Horrible company - would give zero stars as they gave zero effort in quality work - the owner Marvin will come out and give you the you are in good hands spiel - you will never see him again ! Quotes you for sherwin williams paint and then shows up with Home Depot paint - damaged my house- painted over rust - hand prints in the paint - holes and cracks in the stucco - wood screws drilled through the wood and sticking out and just painted over - refused to do the job properly and breached his contract abandoned last two payments trying to tell me bare metal sticking through the stucco is industry standard and he won't fix anything read more

Needed a lot of wood repairs (siding, window trims and other boards) due to termite and dry rot damage. He was very quick to reply to my request for an estimate and once I hired his company he had a crew out the next day. They spent a good portion of the day making the repairs and I am extremely happy with the outcome. They matched the paint already on the house to it's not jumping out as just being repaired. Marvin and his team are fantastic. We hired them to do wood repair and painting after tenting for significant termite damage in a 40+ year old South Carlsbad house. Ultimately they removed several dilapidated planter boxes from the structure of the house, repaired the stucco, and painted the whole house and trim in addition to making wood repairs. I wanted to have MarCon bid on a 3 step job. The first step was repairing termite / wood rot eaves etc.. A fairly small job, but if that went well, we had some pretty big reconstruction and painting jobs for them to do. They promised the first bid to be back in 3-4 days. After 19 days of waiting (and me checking in with them every week), I cancelled my appointment tomorrow for Steps 2 and 3. There was no reason given for not getting me the 1st bid, but I can only assume they are either too busy or that small jobs are not their thing. This is totally fine, but communicating "No, sorry, can't do it" would have been the way to go, so it doesn't slow up my project timeline. Disappointed by their lack of interest, communication, and follow-thru. read more

We hired Marcon recently to take down an old wooden patio cover and they did a great job! They completed everything in two days, including the removal of all of the wood, re-painting of the house siding, and filling the posts' holes with concrete and matching it to the surrounding tiles. When we had our annual termite inspection we were told we had dry rot in two exterior doorways. We contacted Marcon Construction to give us an estimate of the repair costs. Marvin has to be the most ethical tradesman in San Diego! He assured us that the dry rot damage was so small it wasn't worth while for us to hire him to do the repairs. He also showed us how to fix the damage ourselves! It's so refreshing to find somebody that honest! Marvin came to my home on May 4, 2021 to give me a bid for power washing, stucco repair and painting my house. I was led to believe I would be getting a bid via email the next day. After a week I called and was told they were working on it and would send it the next day. It has now been over three weeks since they were here and I have yet to hear anything from them. read more

Can I give them extra stars? Our house hadn't been tented in 15 years, and I know the previous owner did some very shoddy repairs. So it was no surprise that we had significant wood damage throughout our house. Many fascia and trim planks had to be replaced, as well as several beams, a couple planter boxes (resulting in large stucco repairs.) Our tile roof needed a detailed power washing. Plus we needed a new paint job. Marvin came out to walk the house and discuss the projects and options. I dug his philosophy and ethics. I will say he will likely not be the least expensive option out there but that is for good reason... This team of exceptional workers took care of my home as if it were their own. The replaced all the wood we knew was necessary and probably more. They caulked every crack, nail hole and wood seam. They papered and tarped to ensure no mistakes, and cleaned up each day before they left. When the project was done they came back one more day to find any touch ups and tweak required and even came up with a design change that really looked much better. As much as I would hate to go through this process again, I would call Marvin and his team in a heartbeat. You should too. read more
