If you know what you need and it's a pretty common part you can find it here at about 2/3 the amount of time it would take you to find it and check out in the super sized hardware store. Not to mention someone will be ready to help you in about 2 shakes of a lambs tale. I have some nightmare stories about our local Home Depot but I won't get into that right now... I mean I get it, it's Stockton and people just walk out with stuff but it's like the treat you like you are a potential criminal already...and that's after about 20 minutes of waiting for some poor schmuck that got the holiday weekend and 5 people already called in "sick". In short this place has nearly everything for common jobs and the customer service is top notch. They are local, born and raised in Stockton and you have to respect that. I try to head here first unless it's something that I truly need to step into that madness called H.D. We are lucky to have this place so close to the hood and I will continue to support that as long as I am a Stocktonian! PS: Grab a pie on your way out!

Today, I needed 3 things. I like that you walk in, tell a Worker what you need and You are now feeling like you're getting some sort of royal treatment. I like to feel spoiled Bath tub handles, command hooks and a S hook is what was needed. I told the young man, Jacob, what I needed and why ( he didn't ask why but I like to give tmi) He was beyond helpful. Knew where everything was. I let him know I'm glad I came in and was helped by him Humbly, he said that meant alot to him especially because it's his second week there.

It was a little busy for a Thursday afternoon but not too bad. They helped me right away with my pruning supplies. ended up walking out with a Hickok pruner $72 bucks. Brand new and cuts so easy. I ended up spending a while in the store walking around each aisle because they have so much stuff and some decent prices when it comes to cleaning supplies. It's nothing like a dollar tree or 99cents only store. It's definitely a 99cents PLUS. Family run business. But the prices are good and you'll end up walking out with more than what you planned.

I asked the owner of Country Boys if he knew anything about 98Cents Plus... "A little expensive. Not a 99Cent Only store. They acquired some of the inventory from an Ace Hardware which closed." That piqued my interest right there... as Ace carried quality merchandise... I bike over to 98Cents Plus after Breakfast... a little sketchy, run-down establishment. Nowhere to park my Bicycle, asked them if I could park the Bike inside the doorway... OK. This place, run by two Oriental Ladies, carries everything... including the Kitchen Sink! Bicycle Rims mostly BMX, Gloves, an assortment of Hardware... if you're looking for something esoteric, you'll probably find it here in a dark nook of the store... somewhere. What I left with was a pair of Bypass Pruners BP80 made by The Organic Company (out of Turlock, CA), made in Taiwan, for $7.89. This is one quality Pruner! When I got back home, I performed some research on this product on the Internet... best price $10.00. A Competitor to 99 Cent Only Stores? Nope. Rather a competitor to Harbor Freight on Waterloo Rd, with better quality Hardware items.
