Anchovies

Solid food. Less than 20min wait on a Friday night as a walk - on Valentine's Day too! Friendly service. Solid food. Got anchovies starter and bolognese as a main. Pasta dish was solid but not wow. Anchovies were fine but too salty for my preference. Nice vibe and conveniently located near my hotel at Hotel Paisano.

If you go to Marfa,TX you have to eat here. Delicious! We tried almost everything in the menu.

Husband and I came for dinner on Saturday night about 45min before closing. Normally there's a line for this place, but we were able to get a spot for two at the bar walking in. Lights are low, but the design gives the restaurant a homey vibe. I love the tie-dye napkins! Service is quick and excellent. You can ask for your food all at once or as soon as it's ready. The food is absolutely delicious! We shared and appetizer, main dish and side dish which was enough for both of us. The only issue was the burrata toast. Unfortunately ours was very burnt on the bottom. Overall, I was come back for a decent meal in Marfa.

THE BIG: Right on the main strip, you can't miss the neon green lit sign and the green door right in front. Nice cozy spot inside that serves a wide array of wines. THE BLACK AND WHITE: The wife and I came here after a long hiking day at Big Bend and in search of some good food. Marfa is still a tiny town and food selection is limited. We ordered the spaghetti bolognese, the cheese toast, and the yams. All came out pretty quickly and they tasted good, but it seemed like something I could have easily made at home. Regardless the ambiance and vibes made it for a nice dining experience out. THE FINAL BAMBOO: Overall the damage done for 3 dishes was around $45. The food was good and definitely worth a try if you're in Marfa.

This is a popular place. From the minimalist interior to the extensive wine list to the comfort food menu, it's a joy to spend time here. My meal of an incredible cucumber salad (that I would eagerly want to make at home), salmon, and key lime pie was a great finish to an amazing day in one of my favorite little towns.

This place was a delight, both in terms of food and service! The place was hopping but we were seated right away and our server was friendly and attentive. The menu is quite varied and surprising! Try the warm olives, the deviled eggs, and anything else you might think of as odd--the food is great! This is a place we would return to. After our disappointing experience at the (seemingly) more upscale Bar Saint George--don't waste your time and money there--it was fortunate we found Margaret's. Go there now!

This is the place you want in your neighborhood. The West Texas posh hipster vibe is thick here, but the food is damn delicious. And the service was on point both times we visited here. There are some unusual selections here that you can't go wrong with. This is like upscale diner food. And the portions are huge. You can see all we ate on my pics - what stood out to me were the Tuna Melt and the veggie sides. The tuna melt was as packed with tuna salad goodness as two slices of bread could support, and then some. It was full of flavor and not mayo, which was a relief. The roasted cauliflower and grilled carrots sides were superb. If you know of someone who is a finicky veggie eater, these sides would convert them instantly. Other stand outs were the deviled eggs and Eggplant Parmesan. Everything stood out, in fact. You can even get an ice cold Lone Star here. I wish this was closer to where I live.

Margaret's is the whole package: ambiance, quality food, and great service. At first, the limited menu was off-putting, but it ended up being perfect! We had the pickled eggs, warm tuna sandwich, and roasted carrots. Wow! It exceeded my expectations! The carrots were my favorite of all, right up until the dessert. The Key Lime pie was so delicious. One of the best I've had. I only wished I'd gotten my own piece! I had to share with my husband and and I wanted more, lol! Such a great vibe, also. We sat in the window seat and had a great view of the happenings outside. It was so great! I highly recommend Margaret's to you!

What a find. As I've mentioned, there are not metropolitan options in small-town Marfa. However, there are some excellent choices and Margaret's should be at the top of your list. I knew it the second I saw the front of the place. Understated but, with attention to design detail. Again, when you walk in the feeling of being on a 1940s film set overtakes you. The combination of design, layout, and lighting is fantastic. I was immediately at ease and couldn't wait to see the offerings. Although there is not a lot of seating, the space feels much larger than it is, without being cavernous. To the right as you enter is a large u shaped counter you can sit at and that's what we did. Again, the design elicits a 1940s roadside diner in a small town. So, I guess they got it right because that's exactly what it is. The preparation of the food while simple is taken to another level. You can literally gaze around the restaurant watching people have a moment with their food. The couple next to me at the counter systematically shared several dishes one at a time as to enjoy each bite. Small menu, and powerful choices. Oh, and did I mention, the prices for what you receive are astonishingly reasonable? You have no choice when in Marfa. You must... Go!!

Food and service were fantastic. Great ambiance. Loved the tapenade on the halloumi. Wish we had room for key lime pie.

Food is good, employees nice prices are not overpriced. Very popular so may have to wait for tables as place is small.

Love this super chill spot. The deviled eggs are my go to. And don't miss out on the side of carrots with whatever you order! Very tasty!
