*1 Star -- Does not match the hype. We won't be back.*…read more We visited Joe's New York Pizza and it was worse than mediocre. Main dining room was not busy, yet we were walked straight through it and parked in the bar without being asked. Cold, not personable, no greeting coming or going. Server was just OK. My wife paid $23 for a 10" gluten-free pizza. I had the buffet -- pizza was soggy, horribly staged to look fresh, very little choice. Salad bar was not maintained -- no ranch, cucumbers down to the dregs. I asked the cashier for ranch, she refilled the same empty container and ignored the empty cucumbers, I got the scraps. Water and tea -- bill was $42 before tip, and we always tip regardless. For $42 you expect fresh pizza and a kept salad bar. We got old buffet pizza presented like it was great. Reading the other reviews vs. the reception and food we got, I don't get it -- our experience was nowhere near what is advertised. Felt padded. Save your money.

Your Pie offers customizable toppings, made-to-order pizzas, all cooked quickly in a brick oven!…read moreThis venue is right downtown on the edge of campus and I've enjoyed everything I've ordered. How does it set itself apart from other fast-casual pizza chains offering this same mode? There's a mini bar, variety of TVs, and--my personal choice--gelato! I also was happy to find they offer wings (although they're most likely the pre-breaded, semi-cooked variety; see picture). I witnessed the staff putting the wings in a circular, to-go tin and popping 'em in the pizza oven as well. While they took a bit longer than my pizza, I was content with the result. The only questionable offering--Buffalo Bacon Jalapeño sauce. While *everything* about that title makes me excited to douse my poultry, the tase is ...not what you'd expect. Be happy to hear other's reactions, but I'm gonna pass next time. If you're used to MOD, Blaze, etc. you'll love Your Pie. Check it out!

While zipping along I-85 as Mrs. K. and I headed back toward Charlotte, I asked her what she wanted for dinner. Instead of saying "I don't know," she said, "How about Olive Garden?" I replied, "OK." No argument. For what it was, the experience was excellent. Parking was easy, the hostess greeted us warmly and seated us right away, the table was clean, and our waitress appeared promptly. The music was heavy on Frank Sinatra but not too loud. We ordered drinks and were ready to place our dinner order. Within minutes, the familiar big bowl of salad arrived along with breadsticks. Before we had finished the first serving of salad, our main courses were delivered. Mrs. K. chose the fettucine alfredo. The portion was generous, creamy, and visually appealing. Unfortunately, it was bland. As we have learned, this is not an Anderson SC problem. It is an Olive Garden problem. They simply do not season or salt very much, if at all. The pasta was cooked and presented well, but the flavor was missing. My main course was spaghetti and meatballs. The pasta itself had no flavor and was overcooked, but the meat sauce was surprisingly good. The three meatballs were nicely sized, tasty, and cooked properly. I enjoyed the dish and even used a second breadstick to mop up the sauce. Overall, Olive Garden met my expectations. It was decent, though bland. The service was excellent, the restaurant was comfortable, and perhaps I will visit another Olive Garden in another six years. [Review 1493 of 2025 - 1365 in South Carolina - 25046 overall]

We had a large party so we needed additional seating and table space. The manager comes over with an attitude telling us that the tables needed to be moved due to whatever reason. He then proceeds to move the tables less a foot from where our party had them. From there, I knew we'd have a problem. The waitress had already taken everyone else's drink orders, so we gave our drink orders. 2 waters, simple enough right? Wrong. I'm not sure if this waitress is new or just really timid. Remember this, it's important. Anywho, it took the 10 of no more than 20 minutes to know what we wanted. She came back to take our orders. And we explained which orders would be separate. We had to order ours to-go. More guests started rolling in. Two appetizers of spinach dip were then ordered. They came out rather timely. We noticed that tables after us were eating and we weren't. Our waitress seemed overstimulated, scared, and overworked. My daughter and I had to leave to get back on the road. By this time more than 30 minutes had gone by. People that had came after we arrived, were now leaving with their to-go boxes of food. My daughter's friend parents had had enough and they asked for the manager. The manager was beyond loud and very aggressive when the parents began asking where the food was. By this time, we waited an hour. We only had one server I didn't get his name, that showed concern as he tried to provide us assistance. Our seemingly aloof waitress now had an attitude when my daughter told her that we no longer wanted the food as we could no longer wait because we had to travel. Food magically began to appear, coming out one by one. As we got up to leave, we noted that some of the food had to be sent back. We most definitely felt discriminated against and I hate that our children had to experience this but this is ... South Carolina. I'm not sure how things went when we left but hopefully they were apologized to and their bills adjusted. I will not be going back nor would I recommend anyone else to.
