This theater was amazing when it first came out. Now, compared to the AMC's in KC and the home theater experiences you can buy for cheap, this place is not much. We went and saw Deadpool 2. Pretty funny movie, but the seats were broken. The popcorn looked old and stale, we didn't buy any. Everything had a kind of sticky vibe to it. The arcade had a couple broken machines; we didn't play anything but checked it out. It's an old theater. It's kind of fun because you're on vacation, but most of positive memories here are simply nostalgic value. Don't come expecting the same quality you'd get in a big city.

If they didn't have that I am not sure it would stay afloat. Here you have to buy directly at the ticket counter or prepaid online, but no assigned seats so you need to go early or you risk not being sat with your group. The screen rooms are not stadium seating so its a slight lower slope. A seat in the back at this place is actually the best. The seats are leather material but do not recline or have any features like adjustable arm rests -- just a comfy chair. The concessions are mid and lack luster so I recommend eating before your film and just enjoy a box of candy and slushy there if you need to. For accessibility it's decent with the accessibility parking on the side. They need automatic doors. The bathroom smelled awful so I just washed my hands and got out.

The employees were friendly as we entered the foyer and helped us select our seats; however, they then informed us that "because it's a free showing masks are required". I paused and considered this information. I walked away in frustration, but ended up going back to ask for clarification questions. I got confirmation that if I PAY for a ticket to watch a movie, I would have the freedom to not wear a mask, but when there's no MONEY involved, apparently the science changes and suddenly masks are required to save everyone's lives. I won't start a debate over the validity of masks on this review, that's not the point. The issue I have is that they "recommend" masks for paying customers and "require" masks for non-paying customers. I imagine they'd be hard pressed to explain the "science" behind that decision. Again... employees were pleasant; policies... not. I will never return.

They show independent movies, movies that the regular theaters don't show and foreign films. They also have movies from the 1950s ~ 2000s that are must see movies. It is a wonderful environment and I highly recommend. They serve popcorn, wine, beer and soda as well as candy and Askinosie Chocolate.
