Marcor/Remi has left me was a very bad taste. The roofing took 1 rush day. the job was very Sloopy, there plastic flopping on my roof all over, debris all over the yard, I have picked up so many nails from their job. it took them 3 months to reinstall the panels and it still hasn't been turned on March 3, 2026 from November. No to mention the gutters are still on the ground in my backyard, and they are now pointing fingers on who is supposed to reinstall my gutters. It's a nightmare. read more

Have used them for multiple jobs. They use the best equipment and I would most definitely recommend them to anyone. Roofing in particular is an industry that is notorious for having "cheap alternatives" that cost you down the line. A good roof makes all the difference in a house that lasts. Marcor replaced my roof on Sept 18. My sales person, Gina, was very pleasant to work with and not a hard sell. My house is a colonial with attached garage. The installation people were fantastic. Had lots of guys working so they started at apx 8am an finished apx 3pm. That included new gutters and leaders. Very hard working people. They used tarps and sheets of wood where necessary to protect my shrubs. At my request they parked the truck at the curb rather than the driveway. The men were friendly and complied with a couple of requests. There cleanup was excellent. I did a pretty good scan of the property after and was really impressed at how clean they left it. They even removed some debris from a tree next to the house. Since then we have had a couple of hard rains and the new roof did what it was supposed to do. Keep out the rain. Good job. ONE OF THE WORST COMPANIES I HAVE EVER DEALT WITH. I contracted through Revolve remodeling and Marcor showed up to do my roof. My roof was fine but I wanted it replaced since I am installing solar panels and better safe then sorry. Well Marcor damaged my roof it is now leaking and they are not responding to calls to fix the problem. My Attic, Garage, Yard, and Patio was coved in debris which they did not clean up. They broke my patio awning said nothing and patched it with some black tar like substance. . This has been a terrible experience and now I will have to get someone to come in to fix what they have damaged. read more

We had a great experience with Marcor! They gave us a totally new roof and were SO communicative and courteous along the way. The project manager came to our door upon arrival and introduced himself. Seemed nice. Then, a bit later, he came back to the door and told us that our skylights were old and that we might need new ones-- UGH. I guess it was clear by our faces that that was a financial hardship for us because he immediately followed that up with a promise to do whatever he could to try to save them. Then, a few hours later, he came back to our door to tell us that our skylights were saved! We wanted to hug him! It would have been SO EASY for someone to take advantage of us, but he did not! This immediately gave us trust in the company. During roof day, we walked into and out of our house a couple of times with our young children. There were nails and bits of roof flying all around as the men atop our house worked, but every time we passed, they all stopped working and waited for us to pass safely. I though that was super nice and courteous! At the end, everything looked great and all the mess was cleaned up (except one of our gutters? One of our old gutters was down on our lawn. Not sure if it was really Marcor's JOB to take that away, but it certainly would have been nice. Minor detail though!). Marcor came courtesy of Sunation solar (see separate review). My roof was approximately 15 years old, and in good shape, but I was about to install solar panels, so I decided now was the best time to install a (new) roof. Additionally, I had planned to just lay new shingles over the existing ones. Along with that, there was an issue with the roof over the portico by my front door that had to be fixed. Gina came by, took pictures, and told me exactly what they would do. She then pointed out one of the possible reasons I was having a leak in the house. (Shingles were installed improperly) BTW: Gina had just come back on the redeye from the West Coast, after attending a construction conference. She was so determined to see my house, and put all the necessary wheels in motion ASAP - she showed up SUNDAY, 7:30 AM - where most people would have gone home to get some sleep, she was there to help my project get started! (And was there throughout the whole process as well) We then discussed the difference in price for installing over the existing roof versus installing a completely new (ripping the old one off) roof. The cost, though not cheap, was better than anything I had been quoted prior to this. I ultimately decided to install a completely new roof. The roofers managed to take down the old roof, and install the new one in less than 10 hours (this was done in late November, and it got dark by 5:30), including cleanup of all debris! The gutter people who were subcontracted, did a great job with one minor exception. When I contacted Gina, her response was "I'll take care of it immediately". Two days later, the guys came by, and fixed the problem in about 20 minutes! Like the solar company that hired them, I felt