Ordered two pizzas tonight, a custom 2-topp and a specialty. Pizza makers followed the special instructions accurately with attention to detail. Pizzas came out fresh while I waited. Sadly, I got home to discover that one of the pizzas in our order was mistakenly switched out with another customer's. Even more sadly, the missing pie was the special preference of our 4 year old, who, being already sick and exhausted, promptly began weeping at the surprising absence of his anticipated pepperoni pizza. To our good fortune, manager Chris was professional and accommodating in making things right. In the end, lo and behold! we had a frozen pepperoni pizza buried in our chest freezer, so the evening ended rather satisfactorily! We'll certainly be returning before too long! read more

Driving through SD and looking for a quick bite, we came across this spot with good reviews and decided to give it a try. We walked up to the counter to order and chose to dine in. The place is fairly small with some seating available and was reasonably clean. The staff was friendly when taking our order, and it seemed to be a popular spot for pick-up orders. Our food came out pretty quickly. The pizza was decent, but I was secretly hoping for something that matched what we had on a previous trip to UT--it just didn't quite hit the same. This is one of those reviews where I feel the food is a 3 star but I'm giving it a 4 star rating based on the experience as a whole. Price was very decent. Tons of options, website was easy to navigate. Staff was friendly. With my go to pizza place (Pizza Shop) closed for the night, I decided on Marcos. They say they don't use frozen dough, same sauce recipe since the 70s. So I ordered a Pepperoni Magnifico for the wife and I and a pineapple pizza for the kids. On my Dave Portnoy pizza scale, it's a 6.3. On my Sioux Falls pizza restaurant scale, it's at 7.7. Sioux Falls seriously lacks in quality pizza restaurants. The pepperoni pizza was decent enough. Needs more flavor. Very bland. I did like all the cheese on the crust though. Pineapple pizza was decent enough. I do like my pizzas crisper as these were on the softer side. But when my go to pizza place is closed, I got no reservations about going to Marcos. read more

Here's a tip for your delivery drivers: If you find knocking at a door when delivering a pizza too daunting, then you're not competent, and you need to find another line of work. My dog usually goes nuts when someone drops off a package. Being as stealthy as possible, is not a virtue when delivering pizzas in sub-freezing temperatures, in case any socially-reticent imbeciles need to be apprised of that incredibly obvious fact. I've been here 2x now and I like their pizza. I like their sauce it's light, not thick like a paste or too tangy. Good amount of cheese. Tasty crust. Friendly staff both times I've been there for takeout. I've tried their regular crust and their thin crust pizza now. Both are good. The thin crust is very thin, but kind of crisp. My family and I think of Marcos as a special treat. We love the flavor of the sauce and their deals of the day for a large special and large two topping makes feeding everyone fairly priced. tonight our pizza was not to the normal Marcos standard. after debating with my wife we decided to give a short phone call just to make sure management was aware of the slip ups. without a doubt their response was phenomenal, the manager was kind and not short or mad but listened and asked questions about our experience and then lined out the direct actions that would be taken to ensure their normal process would be followed and their excellent standard maintained. This is probably one of the better pizza delivery places in town that we have come across so far. Prompt delivery with friendly drivers. When picking up my order, though it can be hectic because they always seem busy at the time I arrive, they handle everything fairly well. My only complaint regarding Marco's as a whole is that their prices are higher than other locations in town for delivery pizza. $18 for a large specialty, with delivery and taxes it ends up almost $23 for one pizza. If there isn't a deal going on or if we don't have a coupon we can use, we generally will sadly skip Marco's. A lg. plain cheese will start you off at $11.99 with each topping adding an additional $1.75) Haven't had a bad crust from here yet (nothing sucks worse than ended up with half baked pizza dough) and the sauce is a thicker style that is seasoned well. read more

I decided to order a take out pizza and bread sticks tonight, because of the great reviews. It's a Friday at 6:30 so busy was to be expected. I arrived at the store about 20 minutes after ordering. the online order said 15 to 25 minutes, so when i got to the counter after a short wait, I wasn't totally surprised to hear that it would be a few minutes. So I stepped off to the side after signing my receipt from the online order to wait for my pizza. After a few minutes, the staff was asking for a few names that weren't me, but those people weren't there either. Several more minutes went by and the gentleman running the counter came over to me and handed me a zeroed out receipt for my order, saying that I had waited too long. I was absolutely floored by this customer service, I had waited awhile, but hadn't even complained and they gave me my order for free. I got home with the pizza and cheese bread sticks, and they were hot and delicious. The UNO is an amazing pie. I may never order pizza from anywhere else. I was so happy with how they handled the situation and the food was great. Hopefully next time everything goes smoothly with the order, I just don't want Marco's to go out of business, by giving away too many pizzas. read more

The two stars were for good tasting food. The three empty stars are for the shift manager who was totaling clueless and not helpful at all. A delivery order I placed showed a 45 minute expected delivery time which seemed excessive. I called the store to see if it was ready. She insisted I called the wrong store and said she did not have any orders for delivery. She never asked my name or what I ordered. It was delivered 1/2 hour early. read more

I'm here on business; ordered delivery from my hotel... The food was fantastic. I absolutely loved the Deluxe Uno, Thin Crust! I mean wow!! However, the delivery was inaccurate... I bought hot wings, so of course I asked for extra ranch and blue cheese with my order. Instead, I didn't receive ANY of the heat quenching sauces mentioned above. OUCH! Meh, I won't order from them again. It wasn't bad, it just wasn't that good. A few slices had the cheese sliding down because of the bubble crust. When a bubble in the crust is not popped, it forces all the cheese and toppings away. So two slices had 2 inches of cheese and 8 inches of crust. Taste wise? Again, not bad... just not good. Ordered 2 pizzas on super bowl Sunday. Paid with my debit card but forgot to cross off tip area on receipt (cuz I put a tip in their tip jar). Wrote down amount in checkbook...got bank statement and had been charged $4 more than the amount I signed for. Went back to Marcos, talked to the manager, she assured me, she would discuss this with her employee, and out of good faith would refund the tip and the cost of the pizzas. This was on Monday, today is Saturday, and nothing has been refunded! I look at it as this employee stole from me because I did not authorized her to add on a tip. My only complaint is the onion and peppers are cut too big to actually be able to cook in the time it takes to bake a pizza. While the veggies were warm, they tasted raw. I love pizza. So with that said, Marco has great pizza. My wife and I got a pepperoni pizza and the cheese bread and it was really good. The staff was really nice as well. However, for what you got for the price, you could get better somewhere else. The small pizza is $8 for cheese. Add about $1 for a topping and it goes up from there. All of the straws were dirty and the plates were dirty. My wife had to go through them to find a clean one. So the dining in wasn't that great, but I'm sure the delivery would be good. Good food good selections. Stumbled across this location one day, having never had Marco's before I was pleased with the food. Every pizza place has a different take on the sauce and seasonings and Marcos quality is above average. You get your money's worth. The parking lot is a pain and getting in and out during high traffic times is the only reason for the three stars. read more
