The last several Deluxe Pizzas we've ordered from Marco's Pizza have been notably less tasty than previously. We used to love their pizza because it was so moist, so tasty, but these last few times it has been much dryer and less tasty than earlier. It seems they have really cut back on the ingredients and you notice the difference the minute you open the lid of the box. The aroma used to be wonderful; now it's just ordinary. Several orders ago we thought we just caught them on a bad night, but we've continued to be disappointed with the dryness and less flavor with every succeeding order. Marcos pizza is typical chain pizza. It's fine, but I seem to have caught the staff at the Orem location on a bad day. We ordered a large "half and half" and some buffalo wings. I ran over when we were notified the pizza was ready but when I got there I was told they were just working on it. Fine. So I waited about 10 minutes when all of a sudden a worker picked up a pizza that had been there since I came in and ran over to me, saying "Sorry for the wait!" Once I got home I found that during the bake the pizza had developed a giant air bubble that pushed all the toppings off two whole slices. No attempt to fix it, but at least it was just barely warm when I got home. As I said, maybe just a bad day, but the pizza just isn't worth trying again. read more

Ordered delivery, but our pizza was never delivered. The store manager said there is nothing they could do so we are without a pizza and they didn't offer to refund us either. Terrible customer service, zero accountability, and and they had the audacity to give me attitude when I told them simply that I would leave a negative review. read more

The first time we came here was pre-COVID. We were going to dine in. Bad idea. After getting the pizza and other things in the carry out boxes they didn't even have any silverware for the food. They were totally indifferent about providing any way to eat the food in the restaurant. This trip we did carry out. That worked. The Old World Pepperoni -- meaning it has a casing and cups when it cooks. In parts of the country with a pizza culture, we call that Pepperoni. It's the way it's supposed to be. I think Marcos has good pizza, but they are totally unreliable. I ordered door dash and waited for 2 hours only to have them tell me it would t be coming at all. Today I ordered online for a 5:15 pickup and it's been 20 minutes and I'm still waiting for my pizza. Why did I order ahead if I was going to have to wait forever for my order??? I really like Marco's Pizza, and was happy to see them open this new location. The pizza tastes great, and there are tons of ways to customize it--they have 25 toppings, for Pete's sake! If that's not enough variety for you, they also serve sub sandwiches, wings, salads and more. Special mention needs to be made of their cheesybread. Sure, it sounds like the same old boring cheese bread you get at every other pizza joint. But here at Marco's, the dough is unique. It's light--almost fluffy, even--and it tastes fantastic. The pizza was good, but probably not great. A bit thin for "normal"; quite floppy. But outer crust was chewy and good. We ordered cinnamon sticks and the bottom of the paper tray they come in was DRIPPING with grease. To make matters worse, the grease tasted bad/off, leaving an unpleasant aftertaste; some form of seed oil to be sure. When I called in I immediately asked for a manager. I was polite, he was VERY apologetic and immediately offered replacement or refund. I chose refund. He said he would check the "butter" and make sure it was ok. I only WISH it were actual butter. He added a $5 coupon to my account which was very nice. Apologized profusely again. I appreciate the customer service. I don't appreciate that the guys making the pizza weren't wearing gloves. Food prep gloves are cheap and help prevent spreading illness...if used properly. read more

Be careful ordering from Marco's thru door dash. They will not help you if the order is wrong. They take no responsibility if you do not get what you ordered. I ordered a pizza and soda, I got the pizza, no soda. I called the restaurant, gave them a chance to fix it. I am stuck in a hotel for work, no way to get out. Matt seemed helpful until he learned that i ordered thru Door Dash then he was all, I can't help you because you ordered thru a third party. Pizza is great, but home delivery sucks. Online only gives a cryptic message usually, but this time it only said it would start giving cryptic info when I ordered it. I wait well past the half hour when I finally call. They said they have only one delivery person, but they don't know where he is or when he will be back!?!? I go to pick it up and mention that it must be cold. They do offer to make new ones that should take 10 minutes! My kid is cold in the car so I debate it until they offer to take half off. Horrible customer service! My husband and I took our 3 boys here tonight after their soccer game. We were going to dine in and had ordered 3 pizzas and drinks. I had to repeatedly ask for cups for our drinks. And then when the pizza was done they just yelled out our name and stuck it on their shelf as if it was a to go order. So I went up and go it. It's in the same genre of pizza as PJ's but a rung or two better made / better ingredients. And without so much sugar. Sometimes PJs is like candy and I hate that. The oven is hot enough. The bottom of the crust is properly seared, the toppings and crust are cooked through properly. It's amazing how many pizzerias can't manage this. The crust is on the generous side, which is to say that the pizza bones are big and chewy rather than thin and hard. They offer a free crust flavoring sorta like Howie's but with fewer options. We asked for garlic butter but the cook didn't get the message. Plain is good anyway. We had them make two custom pies - one ham and pineapple (fight me I was born in Utah and went to kindergarten in Hawaii) and one sausage mushroom and black olive or as my friend Derek calls it ANSI standard. They were both really good. They offer both a regular pepperoni and an "old world" pepperoni and i do mean to try a pepperoni or two next time i order. read more

OK, I've been a fan of Marcos since they arrived in Utah. I'm a pepperoni lover and fell in love with their "Old World Pepperoni." I like their online ordering system and I love that they have a "Well Done" box to click as I like my pizza crispy. I love it when the pepperonis are curled up and crispy on the edges. OK... so last night I went to order my usual and found out that they no longer offer the "Old World Pepperoni." What!? That was why I liked them, it's wht set them apart. Anyway, I thought I'd give it a shot with the regular pepperoni... I mean it's only pepperoni right? Of course I clicked the "Well Done" box and all was good. Unfortunately it wasn't good. I got the pizza and not only was it not well done, but it seemed hardly cooked, the crust was soggy the pepperoni was shiney and greasy looking and it was impossible to pick up and eat... Had to get a fork to eat soggy pizza. I could barely finish a single piece. I thought about putting it in the oven, but I was over it at that point. Anyway, not a good experience last night. Since they don't have the Old World Pepperoni, I'll try elsewhere next time. At least until they get it back, if they ever do. read more

What separates this store from other chain pizza restaurants is the quality of the ingredients is better than most. We usually order pizza couple times a month. We will hope around some of the local delivery joints and we have come to find Marcos is just better than the Dominos and Papa Johns alike. If your family had a member cursed with a "gluten sensitivity" Marcos GF pizza is larger than the rest and tastes pretty good, according to my wife. Cheese bread is better than some but not the best. If they'd adopt the dominos philosophy for cheese bread it would make this probably the overall best chain pizza joint around. read more

The service was excellent. Friendly staff. It is a budget pizza. $7 for a medium putting it in the price range of a 5 Buck Pizza or a Little Caesars, but way better. It's not the best pizza in the world, but it doesn't have to be. It is the price of a frozen pizza but with a taste to rival more expensive brands. I will be going back for sure. read more