confident from the first moment, that not only would the job be done right; Marcor would stand behind their work and deal with any problems - no questions asked. Marcor lists themselves as a roofing company - if you are in need of a new roof, or simply a repair on your existing roof, I would wholeheartedly recommend you get in touch with this company! You guys at Marcor are EXCEPTIONAL! Was quoted a price about 55% below the competition to repair a flat roof and with a better guarantee (15 vs 10yrs). The guys came on time and were very professional. After cleanup it was as if noone was there. I highly recommend these gents for any type of roofing work. After several months of searching for a reputable roofing company, a co-worker who had their own roof done recommended Marcor. Last week, I had them install my new roof and I simply couldn't be happier. Gina was professional and friendly throughout the entire process, answering every question and being in no rush as we took plenty of time to decide on the shingle pattern. Jose and the rest of the crew arrived promptly that morning and were 100% completed by the early afternoon. I was surprised at how quickly and efficiently they worked, but the job was done and done well. It rained several days after installation and a spot in the attic that used to leak is no longer an issue. The only -- only -- "problem" I had was a handful of nails I found around our yard after they left. However, 1) Gina had explained to me before the work ever began that, due to the work required (hundreds and hundreds of nails being removed from my existing 80+ year old roof), some nails may end up escaping their otherwise-thorough cleanup. And 2) I'll take partial blame myself, since I'd forgotten to mow the back lawn that week and the taller grass simply hid some of the nails. Marcor is quite unprofessional and uncaring. I've been playing telephone tag with them to no avail. They did a complete gut out and replacement of my roof and skylights. They never put in flashing where it should be placed between the intersection of the first and second floor. The skylight was not installed properly is leaking and crooked. The frame is not attached on one side, and there is a large gap across one side between where the skylight is and where the frame is supposed to be. Gina Marzano, has more excuses, and continuously comes up with one excuse after another. Now claims you only get a one year warranty. I have given her several opportunities to rectify this situation to no avail. Since I am a senior on a limited income. They are taking advantage of me. Now she wants to get paid for a job that was incorrectly done at the time and for her poor installation and tactics. Absolutely not. Do not hire her. read more

I really can't say enough great things about the folks over at Marcor. They were recommended to me by a family member who had used them a few years back and I'm glad they did. They have always been very good to me and my family over the years. I always recommend them to my friends and now I'm recommending them to you. I first used them when I lived in Flushing when my roof sustained damage from a Tornado....... Yup we had a tornado in flushing, Queens. I dealt with Gina and she made the process a breeze. She walked me through the insurance process and made it really easy. The workers were great. They started nice and early and worked quickly and most importantly very neatly. Matter of fact if I hadn't seen them get there in the morning I would have never known they were there. No debris left whatsoever. The work was outstanding as far as I could tell but was further validated when we sold the house and the inspector said it was in tip top shape The second time I used them was when when we bought a new house. The one we bought had a roof that had been put on at two different occasions so one part was wearing thin. Truth be told the whole roof needed to be changed but we couldn't afford to do the whole thing so we just did the back addition section that was worse off. They explained our options and we were never pressured to do they whole thing. Once again the work was great as were the workers and I'll be calling them again this spring to take care of the other part. And maybe we'll add the front porch we've been taking about since we moved in. :) Again I really can't say enough great things about this company and the people who run it. Marcor truly came through! We offered up a challenge and they took it on.. Not only took it on, but exceeded our expectations. With a schedule including a house party of over 100 people hung over there head, with only 2 weeks to demo and hang 40 square of siding, in addition to quite a bit of Azek detail, they pulled it off with 2 days to spare. Gary not only took my project on as if it were his own, he and his head forman Santos (aka Picasso) bet the completion date and Gary won! All with maintaining absolute top notch quality.. over a week on demo and Azek detail with just a few days to hang certainteed shake and Board-n-Batton siding. My wife and I are quite particular and spent days planning with Kurt at Allied Materials (he was AWESOME!) it wasn't an easy design. All but typical. They (we) pulled it off!!! Gina helped me with an insurance claim on my moms house and I was not disappointed at all!

