. Years ago, I spent many hours there and it was quiet enough that you could flow in your thoughts to write. Moreover, they've added computers so more children can work on iReady and play educational games. There isn't a time I've walked in here that there aren't a number of tutors helping children and adults alike. The staff is helpful and there is a guard who assists them, which is an added bonus in the afternoons when the students from the nearby Middle/High School start coming in. In addition to the parking spaces in the front (facing Commercial Blvd.), there is parking in the side and rear of the lake that divides the library from the Tamarac Community Center. Following are their hours of operation: Monday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Thursday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Friday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Saturday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Sunday: CLOSED

As the times changed, so did my library habits, but libraries, including this Broward County Library branch in Margate, is just as useful as ever. Okay, so honestly I came to get a new card so I could connect it online to get audiobooks. I wasn't planning on checking books out, but that being said, since I had to go inside to get the card, I figured I might as well look around. The librarian who helped me get a new card was very pleasant. A library card is $1.50 (CASH ONLY). The library is on the smaller side, but still effective. A large variety of magazines, DVD's, CD's, a few computers to use, a copy machine, and all your typical selections of books in the dewey decimal system, which to be clear, I'm not sure is in use anymore. I was pleasantly surprised as to how many people were inside which kind of warmed my heart; knowing there is still a need for libraries is a great thing. It may not be the biggest or brightest library, a little outdated, yes, but still a great library none-the-less.
