She went back to her work and looked put off by the interruption . This was advertised on the library web site . We went upstairs to the reference and asked again this time it was a kind gentleman who did the search and said that grant finished . Too bad I did not know about this until afterwards or I would haves used it . The library was having an art show of Bad ass women musicians photography by Deise Jefinny . Her work was interesting and we did get to chat with her a while . Come visit your local library for some great books .

Upon entering, you are on the ground floor where you can find the check-out desk, youth services & teens area, a computer center, study rooms, a vast selection of children's books, audio books, CDs, and DVDs. The second floor has a vast selection of adult fiction/non-fiction books, biographies, magazines & newspapers, a small computer center, and numerous seating with charging outlets. The library provides a quiet atmosphere to chill, network, or work on tasks. Staff are friendly.

I have been to the Pompano Cultural Center many times. Everytime was for their monthly jazz show…read morethey put on. I think in many states this would be a premier spot for jazz, but especially in South Florida. We are short on jazz options, but not if you can make it to Pompano. It's every 2nd Thursday of the month. The fella who puts it to gether is a mainstay. He's a increible on guitar. the drums is a regular as well, very good. And they and different line ups dependign on the month and who they have that set. We have heard many different mixes. This last week when we caught the show, there was a new guy that was great on bass. There was also a fella who played sax, and really had some nice solos on clarinet. I should add before and after the show you can check out the galleries and art that's displayed there. Upstairs there are artists in residence that you can watch them at their craft as well. It's a great spot to hear music and art, all in one.

The center itself allows ample light to flow through and the lobby space plenty of space to socialize pre- and post-show. The auditorium space was extremely comfortable, had plenty of room to move within the rows, and felt connected with the performance I saw (well done to the New Canon Chamber Collective for the Remember the Times show), with the sound and lighting adding to the experience. The staff deserves commendations (and raises), certainly. In summary, if you're attending a performance here, you're in for splendid time!

It has been a very long time since I visited this branch and nothing much has changed. The parking area was still small with limited spaces. You have the option to enter the library using the elevator or stairs. The interior of the library remained spacious, quiet, and organized offering audio books, books, DVDs and CDs to check out. The few staff members that were there was helpful and friendly. I was able able to use the computer for 60 minutes and printed a couple of offers from my email account.

I usually go to the Deerfield library filled with smelly patrons, loud children and kind librarians. Even though the Boca library was beautiful everyone who worked there was kind of rude. Maybe they were having a bad day or did not want to help me print my paper. It cost me $.80 and seemed to be a bit of an annoyance for the people working there, I definitely will not be back. Not everyone who worked there was unpleasant but from now on, I will stay in Broward where the employees are nice.

There are tons of engaging stations within this room, which was so nice to see. This is a great place to go. When it's too hot outside for the playground, my son loves it.

As the times changed, so did my library habits, but libraries, including this Broward County Library branch in Margate, is just as useful as ever. Okay, so honestly I came to get a new card so I could connect it online to get audiobooks. I wasn't planning on checking books out, but that being said, since I had to go inside to get the card, I figured I might as well look around. The librarian who helped me get a new card was very pleasant. A library card is $1.50 (CASH ONLY). The library is on the smaller side, but still effective. A large variety of magazines, DVD's, CD's, a few computers to use, a copy machine, and all your typical selections of books in the dewey decimal system, which to be clear, I'm not sure is in use anymore. I was pleasantly surprised as to how many people were inside which kind of warmed my heart; knowing there is still a need for libraries is a great thing. It may not be the biggest or brightest library, a little outdated, yes, but still a great library none-the-less.

With the help of Yelp search, it found the nearest Broward County library from me--Deerfield Beach Perry White Public Library. It was a large space with many organized shelves displaying a vast genre of books, DVDs, CDs, and audio books. There were plenty of computers, study rooms for privacy, and seats. The children's area was on the right side of the library while the adults area was on the other side. The library was partially full of patrons and it was fairly quiet. I approached the check out desk and returned the borrowed item. I definitely would like to return to this library whenever I'm around the area.