We contracted with marcor to replace the roof on our home last May. Marcor is a very sloppy company that leaves materials strewn all over the yard when they are done working. We've picked up over 1,000 nails from our gravel driveway and lawn. Additionally, they use old compressors that leak gas and oil, staining our stonework and discoloring our grass. Marcor insisted the project was completed and our roof was watertight (their words). A storm came that weekend and flooded our new kitchen. A second part of the roof in another part of the house also leaked. Major work was needed to fix the water damage. Marcor came back and insisted it was an oversight (they don't do quality control and the owner doesn't inspect the roofs) and has fixed the leak. A week later, there was another storm and the roof leaked again. Marcor returned to the home the next day and insisted this time it was fixed. We took a hose to the roof and shot the hose at the roof. The roof leaked yet again. They did something else and insisted we were watertight again. Just this week, the roof leaked for a fifth time. How many leaks does it take to determine if this company knows what they are doing? read more

As you seem to not want to admit fault - I will be glad here to produce more detail in this second review of your business practices - Thanks for this new opportunity. ------ A fully signed contract was approved by your company for new siding to be provided on ONE wall of my house due to a minor leak in ONE of my newly installed windows. We agreed upon NEW siding and NEW insulation on ONE COMPLETE wall of the house. The project was approved, pictures and measurements were taken and a price was agreed upon. We agreed upon the start and finish date which was to completed in one day. I provided a sample of my siding (which I never received back from you) so that you could match the siding with the rest of the house. I left a GENEROUS 50% deposit with you with the assumption that this was needed to start and finish the project in the time frame that I required. I took off a day of work (Tuesday) with the expectation of a project being done - I was told they would arrive at 7:00am ! I waited...and waited...and waited until about 11:00am - wondering what happen. I called my "Sales Rep" no answer .... I called your main office and was told to call my Sales Rep. I asked to speak to a manager to find out what was the status - and was told he is in a meeting. I called again an hour later, and then again hour later.....still the same response. I finally got a hold of the "girl" who answered the phone, and explained to me that someone would be calling me back about some type of estimate. I explained to her that I had no idea what she was talking about, as I was waiting for a team of Marco Construction people to be working on a project today. I asked to speak to a project manager or any employee and was told that there was no one to talk to as everyone was busy. She said, that someone would be getting back to me shortly. By the afternoon, I had still not received a call back or any information what was going on. I called again to your office to get some clarification. Once again I was told that a estimator would be coming to my house ...maybe..."if he wasn't busy" ..."today or tomorrow" with no explanation. What were you estimating - I already had a contract? I finally received a call in the afternoon from my "Sales Rep" telling me that the siding I had requested was no longer made and THAT was the delay. Really? That's funny - Alside siding is the most popular siding around. I finally reached someone - ONLY because I had to track down the owners email. There was absolutely NO one that would take my call and explain what was going on. I was told an estimator would show up the next morning to re-evaluate. {Could this be sellers remorse - was the job at $1900 to low?} The estimator showed up the next day (Wed) to retake measurements and retake pictures - Wasn't this done already? Finally, received an email response - NEVER a phone call ! This is now 2 days later (Thursday) After re-evaluation I was told I would need to: 1) Replace ALL 3 Anderson Windows (Wait - I only have a minor leak in 1 Window - what ?) 2) Replace "faccia wood boards" (What the entire wall? - Where?) 3) Replace Trim work..Siding..backing (Yes, this was true - this was part of the contract) How much would this cost - they never quoted me - were you to embarrassed?.....but by my estimate this would have been well over $7000. A little bait and switch here ....??? I had this job completed by another well respected organization a few weeks later - no issues, no problems - they delivered as promised according to the signed contract. They didn't need to replace 3 perfectly working Anderson windows. Maybe, a little honesty from your company would have been the proper thing to do, rather then try the old BAIT AND SWITCH based on your estimate that the job wasn't worth your time and effort. A signed contract is called a contract for a reason - You should learn what the terms means! Damaging winds from the June storms left large sections exposed on our roof causing it to be compromised. Gina was there for our family through every step of this process. I needed some shingles on my roof and the exhaust fan replaced. I told them that was what I needed. Mark came totally unprepared. He did not have a ladder, had no intention at looking at my roof and expected me to show him where the shingles were missing. He really came to sell me a whole new roof. a little repair that he would turn into a big job and profit for him. Stay away from Marcor and mark unless you like to be mislead and ripped off. From the very first conversation with Gina, my experience was