It is a very nice venue- easy parking and right next door to city hall. It is a decent size theatre but a lot of the shows do not fill up at all. The building also houses the public library and the arts and cultural center. I went to see The Secret Comedy of Women" which was fun and interactive with the audience. You can purchase a soft drink or bar drink during intermission, go to their step and repeat or just stay in your seat! Good place to check out that supports cultural events in South Florida!

I really liked this venue. It's easy to get to and parking is ample. As it's brand new, everything is sparkling clean and neat. You walk past the attached library to the entrance facing Atlantic boulevard. The ticket office is downstairs. If you've already purchased your tickets, you can either walk up or take the elevator us to the second floor for the theater. Before the show, and during intermission, they sell water, soda, beer and wine plus snacks right outside. You can wander through the art gallery while waiting to enter as well. The theater itself is changeable. The night we went, there were a few cabaret tables in the very front. Behind them were numbers and tiered seats. It's a relatively small venue -- I think 450, maybe. All are good to see the show. We had excellent seats -- on the end of the second row, in the middle. The sound system was fine. I'd certainly come back to this intimate venue.

I was lured in on a Saturday afternoon by the new painted fish out front. I had been meaning to pay a visit but when I saw those fish I had to stop and take some pictures. The exhibit is called "Schools of Art" and they are an installation from the city's public arts program. They are out front until mid May when they will be separated and moved throughout the city. If you are in the area stop by and see them while they are all together because are Instagram worthy. Once I finished my pictures I headed instead to take a look around. To the left of the entrance is the brand new library. I didn't have time to look around but I was told it was state of art with a digital media center with a TV with a green screen and an audio and video recording studio. This is what my daughter is studying in college so we have definite plans to spend some time in there this summer. To the right is the entrance to the cultural center. The first floor had the box office and meeting rooms. The second floor led up a steep flight of steps to a 750 foot art gallery and a 5,000 square foot theater that hosts dance, music, and theater performances. It's free to look around the art gallery and tickets for the theater can be purchased downstairs atthe box office. The Cultural Center is a great addition to the arts in Pompano. After your visit here you can take a walk across the street to BaCA to see artists at work. I love that Pompano is expanding it's art offerings. I look forward to taking in some performances this summer.

This is a Beautiful modern building that has recently been built in our neighborhood. Part of the building is our new public library the other part is our art and cultural center which has many different events during the year such as plays and concerts. My family and I are avid readers so I choose to go to different libraries purchase books and then go to a different library and donate them back for others to enjoy. There is plenty of free parking in their new parking lot. They also have different workshop activities for adults and children. One of the workshops is becoming an American documentary film and discussion series on our immigration experience. They invite local authors to come and spotlight their work. Come visit our new center and you will enjoy it as much as we do.

This is a fairly new Art & Event Center. It's a beautiful architectural building. They have many great activities for kids and adults. They have the nice stage for all their lives show performances they have throughout the year. There's plenty of free parking for everyone and it's easy accessible from 95 and Atlantic Boulevard.I've been to a couple events here that were nice.I'm going to try and go to one of there live performances soon. So glad Pompano Beach built this new center it adds more entertainment to the city.

She went back to her work and looked put off by the interruption . This was advertised on the library web site . We went upstairs to the reference and asked again this time it was a kind gentleman who did the search and said that grant finished . Too bad I did not know about this until afterwards or I would haves used it . The library was having an art show of Bad ass women musicians photography by Deise Jefinny . Her work was interesting and we did get to chat with her a while . Come visit your local library for some great books .

As the times changed, so did my library habits, but libraries, including this Broward County Library branch in Margate, is just as useful as ever. Okay, so honestly I came to get a new card so I could connect it online to get audiobooks. I wasn't planning on checking books out, but that being said, since I had to go inside to get the card, I figured I might as well look around. The librarian who helped me get a new card was very pleasant. A library card is $1.50 (CASH ONLY). The library is on the smaller side, but still effective. A large variety of magazines, DVD's, CD's, a few computers to use, a copy machine, and all your typical selections of books in the dewey decimal system, which to be clear, I'm not sure is in use anymore. I was pleasantly surprised as to how many people were inside which kind of warmed my heart; knowing there is still a need for libraries is a great thing. It may not be the biggest or brightest library, a little outdated, yes, but still a great library none-the-less.

It was a very large space with many organized shelves displaying a vast genre of books, dvds, cds, and audio books. There were plenty of computers, seats, and table seating throughout, which gave it a functional feel. If you want more privacy, you can request a quiet room. After picking up the dvd from the hold section, I walked around and chose a few more movies to watch. I wish I could borrow some cds, but my vehicle is not equipped with a cd player. Oh how I miss those good old days. Venturing to other Broward County libraries are interesting. Despite the world's shift toward digitalization, it is appreciated that the libraries are still offering their resources to the community.

This is the closest library to home and we have come here for nearly two decades. They have made great strides at keeping it clean inside and out. The books (including a Spanish language collection), reading materials and DVD selection is well organized. In addition to the 100-seat room for meetings, they have a computer room for adults with space for a couple dozen people. Years ago, I spent many hours there and it was quiet enough that you could flow in your thoughts to write. Moreover, they've added computers so more children can work on iReady and play educational games. There isn't a time I've walked in here that there aren't a number of tutors helping children and adults alike. The staff is helpful and there is a guard who assists them, which is an added bonus in the afternoons when the students from the nearby Middle/High School start coming in. In addition to the parking spaces in the front (facing Commercial Blvd.), there is parking in the side and rear of the lake that divides the library from the Tamarac Community Center. Following are their hours of operation: Monday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Tuesday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Wednesday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Thursday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Friday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Saturday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Sunday: CLOSED
