It feels good and relaxing to pump here. Today the cheapest regular was $5.00 a gallon. Was speaking to a woman who used to come here and now pumps her new BMW at Costco. She says it's about 40 to 50 cents less at Costco and her dad told her Costco is okay for gas. Maybe I will switch to Costco? That sounds like big savings. Is Costco safe gasoline?

Off Crown Valley onto Forbes the immediate right into Chevron. It's a fast entrance since you're coming off Crown. There's only a small apron before you get to the all one way pump lanes. I went to the far right pumps. I usually fill at 17-18 gallons so it takes a few minutes to get gas. When I pulled in there was a car in front of me - no driver. To the right are two in-line parking spaces one of which had a car with blinged out plate frame. The way these cars were positioned I could not get around. I walked to the front entrance to find either driver. There is a white railing outside with a female employee ( she had an employee name badge on)talking to a man. I asked her who the dark car in the pumps ahead of was and she told me to back up and pull through another lane. RUDE!! She told me it was one way. Thank you Einstein! I was headed to an appointment so I didn't have time to deal with this. So I had to reverse my truck onto the small apron and go around. I was imagining someone pulling in and not seeing me reversing. If you want to be treated rudely after spending 85.00 this is the place for you!

I had never been to this location before and was a little stunned by the rude response, so just looked at him and said "what sign?" He didn't show me the sign but instead started raising his voice telling to follow the sign or get out. I asked if he was OK and he proceeded to raise his voice and tell me to get out or follow the sign. I tried to calmly explain that I've never been here before and that I was coming from the hospital next-door, but he just cut me off. Told me "everyone has a story "and again told me to follow the sign or get out. Not sure what was going on with him, but regardless, this is unacceptable behavior when dealing with customers.

It's RIGHT off of the 5 freeway at Avery Parkway, and you rarely have to wait for a gas portal to open up. Is that what they call 'em? I don't know, but because there is a Mobil station right across the way, there's always plenty of space for cars of all shapes and sizes to fill up before hitting that long stretch of nothingness through Camp Pendleton. Additionally, the station itself is really clean, and I can actually trust the food and hot beverages at this location... unlike most other gas stations where you question the last time that slimy pot of coffee was brewed. If you're driving home through Orange County, or driving north for that matter, it's worth stopping by... especially if you're in a hurry. Jeff Q. who was standing at the next cash register saw me and said " are you just gonna stand there?" There was no line where he was, but I really thought it was a closed register, this was early in the morning, not busy at all. I was shocked he was talking to me in that tone of voice, and then he said, "you can stand there if you want, it's ok with me". All I could say was "I didn't know you were open". So he rang me up, I paid and then I had to put my stuff back in the shopping cart. Other Costco stores that I've been to will put my groceries back in the basket.