amazing. Everything was explained to me in detail and options were given based on her experience to improve the outcome of the job. I've hired them for several jobs but most recently a new roof. They provided pictures as they went so I could see where I had damage and how it was fixed prior to the new roof being installed. In regards to Marcor's rebuttal on 7-1. It's laughable!!! That's exactly what happened!! Your "inept crew" did cause damage to my home, which I am still trying to repair. They did "hang out" on my deck for hours at a time, while a neighbor watched them. They were dropped off at my home, left unsupervised, then picked up at the end of the day by their "superior", who never checked the work!!!! When we complained, we got eyes rolling, and sub-standard solutions!! Money was demanded before completion, we were over the barrel and we paid in good faith, that you would do the right thing!!! How stupid we were!!!!!! Stop trying to sugar coat your errors!!!! I've heard that Marcor spread it's self too thin, took on too many jobs during Hurricane Sandy, and left a lot of customers with sub-standard work!!!!!!! Initially everything started out great with them. I had 6 windows installed on time. One window leaked, someone came and re-corked it and problem solved. The real problem is the crap windows they sold us. As soon as it got warm, we open the windows and two screens break. Then one of the windows came defected and have some type of condensation problem. I call the company and I'm directed to call "Richie" who both me and my husband have been playing phone tag withfor over a month. Rediculous customer service and crap product! I am writing this review for Marcor Construction Roofing to give our support to an incredible company, sales woman and crew. With a recent rainstorm on the island a few weeks back (beginning Dec) we had water, once again, running down the inside wall by our chimney. We knew the flashing on the fireplace was in poor condition and the roof was visually "strange" as the cedar shingles rippled. A few shingles went off during Sandy, but otherwise it seemed like things might be repairable. We had to replace our boiler and AC/heat pump in November so we were really in a bind financially. Plus, Christmas was right around the corner! We had been looking into solar panels to offset our heating/electric expenses and the verdict was our roof needed to be replaced. We were hoping to take advantage of the government incentives. As we researched five different roofers we found Marcor. My husband had seen a house they had done and was impressed by their roof quality and the home owner's review of Gina and Marcor. When we met with her she was very easy going, straight forward and thoroughly explained why they recommended what they did, how products worked, their process and timeframe options. We negotiated different options and while we did our own research Gina was easy to get in touch with, returned all phone calls promptly and emailed info as requested. She was understanding of our financial requests and worked with us to make a new roof a reality the day after Christmas! Within two days (Friday and Saturday post-Christmas) Marcor efficiently replaced our roof. It needed to be completely replaced and they had 15 people on site working like a well-oiled machine. We also liked that Gina was here at the start of the job, 7:30am, introduced us to the site manager, Jose, and the crew which is a standard crew they have had in place for years. It is an unbelievable sight to see! They were meticulous in their cleanup; I only found two nails in the entire yard!!! And truth be told, they were buried in leaves we never got around to cleaning up this fall. We were so impressed both days with picked up coffee and donuts for the crew and gave the best tip we could given the above mentioned situation. We wish we could have done more as they were all so professional. My husband and I even enjoyed the ongoing laughter amongst the men. Clearly they work well together so there were absolutely no issues. In summary, Gina was a delight, knowledgeable and ran a tight ship. Jose kept everyone on track and safe executing in 1 1/2 days what could have easily been a week or more for many other companies. Marcor provided excellent service and more importantly quality. It is wonderful to know after a stressful period in home ownership we now have a safe and dry place to live. I never write reviews but we were literally so blown away I had to carve out the time to attest to the outstanding work done on our home. read more

Marcor Roofing was wonderful. We had some damage to the roof after a wind storm. We did not have any contacts for a roofer, so we went to the home show at Nassau Coliseum and found 2 roofring companies. The first company made an appointment for an estimate, and then called to cancel. I'm so glad that they did. When Marcor called, they were able to come and give us an estimate within 2 days. Gina was wonderful! She handled all the insurance issues and told us exactly what to expect. The roofers came on time, and finished the job in one day. There were very careful to protect the house to make sure there was no damage, and even suggested taking the car out of the garage in case the banging caused anyting on the ceiling to fall and damage the car. They finished the project in one day. We were not able to find one single roofing nail left over after they were gone. One of my co-workers just told me about some issues she's having with her roof, and I was happy to give her Marcor's contact information. I wish every contractor I dealt with was as professional and courteous as Marcor. I will definitely use them when I reside the house in the spring. read more
