I highly recommend them, and I'll give you a few exact reasons why: - this is a local, family owned business with owners who care and respond to client needs with care and urgency. - quality of service and consistency in service provided - my pool always looks great!! - I've had numerous issues specific to my system- old pump busted, parts needing replacement, etc and every time I reach out to MPP I get an immediate call back and service response immediately. You will not get this level of response and quality care from the "big guys". -The MPP team will deal with manufacturers directly on your behalf and make sure the job gets done properly. - I never feel "nickel and dimed" - I pay my agreed upon subscription and anytime something "extra" is needed the team just takes care of it with no questions asked as long as it's reasonable. - most importantly- TRUST- this is family owned business who cares for my family owned asset and I trust their knowledge and expertise. -Every small business has growing pains, we should all take with a grain of salt those people who are too quick to leave hurtful negative reviews over trivial things. I bought a new cover from this company. I then had them close and re-open my pool. My motor was shot and They only gave me the most expensive option to fix it. And the system they were trying to install they were trying to over charge me hundreds of dollars of what I could of bought it for myself. So I get someone else to fix it for 1/4 of their estimate. When it is fixed and I get the system running there are cracks everywhere due to improper closing the year prior and freeze damage. I called this company on Friday and sent a video. I still never heard back from them. So, steer clear, not only will they over charge you but they will do damage to your pool and then not respond when you call them about it. read more

Just bought a house with my first pool and have been struggling/learning to maintain it. An equipment failure led to it turning green and my regular pool company could not schedule service for nearly a week. I called around and got the owner himself of Marco Polo Pools to come out that day who not only found and fixed my problem, he showed me details of the pool equipment and settings that my regular company never explained during "pool school" and showed me how to use the advanced version of a water testing kit which I can find online cheaper than in the store. This might be one of the worst pool company owners ever. The first person they assigned to our pool, Tony, was great. He worked tirelessly to get our pool chemicals in balance. Once they gave him a new route, the new person put on our pool didn't know what he was doing and would skip steps. He didn't add enough chlorine, wouldn't brush the sides, etc. When I reported to the owner that the sides didn't get brushed and chemicals didn't get added, to basically told me I didn't know what I was talking about. I told the owner I know when a pool has been brushed. They sent the guy back the next day and he used the hose connected to my filter to clean the filter (which shouldn't be done) and left it undone so that when I returned home from work, my pool was drained about 2 feet and my pool equipment area was flooded. Cut to 2 weeks later and our pool turned green so I added some extra chlorine myself and it went clear again. What am I even paying for at that point. 2 weeks later and it was green again. The owner doesn't do a good job of customer service, and is obviously hiring people that don't know what they are doing and the kicker of them all is when I fired the company, they weren't even competent enough to cancel the service correctly. I went to pinch-a-penny and got chlorine for my pool to shock it (as it was green due to their inability to keep a pool clean) and sure enough later that day, they send their guy out who then puts more chemicals in my pool and cleans out my filter leaving the green gunk all over my pool deck. When I asked the owner if someone came by today after I fired them the previous day, he denied it and then later had to come clean. This is just an awful company! read more

This company is attractive due to the value perceived from the scope of work compared with the price for weekly service. As the saying goes- you get what you pay for. Unfortunately, they are inconsistent and operate at bare minimums requiring supervision and repeated checking of their work. They also are poorly trained in water chemistry which has resulted in inconsistent record logs, and health department inspections resulting in corrective action and even a forced close. Check with your pool equipment manufacturer as the manufacturer website usually will list service providers who are versed and knowledgeable about your equipment. In my particular instance the manufacturer did not list this company but listed almost every other company in town. Calls and texts to the owner to resolve a number of problems fell on deaf ears failing to respond to my calls. read more

Thanks to Marco Polo Pool Service, we're celebrating the red, white and green today!! We have been using this company for several months now, and at first we were loving having a clear blue pool every day. Recently, the service has gone down hill. Twice in the past month our pool has turned green between weekly visits and looks as though it hasn't been brushed. The first time my husband contacted Cole, Cole stated that we were told that we needed a new pool filter. When we told him that our whole pool filtering system was just put in in March, Cole said he was short staffed and had multiple call outs that day. I can empathize with that and know how challenging it can be to find reliable staff, however, you would think a business owner with all these rave reviews about being responsive would have had the foresight to let us know that maybe our pool service would not be up to par due to staffing issues and let us have the option of deciding if we'd like to spend the money on chemicals ourselves for that week. This week, our pool is even more green than the previous time. When my husband reached out to Cole to ask if someone has been by, Cole has only responded to the fact that someone had come by but they were out of door tags. When my husband sent the pictures of our green pool to Cole (5 days after service), Cole did not respond. I understand it's a holiday week, however, I would think that owning a pool business you would prepare for summer holiday weeks to be busier as everyone wants to be outdoors and use their pools. Unfortunately for my husband, kids and I, we cannot use our pool unless we find some place open on the 4th of July that sells pool chemicals. Pictures featuring green pool and algae growing between weekly "service" and the sludge that came out of our filter that hasn't been cleaned by the technicians. This is the second holiday week that Marco Polo has failed to provide any sort of remedy to our issue. read more

We paid for 4 cleaning received 2... Here are the methods this company uses to steal from you... They will fill out multiple service cards (with different service dates) at the same time and take pictures of them on different areas of the pool area being held in the left hand, then the right hand, shirt sleeve down then up in the next picture. This give the illusion that service was completed when it actually wasn't, make sure they leave a card EACH TIME. They will tell you they can prove they were there through GPS. This is also false... They can pull the service vehicle up to the property and sit in it, never get out, then leave. GPS will show the time and during of stoppage...bit they never left the vehicle. Great ways to prove your service was completed... Turn your pool pump off at the breaker the day before your service appointment. If it's still off when you get home, service was not completed. Check your ring/security cameras and match them against the time in the card photos that they send you. If you can't find them on camera, they weren't there. Many, many pool cleaning companies do this. That is why we will clean our own pool from now on. This company, like many others in Orlando are liars and thieves. Learn to do the work yourselves. I'll be waiting for a response from the owner and have a rebuttle ready. read more
